👤There are a lot of great features on this rack. There are security features that lock the rack to your car and lock the bikes to the rack. Everything can be changed. I was able to get the bikes to fit together without touching them. It looks great when you fold it up against the car.

👤I have spent over $500 on Yakima and Thule rack and I use them 3-4 times a week. I decided to give the rack a try because I was impressed by the wall mount from the Vibrelli. It arrived on Thursday and I was impressed with the quality and features that I had 2 bikes on the back, each worth more than my car, doing a 300 mile drive for a weekend of riding and racing with friends. I put this thing through hell this weekend and it is now my primary rack. No problem with fat tires. No problem with rough fire roads. I-95 and 85 MPH, no problem, last minute repairs to your rig before go time, no problem. I only had to use the dropper on one of the 2 MTBs. This thing is solid. It took about 20 minutes to assemble, with good instructions and quality materials. I will be posting a video soon.

👤I replaced my roof-mounted bike rack with a hitch-mounted one and I am very happy. Overall quality is great. The instructions and how-to video made assembling the rack easy. My fat tire bike and road bike fit on the rack. You can access the truck with a press of the foot. The included cable lock and rubber pads are some of the things that really impressed me. Cyclists designed this. Would definitely recommend.

👤It took me a couple of days to figure out what type of bike rack I wanted. I looked at price, brands, reviews, aesthetic design, weight, and features. The features of the most recent and expensive ones were all present in the bike rack that I came across. I was not sure if it had only one review. It was put into the market recently. I think it's perfect for my needs, especially the aesthetic ones, there are some expensive racks that look bad when you leave them on, and they might obstruct the license plate and rear camera view. The 2 bike tray style rack was very nice. The parts and finish of the product look very good and the price is fair, as a Quality Manager I can tell. Positive reviews will start to show up soon, as it will soon be one of the most popular bike racks.

👤Wow. I'm new to the bike rack market. My wife has a 15lb rock Hopper and I have a 60lb ebike. We're going to get another ebike soon. A Kuat or Thule is just so expensive, because we just installed a hitch on our outback. I understand. They're very nice. Then I came across a book. I'm very happy. It is incredibly sturdy. It was easy to use. For me. There are multiple locking features, sold to me. You can save a few hundred dollars and support a good cause. I bet you will also love this rack.

👤I like this back rack. It came in a big box with well written instructions and assembly went with a hitch. There are three locks on this rack, one on each bike center tube hook and one on the hitch pin. If you don't have any bikes, it can be folded up on the car. I use a regular hitch pin that doesn't need to be screwed in and the rack feels really solid going down the road. Highly recommended.

👤It had everything I was looking for, and it didn't cost me more than $400, which was great. I wanted a rack for my bike. My E-bike is 60 lbs. and most rack couldn't carry it over 35 lbs. You would have to buy a tray just for 4 tires to get the $400 that the racks had. The price is unbeatable for what you get and everything about this carrier is exactly what I was looking for. Also works well. I'm confident that I'll be able to carring my bikes anywhere.

👤I needed a bike rack since the better trails and roads are an hour or so away from home. I was initially shocked by the high prices of bike Racks on the market such as the $750 Thule aluminum & plastic carrier. All load bearing parts are steel and heavy duty. The bike is hanging from the top tube rather than sitting securely on the bike wheels. The bike frame is secured with a hook. Lift gate access and easy loading are possible with the tilt feature. The construction is well designed. If you only have one bike, you don't need to use a lot of wheel carriers. The hook holds the bike down and in place there are straps for extra security and designed to prevent any bounce. I already had better and heavier duty motorcycle wheel tie-down straps that would hold on to the bike in the event of a catastrophic failure of the hook, which is why they were a bit short for 4 tires. This rack was very pleased with itself. I think it's the best for the price and features.

👤This is a let down. Everyone likes this rack. The issue I had with the stand was that it sits at a 100-115 degree angle towards the back of the car not allowing a second bike to fit without the handle bar edging the back window of my van. It's crazy. I was going to buy a 7 inch hitch extension to seat the bikes further out from the window. On my second local outing with my bike, the turn knob broke free and I didn't turn the screw. I had to disassemble my bike to get it out from under the arm which held it. Why was it lucky? The second bike is locked into a lower point of contact because the knob that broke is on the upper arm. The lower arm is trapped by the upper arm. I would have to cut the metal to get the second bike out. There is a problem with PLASTIC. It's never a good idea to make anything that requires tightening and securing plastic. The plastic being so open to the environment and in a vital point of usage will cause the racks to be stripped out or rotted within 2 years. Everyone will have an incident like this, and it will happen to them later on. The rack is smart and people are giving great reviews. They will not be happy later. It was disappointing to say the least. The rack is poorly constructed and designed.

👤The delivery was done in two days. The back of the camper has a 2 inch hitch mount. The hitch and bike rack meet and we put the stabilizer on where the hitch and bike rack meet. The rack is made so it doesn't wobble. The tie downs on the wheels were reinforced with additional straps. It didn't have to have either of these additions because the bikes are very heavy and expensive and we travel long distances. We purchased the bars for the step through bikes from Amazon to make sure we could properly lock them down. Adding the stabilizer to the hitch, the straps and the bars to the bike rack would have added more security. This is a nice rack that holds our bikes. We secured the cover for the bikes with bungee cords. Works well!

👤I gave up waiting for a Hollywood Rack Carrier after waiting for over half a year. It was highly recommended for use on a 5th Wheel RV, so I tried it out. The order was filled and I received it four days later. The instructions were easy to follow, but there were two questions: first, the reflectors on each side of the bottom tire bars when installed face upward, which would not reflect and second, the headlights on another vehicle, which were stuck on bars on the wrong side. The only way the Velcro works is after you loop the strap around the tire, you need to twist it to get it to stick on the fabric, again, no problem. The lock to secure your rack to your RV and the two locks to secure bike to rack are all locks with one key. The locking key can be tight at times, but the movements on the holding bar will solve any issues. When depressing the locking lever and moving the securing hook, be aware that pitching can occur. If you want to prevent up/down/side movement from the play in your hitch, buy a hitch tightener on Amazon, it is very inexpensive and could save you a lot of money. The upper bar on men's bikes is not included in our eBikes. It will not work on step through or women's bikes without a bar adapter. If you want to protect your investment in your eBike, strongly suggest a transportation bike cover. I always go one size larger than what I have, 2 bikes, 3 bike cover, I purchased a Team Obsidian three bike transportation cover. All of these items can be found on Amazon. The handlebars on my bike have different configurations and I need to tie a towel around my left one to keep my side mirror and brake lever from scratching. Do your research to find out what is best for you. Hope this helps. The biking season in northern Michigan is almost over. I have taken a few trips with the above items and have not had any problems. You don't need to buy a separate cover if you take the cover off. The photo above might help you with your question about attaching the small wire pigtail and installing theremovable pins.

👤There is a fatal flaw in this design. There is more to the locking mechanism for the tilt. When travelling down the road, it will back out. It is very worrisome. We were going to take a road trip from Washington State to Montana and we were so scared of the road that we bought this rack. We drilled a hole through the side to make sure the tilt doesn't release spontaneously. We love this rack but wouldn't recommend it until the manufacturer fixes the flaw.

👤In the last two months, I have bought two of these, one for my son and one for my daughter. They are being used for 70 pound rad rover e bikes. My son and daughter both have 70 pound bikes, both have used the hitch to transport the "140 pound combined weight" of the E bikes without issue, in my son's case he transported the bike's over a 7 day 1600 mile vacation. The hitch has a rated weight capacity, but they have held up just fine so far. The only problem is that the "covering" on the hook that holds the bike's down has worn through and is causing some scratching on the bike frame, our plan is to replace it with a rubber automotive heater hose. On 10/26/18, the date is up. I first tested it on a spare 2 inch receiver that I bolted to the wood floor of an in closed trailer, and it was safe. All of the 6 people that own 70lb rad Rover e bikes are using the Capstone rack to haul their bikes, usually 2 at a time, between friends and family.

👤I would have given this 5 star rating, except for two annoying things. The good things first. I bought to carry my bike. I was concerned about finding a bike rack that could handle 70 pounds of weight and 4.5 inch tires. The pros are 1. The bike rack is solid. It is very well made and it is solid because of the receiver tightening bolt. 2. It is very well designed with the folding tire platforms and various sliding components allowing you to modify it to nearly any bike. 3. The locking knobs allow you to piece of mind when traveling. I don't have to worry about the cable or lock rubbing on my bike or vehicle because I don't have to. 4. The design of the rack allows it to be tipped down or folded. Cons 1. The rack is sold as a fat tire. Although most of the design supports that, the one component which is inadequate is the yellow straps. They are too short for my fat tires. I'm not sure if they would fit small tires. I need to replace these straps. 2. This is a complaint from other people. The design of the receiver works well. You need a wrench to remove the rack. It would have been nice to have another lock on the knob.

👤This is the first product in a long time that I felt was worth the price. It was far more than what I paid for. I've had a few of the other manufacturers' racks and this one is just so well thought out and at least a quarter of the price. The packaging was good. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The anti-wiggle mechanism is very clever. The rack is as solid as the hitch once tightened. There are three locks. One for each bike and one for the hitch. If you loosen the knob on the rack, it will allow the rack to be folded to the side or removed. Pull out the back of the rack and tilt it quickly. I never thought my fat tire bike would fit on a rack, but it does and has room to spare. I can't say enough good about this rack. Would definitely recommend.

5. Hollywood Racks Sport Rider Electric

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider Electric

Cloud-9 saddles are the best choice for comfort on two wheels because of their over 7,000 positive ratings. Get on the Cloud with a seat that is not hard-as-nails. The maximum capacity of the bike rack is 80 lbs per bicycle. Any bike with up to 5 tires can be fitted with a universal wheel holder. The lock on the bike frame hooks is to deter thefts and includes a locking hitch pin. It's not compatible with 1-1/4" to 2'' hitches, and cannot be used with any trailer, towed vehicle, or fifth wheel. When not in use, the rack folds flat against the vehicle, making it easy to access cargo. Before mounting and transporting bikes on ebike rack, batteries on electric bikes must be removed.

Brand: Hollywood Racks

👤The rack has strong wheel loops. The bikes are held down by the zip straps on the loops. The hitch receiver, hooks, and a heavy locking cable are all similar to a key, and the rack has four keys, which are useful to cover all the keys in your car. We use an SUV and an RV for carrying the bikes. Our two bikes are 20x4 fat-tire Lectric XP Step-Thrus, weighing 63 lbs apiece with their batteries, which we leave in for short trips. The rack is a little heavy with all that weight stuck out of the hitch receiver, but it doesn't seem to have a problem with the steel or welds. There is a If you have 20 tires and a derailleur, you will need a small tire adapters. The loops have a derailleur out of them. The rack hooks are not cheap, and you will need an additional adapter for step-thrus. The end result is worth the two unpleasant surprise expenses of about $120 per bike. Don't worry about your babies hanging on the back, because there is nothing cheap about this place, and take your batteries out for long trips.

👤I used the rack on my truck before I submitted the review. I have two bikes. I had to make sure they were evenly spacing when mounted on the rack. It is not as easy to position/reposition the wheel adjusters. The rack handles both bikes well. I take off batteries and locks for travel. I was surprised to see that the bikes were not visible on either side of the car, just something to keep in mind, they are about a foot taller than the car. It is not a concern for a truck. The rack is very well made and higher priced than the competition. The hitch is slightly bent upwards for better clearance, which is important when mounting on a low-sitting sedan/hatchback. I can use my truck's bed and the sedan's lift back when the rack is in use. The rack is worth the money.

👤We have had a carrier for over 7 years. We have electric bikes, but they're not rated for that much weight and are getting old, so we're not really trusting them. 'metal fatigue' is what it is. The Saris Freedom Bike Rack is rated for the weight and we ordered it here in July. The upright bar and straps make it difficult to get the tires to stay in while you strap. The straps are ridiculous. We sold it for half what we paid after we kept it past the return date. It looked like it was close to the old one we liked, but it was rated more than our bikes weight. It folds, which is a really good feature for us. This is a perfect replacement because of the other upgrades. The way it goes into the receiver is amazing. It took about an hour to put it together. The Humane Society Gift Shop has the old one. We love this one! If you don't have heavy bikes, this is a great carrier.

6. Thule Easyfold Hitch Mount Carrier

Thule Easyfold Hitch Mount Carrier

The Anti-Wobble device is included. Premium, high-load capacity bike rack is ideal for heavy bikes. The bike loading ramp is folding. It works with 1.25" and 2. Installation is fast and easy. Attach and secure bikes with knobs and straps. The design has a carry handle and transport wheels. Lock bikes to the rack and rack to the receiver with the smart foot pedal tilt.

Brand: Thule

👤It pains me to give a low review for this bike rack, but I think they missed the mark on quality engineering. I bought the rack to fit the weight and tire size of the e- bikes. My e-bikes are 65 lbs each. The tires are fat. The tires are claimed to be up to 4.5” and 65 lbs. My experience with previous Thule bike rack made them the perfect choice for my new bike rack. The tire width of 4” is below the max designed width limit, so the bike rack width is insufficient to accommodate my e-bikes without squeezing them together. I put the first bike on to make sure the tires are on the rack. I put the second bike on and have someone lean it out, secure the wheels, and then squeeze it into the first bike to attach the clamp. The bikes being squeezed together seems to increase the risk of the bikes breaking loose, as the clamps do not appear to adequately attach to the bike frames. I put a cable between the bikes and the car. The bikes will be dragged rather than hitting the car behind if something goes wrong. I will make the safety measures for this rack better in order to reduce the risk of injury. The size of the rack attachment to the hitch is a concern for me. The yield movement of the rack mount structure is excessive when I use the tilt feature to get into the back of the car. The batteries, seats, and everything else are easily removed to reduce the weight. I like the idea of the design. I have to use many different ways to be able to use the bike rack.

👤It's good for bike hitch racks. It can handle 2 bikes at 65 lbs each. There is a card board box and plastic wrap on the arm of the bike. Maybe 12 by 12 inches. It is out of the box. 45 pounds. Unfold it and put it in a car hitch. This is the third iteration of the bike rack and it is wonderful. Load and unload quickly. You don't have to lift a 65 pound bike with the folding ramp. Roll it up the ramp. Unlike most Thules where there are dozens of parts that have to be purchased and installed, this involves no tools and is one part only. I've had three roof rack before and two of them were Thule with lots of parts to assemble. This one part woder is not like that. Absolutely love this rack.

👤I picked it up when it was 20% off. One of the few carriers that supports the weight of an ebike. It works well with the Raleigh Redux iE Stepover Medium size. The frame can be secured with the big clamp. It is lightweight, easy to install, and has a fold up ramp for easier loading and unloading bikes. There is no expansion capability. It is about the size of a carry-on suitcase. I leave it in the back of the SUV when I need it.

MaxxHaul 50027 Hitch Platform 2 Bike

The silver and blue lens have anti-glare coefficients of 50% and 75%, respectively. The hooks are foam-padded and do not scratch the bike's finish. 👤The product was in good condition. Over the years, we've had several bike racks. The type that hangs your bike from the cross bar is all of them. There are only two frames we have to transport. The female bike was a pain with the extra bar. Not any more. We love this rack. It took about 15 minutes to get it together. It works well in our 2 inch receiver and is stable. They said it was rock solid when I used the clamps. The bikes are super secure and easy to load. Going down the freeway. Awesome. The name brand units are a great price if you check them out. The quality is very good. Highly recommend this product.

👤You can tell by the weight of the box that it is a large hunk of metal. Do not be deterred by the posts that say "too many parts" or that it's too confusing. The average person can figure this out in 20 minutes if they have pictures and instructions. You will want to use the hitch lock piece. It is a deterrent to theft as someone will need a deep sockets or inc wrench before they can remove the carrier, and it keeps the carrier rock solid in the receiver. It will take more work to get your bikes to fit without touching each other. The bikes are reversed in the photos that come with the carrier. I couldn't make it work. The seat on one bike was hit by the handlebars on the other. I have two bikes facing the same direction and the carrier works great. Everything was safe and sound because of a high speed run down the freeway and a drive all over Houston's crappy streets. The red arrow should be noted. As with all bike carriers, it is important that you put some kind of material between the bike and the carrier, as movement and vibration can wear paint.

👤I was worried about the price and the fact that it had no reviews, but it was easy to put together and it fits on the back of my jeep wrangler with the spare tire.

👤I read reviews. When I do, I take out the 5 stars because they must own the company or own stock. One star can't even see the pictures and this is easy to assemble. Period. I saw a lot of things. The husband and wife team. It's funny. Repacked and sent it back? You sent the bike rack back. Not a bolt or washer to assemble! The rubber tire straps would be difficult to push over the steel peg. The instructions were terrible. Agree! Take a look at the parts picture. Use common sense. It is easy. I adjusted the bike by shaking it. It is going to your destination. There are no off loading your bike pics. The bottom line. I look forward to my first trip with my bikes because of the inexpensive, sturdy, easy to assemble bike rack. The bike rack is very EXPENSIVE but at a fraction of the cost of a bike shop rack. There are bike shops waiting for you if you can't figure it out. Enjoy your travels with your bikes.

👤I got the rack 4 days late. It is possible for theUPS to get delayed. All parts were present when the box was opened. The first problem was discovered when Began assembling per good written directions. The bike rack is locked with a key. This is a good feature of the carrier and it is over $200. The lock on the bike was not compatible with the bolt provided by the kit and would not turn. I might have had to call the company and get a replacement lock or bolt. I was able to identify the problem andTrademarkiaTrademarkiaTrademarkia, I filed down the tip of the bolt so it fit into the lock and the key turned. Most people wouldn't be able to do this. I put the rest of the carrier together. I discovered how heavy the bike was when I lifted it onto the carrier. I strained to get it onto the carrier. If you only plan to use one of the carriers, this would be a problem. Lifting your bike into the inner slot will be difficult if you don't use the outer one. I tried to remove the carrier when not in use. There was another problem encountered. To remove the carrier, I had to lie down under my car and unlatch the hitch lock, use a sockets wrench and stand up and carry the carrier to a place of storage. 40 lbs is like a sack of grain. It took me a long time to move it because I am 72. I have used the carrier twice and it has been great. After removing the outer rack, I was able to maneuver my single Ebike onto the inner rack. The carrier is heavy and difficult to carry, you may have to lie under your car to get it on and off, and if the hitch lock doesn't turn, be prepared to call the company for a working replacement.

👤Everything I was looking for was what I was looking for. You tighten the threaded bolt, the hitch doesn't wobble again. The bolt has a key lock to prevent theft. It doesn't require wheel holders to be mounted, but I can put one bike or two. If you need to open the trunk, the rack folds up or down. The assembly is made of metal and it is very sturdy. I like the straps for the wheels. Also comes with a strap. The price is not the cheapest, but it is a great value. There were a lot of pictures and rack on Amazon. This one was the best.

👤It was great for the price. It's a little heavy when storing but it holds the bikes well. It tilts for easy bike removal. I don't have to tilt my trunk because it clears it.

👤It took a lot of searching to find a rack that could hold the 73 pounds of cargo and not cost more than $500 and fit a 1 inch receiver. So far, I love this rack. The bike was very secure and I only used it once over 10 miles. It is a challenge to life the big bike on the rack, but that is not the fault of the rack. The Hidden Hitch is tucked under the bumper of my Mazda 5. The hitch hit the bumper and was not long enough to fit in the bolts. I put a notch in the angle brackets to make it fit. The rack was not able to slide in far enough because of a bump inside the receiver. The rack shaft was cut off. It is still stable and solid. I probably won't carry a second bike. The mount is closest to the car. I don't see a way to post pictures. Overall, very happy.

9. Saris Superclamp EX 2 Bike Rack

Saris Superclamp EX 2 Bike Rack

Features: Universal hitch works with 114” and 2” hitch receivers, and the arms pivot on case hardened brackets for superior strength.

Brand: Saris

👤I would like to like this rack. In February, I purchased using Amazon points. Went on an 800 mile trip. I noticed that the bike rack was moving too much. The hitch base plate was showing signs of metal fatigue. I requested relief from the warranty department after documenting the issue. The bike rack issue was caused by user error and they wouldn't warranty it. I understand that products fail, but I feel that Saris sold me a bad product and won't honor their warranty.

👤A nice rack. This is my first Superclamp style rack and I'm changing from an old Saris hanging style rack. It was difficult to get four bikes onto the hanger. I'm taking away one star because I received a returned product. I was not sure if it was a new item or not, but upon unpacking, I realized that the parts were not sealed in bags as one would expect, and I was missing one of the two included keys. The tire baskets require 3 small nuts to be fastened, but I didn't find them during assembly. It was quite an annoyance that the issue was fixed by a quick run to the hardware store. The part that goes into the hitch was also put in before. I think it's fair to deduct a star from a product, but I think it's part of the buying experience on Amazon. Assembly was easy. It could be done in 30 minutes if I had all the necessary parts. There is a The bikes that I am loading are as follows: It took a few people to find the right fit. The closest I could get to the car was the 26. The front tire faces have stickers that tell you which side it is on. There were no issues fitting the tires in the baskets. One of the biggest issues I have is that I can't fit the two together. I had to remove the left arm to place the tire baskets inside. They usually go on the outside of the arm. I was able to put the basket inside of the arm and make sure the 20 was in the baskets. The arm that secures the top of the tire doesn't go far enough to secure the tire that is smaller. I think I could angle the arm out enough so that it would hold if I had two similar bikes. To get around this, strap down the tires and use bungee cords. I don't think it will come loose because it has the 24 on the outside. I tried to lower the rack so I could get to the trunk. This thing gets heavy. There's a way to successfully lower this thing. I injured myself on my first try. I would suggest not to ride the bikes. Lifting it back up wasn't that bad once I figured out how to hold the arms of the frame. Having a mechanism that clicks into place when it reaches a certain level is very nice. I don't need to hold it up and put a pin in it. The trunk was easy to access when the rack was lowered. There was a lot of clearance between the bikes and the trunk. One of the locks was pulled completely out. The locking housing is connected to the frame by a small catch. They used a wrong side housing. I called customer service and they said they would send me a new one in a few days. This must have slipped through the cracks. The locks that are included are nice, but they would be better if they were just 6 inches longer. The lock on the first two bikes is hard to open once the second set of bikes are on. The straps that hold down the tires are not very nice. The tire goes on top of the strap when you put the bike in. You have to lift the bike again to get the strap out. Another issue. I can't fold up the rack when it's empty. The hitch is 3.5 inches from the bumper. It wouldn't be a problem if it were an inch or two further out. I am happy with the rack. It seems like it will hold up. I don't think there's a way to make it easier to load and unload the bikes. It takes up a lot of space in the garage. I would give the product 5 stars, but minus one for receiving a returned item. I'll update the review once I get to travel, but that's it for now.

👤The bike rack was great and I was able to use it one time, so it would have been a 5 star review. I tried to remove the locking hitch pin from my hitch receiver, but it was very difficult, and I had to try and remove the rack from my car. The hitch pin lock is locked indefinitely and the only time I was able to open it was that. One of the arms that holds the bike in place will not turn the lock. The rack was great for a fat tire e-bike, however the poor locks now render it useless and it can no longer be attached to my hitch. This bike rack would be great if it had better locks. Only one of the three locks works.

👤I own two e bikes. They are 70 lbs each. The rack has enough wheel supports for both fat tires and both. This is the right rack for heavier fat tire bikes.

👤The quality of the entire rack is very good. I have no problem getting my Fat tire bike in the rack even with my limitations. Strong mating surfaces are easy to assemble. It folds up nicely for storage. Design flaws: 1. I recommend a cable lock through the car frame because the locking hooks can be defeated by letting the air out of the tires. 2. The pin lock and anti rattle bolt design are excellent, but make sure the lock fully opens before installing it. It took a half hour to get enough leverage to remove the defect, and you have to risk pliers on the key to do it. He sent me a new one. 3. The bike support assembly can be stolen if you remove the one bolt that secures it to the tongue. I would like to know if they use the same PIN lock for this. This is an excellent device. Hyperax sent me a new lock and pin. Excellent.

👤All part seems heavy duty. The bolt that secured the receiver was too short. The lock wouldn't work. It had to be locked down so that it could catch. They company responded to the issue and immediately corrected it. A new lock and a longer pin are sent. I was very impressed with the immediate reaction and remedy. They said they will have longer pins. Great job!

👤I bought this to transport the e bikes. There aren't many bike hitch that can handle this amount of weight. It's a great deal because it's about 1/2 the price of the others that can handle that weight. The parts and directions were labeled well. It took me about an hour to put it all together. I would recommend this carrier to anyone.

👤Holds my bikes safe. The rack is very static when driving. The ones that come with the wheels come with work well, so I would like to see a higher quality strap for them. You won't look back, like you would on a rack, where the bikes are moving around and you wonder if they are secure. A lot of metal with plastic parts.

👤The loaded e bikes went down the interstate. I looked in the rear view mirror to see a bike disappear. My cable lock caught the bike and kept it from hitting the highway. I locked the rack brackets again but tightened the cable. The bike was loose again within five miles. The retaining locks are plastic and will slip even locked. I used a strap to hold the bikes in place. The force off the locking brackets was held by this. Don't use this without a tightened strap.

👤This is a sturdy rack that holds our bikes. We almost lost the bike twice because the previous version of the locking hooks had screw clamps that were too tight. There are some design/fabrication flaws that only earn 3 stars. The center post that carries the two bike hooks has grooves on the right side. It is difficult to attach the bikes. The long hook should be put on first. The short hook can't be used because it needs to go below the long hook. If you place the short hook on first, then secure the first bike with the long hook, you can't place the second bike on the rack because the short hook can't be raised high enough. The center post was solved by reversing the post so the grooves on the left side were re-bolted. It took a couple of minutes. I can use the short hook first to secure the bike closest to the car, followed by the long hook to secure the second bike on the back. If the manufacturer put grooves on both sides of the center post, you could choose which hook to install first. I noticed that the rearmost plate that holds the post swivel bolt has a small indent on its outside face, which is meant to engage the spring-loaded detent ball that holds the post upright. The plate was welded in the wrong direction. It's difficult to disengage the spring- loaded ball from its detent hole, and it's even harder to get the ball out of the front of the post. The 'ease of use' of the rack is reduced by these two defects. I hope the seller takes notice.

👤The unit is so high that I can't open it. The unit is cheap and awkward. It is clumsy and not very sturdy. Additionally... When I returned it, they only gave me 1/2 of my money back because parts were missing. I would have sold it myself if I had known I wasn't getting all my money back. What a rip off!

👤Hauling an e bike and a regular bike. The first time I put it together, I put the support arms on top of the retaining screws since the instructions didn't say so. If the screws are on the top, water may be able to enter if the arms are inverted. We had to use a short retaining arm to get the e bike to engage the cross bar on a step through model. We wanted the heavier e bike to sit on the inside, closest to the car and the center of gravity. The center arm can be flipped 180 degrees to allow this. If you use two hands, you can secure the bikes by moving the retaining clamps up or down the center arm. It works great with two hands.
