👤It works but always stops a quarter inch from the end. I have to twist the lid to get it off the can.
👤The can opener broke.
👤This opener is a little bit different than my 888-739-5110 This has a little more get up and go, the only thing I'm not happy about is that you can't stop it in mid operation, you have to wait for it to complete even when the can has been opened.
7-1/4 inches wide by 5 inches high and 6 inches deep. Big in power. The cutter can be removed from the sink or dishwasher. "Power Pierce" punctures the lids. The position can start and let go. It automatically shuts off.
👤It was the same as my previous one. The cost was very high.
👤The screws weren't long enough to fit through the cabinet. It has been on the shelf for 50 years. The box is yellow with age, as is the paper instructions booklet. The opener is yellow. I think it's ridiculous that the model is very old. You would think it would be in gold.
👤The under cabinet can opener was in an open box and didn't have the mount brackets, installation instructions or screws. We used our old brackets because we were replacing our old one. I was very disappointed to get an incomplete item.
👤Don't buy it. It is what it says it is, it came in a box with no instructions, yellow from use and dirty. You will not get a complete refund until it goes back to MD.
👤I bought this to replace the one I bought 20 years ago. My husband removed the mounting brackets and hardware when the old one broke. The new mounting brackets is not as strong as the old one and it does not have the bag opener and knife sharpener.
👤It had no hardware to hang it on my cabinet and it came in a plane box.
👤I disliked the price, but it will be new as advertisement. My mother had one. I wanted one like that. It's easy to use and takes up no room on the counter.
👤The can opener broke the first time we used it. It was very disappointing. It was a waste of money.
The new Soft-Touch ergonomics design makes it easier to store. The Smooth Edges can opener leaves no Sharps Edges, which makes it safer to use than a regular opener. It is easy to use, just place the electric can opener on the can and press the button. The battery is not included. It is a hands-free can opening solution. The Kitchenmuh electric can opener is perfect for almost all size of cans, it's a great help for the kitchen. The button will turn it on and stop after the finish opening. It's perfect for left-handed person, disabled person, and person with arthritis. It is easy to store in a drawer. The electric can opener is a great gift. It's a great gift for your parents, friends, family members or elders.
👤I made a video to show you that this product works. When I shop on Amazon, I look for products with pictures or videos so that I can see if it works. I tested this out. This product works for you with the press of a button. This would be a great can opener for seniors or people with arthritis. I give it a thumbs up.
👤The can opener is very easy to operate and press the button away from the can. It leaves a flawless finish to the lid. You can't cut your fingers on sharp edges. It leaves a flawless finish to the lid. I wish I had seen this can opener a long time ago. Excellent recommendation. 1. No nasty, sharp edges are left on your opened cans. 2. It's easy to use. 3. It's small and can easily be put away in a drawer after use. 4. It has a textured outer grip that fits perfectly in the palm. 5. It's easy to install a battery. AA batteries are not included. 6. It's as quick as using a mechanical one. 7. It's easy to keep clean. To use, place the device on top of the can, with the lip of the tin positioned between the small metal gear and the round cutting blade. It seems like the device finds its right position when put on top of the can. You press the large button and leave it to do its job. The lid can be lifted away from the can if it is switched off. I think this is a great investment. I hope you found my review useful.
👤The reviews were mostly positive, and I bought this because it wasn't much more expensive than a good manual can opener. To tell the truth is something I'm not very satisfied with. It can be difficult to get started, and it can be dangerous to cut through the center of the rim, leaving the entire can with a dangerous sharp edge. That is worse than a sharp lid. After opening is finished, it stops. I just keep on running. I have to pull the messy lid out of its jaws, which takes a minute, while it's still going around and around. It does open cans, but I don't like it.
👤I thought it would be better than a plug in. I was wrong. It doesn't use batteries like other things. Maybe five cans are dead. The batteries should be taken out after every use. I can't get the thing open if I wanted to. It starts to run and stop. Half the time when it's still running and won't let go of the lid. A waste of money.
👤I bought this type of can opener many years ago. The Toucan model was seen on TV. It had to go around many times before cutting through the lid to get to the actual rim. I thought where the opener was cutting was efficient, but it was not. It fell apart after not much use. I could reassemble it, but it would do this again. I gave up on it. I found another one from the discount store. I found it to be better built and it cuts below the rim. One day it didn't turn on, I worked better, then one day it didn't. I swapped the batteries and it died. The electric can opener from Oster was not very functional and it had difficulty hanging on to the can. It was on sale at Target. I know why it was always on sale. I looked for another hand free opener like the one that failed and found one. It took a second or two but it grabbed the can and opened it. This is normal from my previous devices. If it's up against the can and doesn't start cutting right away, it will grab it and start. It turned itself off when it was done. There was a small piece of metal still connected, but it kept the lid in place and a simple twist removed it. It doesn't happen every time, but it is a factor of the cans being made more flimsy so they bend away easier. Since cans with water/liquid filled to the brim are being cut from the side, you can expect a little to pour out. I always use a can on a small paper plate to catch that. The opener works as expected. I expect this to last if the discount unit doesn't turn on, because longevity can only be tested over time. So far, so good. If you want to try one or replace a bad one, I would recommend this model.

A hands free can opener is a great help for people with challenges gripping, best friend, seniors suffering from arthritis problem. Click "contact seller" if you want to get rid of the hassle of money back.
👤It doesn't work as shown. Goes slowly around the can. It takes around 3-4 times to cut through the metal. The knife tip needs to be sharp to break the lid. We tried it for a month. Practice didn't make it easier to use. We finally ordered the "old fashioned" type of can opener.
👤Loud. It doesn't fit all size cans. It feels cheap. Between uses, have to take batteries out. Getting the battery compartment to open is a huge pain. It's horrible!
👤I only had it for a couple of weeks but it is amazing.
👤I threw it out because it was very hard to understand and there was no setup instructions. Money is wasted.
👤One of the best products on the market. The only thing it does is keep running, maybe automatic stop would be nice. It is a great product.
👤It is better than the manual one, but it is slow and loud. I start it and walk away and do other things.
👤Don't waste time or money on this purchase. If it ever did open it had to circle the can 3 to 5 times. The lid was difficult to remove. The can opener wouldn't cut off even when you pressed the button.
Plugs in for easy overnight use. There are three in one - electric can opener, knife sharpener and bottle opener. Extra tall can opener opens cans. The lever is replaceable for easy cleaning. There is a built-in cord storage. 1 year manufacturer warranty
👤It feels like it will fall apart when used. It is not certain that it will last long. It vibrates a lot when it is functioning and slows and speeds up and sometimes stops altogether, yet the motor is still trying to turn while in use. It seems like every time I try to open it, it stops and goes on. I got what I paid for, but I hope it lasts for a while. I have used it a dozen times and it feels shaky but it is doing its job so far and I can not ask for anything more. Three stars!
👤It is the worst opener I have ever had. You can't open it in the right position. I will throw it in the garbage.
👤The opener works well, but the knife sharpener isn't great. I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase.
👤The can opener is not worth anything. It is very loud, hard to open, and it does not open very well. Replacing hand held one is not worth it.
👤I loved the can opener as it had a sleek loo. After a short time, it stopped working. They did not respond when I contacted them. It was very disappointing to order at your own risk.
👤It took forever to receive! I used it for the first time. Don't waste your money!
👤The product is junk. It was difficult to get a can attached to the cutter after getting the first one. Returned it and got another one. I returned that one as well. I should have stayed with that brand.
👤Don't buy garbage at any price. There are zero stars.
👤I received a broken can opener box and it looked like someone had put a used one in it. My husband fixed the can opener's missing magnet because it was too much of a hassle to send it back. I don't recommend.
👤It's difficult to get can in and run.
👤The product is very good.
👤Grear used it for the first time.
👤It's much easier to use a manual one.
We offer only the best quality products designed to make your life easier. If you need help, please contact them, their professional customer support is here for you. The design automatically opens cans in seconds. The opener cuts from the side of the can below the rim for safe use. All sizes of cans are suitable for this can opener. The batteries are not included in the battery operated. The quality of the can opener is guaranteed for 2 years. The can opener is easy to use and clean.
👤Is that true? I am not affiliated with the manufacturer and always write from my experience. I received this item for free in exchange for my honest review. It's the same thing. It's not a good thing I have reviewed several of these that claimed to be the be-all to end-all of self- opening can openers. When I got this to review, I was skeptical. I was wrong. This product is made by Zyliss. We made pozole for dinner and for 12 people, this meant 2 cans of hominy. I put the batteries in and watched it do its job. The cans were opened in under 90 seconds, and there were no sharp edges. You can place the unit on the can with the cutting wheel on the outside of the can rim, press the button, and watch it walk around the can. The can is finished when you hear it pop. Wait 3 seconds for the button to stop. It does not have a sensor so that when the can is open it stops. The built-in magnet lifts the lid off the can, making it a nice safe edge. It works with any size can and leaves the edge smooth. It's a breeze to clean up, and it's safe for kids to use. Remove the batteries, front edge, and label from the cutting wheel and you're good to go. You are ready for the next time if you snap it back together. I have spent over $100 on these types of openers and have thrown them out or returned them. I am ordering for all four units of the four-plex to have a home with us. It uses 2 AA batteries, not included, but you can find them in bulk on Amazon. It's not the cheapest of the automatic openers, but it works and that makes it worth a few extra dollars. End of review It's not a good thing Thank you for taking the time to read my review. If you found this review helpful or just had a laugh out of it, please let me know by clicking on theHelpful button below. I would like to thank you in advance. I don't get paid for my reviews, but I try to help potential buyers make an informed choice.
👤I had a can opener that worked for many years, but it died. I went to replace it, but didn't know I would go through so many useless can openers. This one seems to work, I have tried 10 or so of them and this is the only one that seems to work. I am used to that feature, but I am very happy to finally have a small automatic can opener that works.
👤It has a built-in timer for the blade to turn, which gives you plenty of time to open the cans. You can't see where the cutting blade is relative to the can itself, so just a couple of important items to help you. It will take a few tries before you get it right. Make sure you keep the can counter-clockwise to keep the opener from reset. There are four The can will be open when you finish, the lid will be attached to the opener. Highly recommended.
LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY: This can opener has a lifetime limited warranty. The can opener has a power cut blade. Press-and-release lever can easily be used to open cans. The extra-wide base stops sliding or tipping. The magnetic lid holder is easy to clean. The product was built to the standards of North America.
👤It is incredibly easy to use.
👤I like to use Cuisinart products. I own a food processor, a food processor, a food processor, a food processor. It's disappointing to have to give a poor review. The plastic lever broke on the first use. I hope the plastic is not used for this piece of the can opener.
👤I love this can opener. I have terrible arthritis and have tried many other openers. This one is very easy to use. The can opens by itself when you lower the lever. The price is reasonable. I would suggest the company to advertise for people with arthritis because it makes my life a lot easier. Light weight and easy to clean.
👤This worked a few times and then stopped. I have to securely ship it to AZ and include another $10 for them to ship it back when it is repaired, which is 888-270-6611 It was definitely a strike against Cuisinart.
👤The appliance is not constructed with the high quality that has been the hallmark of Cuisinart. The current product is manufactured off shore in China and lacks the quality that is acceptable.
👤I changed my rating from 3 stars to 1 star after the can opener stopped working. The motor runs and the gear turns the can, but the blade doesn't pierce the lid. It seems that it has pushed itself up into the cutting mechanism, which means that it can't open cans it was intended to do. I wonder if Amazon should continue to sell this can opener. I had to replace my electric can opener. The previous one was the kind that was cut under the rim. I had to keep the handle pushed down until the can was open. It struggled to open cans at the end of its life, and those that it did open had a sharp edge. I wanted to go back to a traditional electric can opener, one with a magnetic lid holder, an automatic shut off, and the ability to hold the can until I removed it, when it came time to replace it. I did a lot of research before choosing this one. The electric can opener I wanted was one of the few that had 100% five-star reviews. I went ahead with the purchase even though a few reviews mentioned that it shredded can labels while opening, but I thought that it was probably due to user error rather than a design flaw. I should have believed the reviews. I give it three stars because it is easy to use, holds and opens cans easily, and shuts off when finished. It's ridiculous that I have to clean the counter and opener every time I open a can with a label because it shreds labels. Buyers will understand what I mean if they see a few photos. There is paper dust on the black lip of the opener and on the can of dog food I just opened. The shredded label beneath the rim is shown in the other photos. I have never had a can opener that does this. It's not a problem that they've done nothing to correct. I'll probably replace it with one from another manufacturer.
A professional and safe electric can opener is a great gift. Electric can opener is a great gift for beginners and also a great gift for women who are suffering from hand pain or arthritis. A bottle opener and knife. The cans are big and tall.
👤I like it. It is very easy to use. It works perfectly. Never spit, spill or splatter. I have not used the knife sharpener. I have owned it for 3 years and I think I should write a review. After 3 years, it is still working the same way it did when I bought it. It is worth five stars to me. I thought I would use the knife sharpener because my knives don't cut well anymore. I was afraid that I would hurt the million dollar knives that I haven't been using for 6 years, so I decided to use a knife that I had never used before. I have never looked up how tosharpen knives. I think so.
👤The can opener is not worth much. It doesn't work very well, it's hard to put a can in it, the cans fall off when you open them, and the blade assembly falls out when you remove a can. We replaced the B&D can opener we bought 25 years ago with this piece of poorly designed crap because it finally wore out. It is the worst can opener we have ever had. We replaced it with a manual can opener. The manual can opener is easier to use and less messy. Avoid this unit at all costs.
👤There were no replacements for the old spacemaker can opener at the Black & Decker store. They have come up with a replacement that is slightly different. The motor is now rectangular. The mounting screws at the back have to be changed. It has four screws to mount and four long screws to attach to the cabinet's underside. Before you mount the unit, you need to know what you are doing. The can opening is the same no matter the size.
👤When we renovated our kitchen, we needed a new B&D Spacemaker can opener. It was a disaster from the beginning. It was almost impossible to mount it, but we did it. It did not open cans without a struggle. The wheel on the blade broke when I tried to open a small can. The wheel was made of metal. No parts are to be found that I have found. The old Spacemaker was made in the USA and still works. The piece of junk came from China. I still have my old one. I'm thinking about putting it back up. I wouldn't have a Chinese-made model for love or money.
👤This was a replacement for a model that was purchased 15 years ago. The old one was even smaller. I'm very happy with it. We don't have enough counter space for a free-standing one so I couldn't live without it. The overhead cabinet needed to have new holes drilled. Make sure that there is enough vertical space above the blade assembly to allow you to remove it if you need to. The provided spacers may not be enough. I had to make four circles from one of the old spacers.
👤The can opener works well. We have always had under-cabinet units because I like to keep the countertops clean. It's easy to clean if you just pop out the cutter once in a while and put it in the dishwasher. The bottle opener is nice because you can open a beer with one hand. It's much easier to put down the bag of chips than it is to get the church key. If it's a screw off, you don't have to have an opener, but you still have to use two hands, so it's better for a screw off. If you want an under-cab unit, this is the one for you.
Your hands should be treated like royalty. No effort. There was no injury. Save your energy. Save time. Yes, you can. The STAINLESS STEEL blade is made of steel. The KitchenAid can opener is made from strong 420 J2 steel that is designed to easily puncture and open cans and bottles. The beer opener is integrated. A bottle opener is built into the can opener. It's easy to turn knob. The can opener's knob makes opening cans easy. There are ethnographic hands for fortifications. The can opener is made of durable materials and has handles that are comfortable to hold. Hand wash only with warm water and detergent. Immediately rinse and dry. LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY: This can opener has a lifetime limited warranty.
👤It took two months to find the courage to write a review. I used this thing once. I only used one and it was too much from my weak hand. It broke. Metal on plastic construction is not a good idea. It sat on my counter top for a month and it was awful. I was able to open other cans with a hammer. My cat has been missing for a month, it may be due to the sadness she felt when she thought about the environmental impact of products that should only be purchased once in a lifetime. The Russians think Americans are inferior. I only planned on buying from you once, but now I can't recommend you to a family with cats because you have lost a customer for life.
👤The can opener is terrible. I would have thought that KitchenAid would not put their name on something that was so bad. The can opener rusted after being used. I washed it and put it on a drying rack. It was difficult to open it because it was hard to get it to open the can. It stopped working after 3 weeks of light use. I don't know how a can opener can stop working in that amount of time. The can opener is garbage. Please don't buy this.
👤After 10th use, the knob sheared off. Poor quality. It was very disappointing. I used a set of vice grips to open cans. I ordered the Amazon Basics brand, and it can't get here fast enough. My wife is having a fit because this KitchenAid one is junk and because we have to use Vice grips on a can opener until the new one gets here, her parents are visiting and it looks bad and her dad is complaining relentlessly about this stupid can opener. Merry Christmas...
👤When we needed a new can opener, I didn't look beyond Kitchen Aid because I have had good experiences with them. The version is more streamlined and compact than before, but it doesn't sacrifice function for style. The can opener was not usable by April. It became impossible to open a can when the wedge collapsed. We didn't have the opener for a long time and don't use a lot of canned items, so it's crazy that it didn't get damaged. This one will break your heart.
👤Manual can openers take up less space and have less appliance. This one doesn't cut it, so to speak. It doesn't cut all the way around the lid of the can. You are forced to pry open the can with something and risk cutting your hand if you don't. I wouldn't buy a can opener if I wanted to open the can. It should open the can if you call it a can opener. I will have to buy another one. This was a waste of money.
👤Terrible product. Not even four months old. It is already broken. Please send me a new kitchen aid.
👤Don't spend your money on a can opener. The can opener I purchased broke after 4 months. This one was better built. It broke in less than a week. Take a $20 bill out of your pocket and throw it in the trash.
1 year manufacturer warranty There are mounts under the cabinet. The face closes to save space. The blade assembly can be used for dishwasher-safe cleaning. 7-1/4 inches wide by 5 inches high and 6 inches deep.
👤Doesn't work at all. The drive wheel won't turn with a can on it. When empty, it's hardly turns. I have 4 holes in a shelf because I never thought to try this before mounting it. This is a total ripoff. Don't buy.
👤The product was used. I opened the box and realized it. That's my fault. Paying 4 times the value is my fault. I should have done more research. Lessons learned on the positive side. Everything ended well.
👤I should not have been charged a re-stocking fee. I didn't return the item because I changed my mind about it. I have an older unit that I have used for years and it just wore out and the new one was not up to par.
👤This can opener was not able to open it. We didn't discover that until after 30 days, so Amazon wouldn't accept a return The seller said to contact Black and Decker, but they said they couldn't help because they no longer make the model. We are out over $250.00 even though we sent in a warranty.
👤Working stopped. It no longer stays folded up. My wife can't get it to work. My wife likes these but I have never liked them. The manual one works just as well as the old one.
👤When not using it, I liked having it shut down. It saved counter space.
👤I like to use the convenience up off the counter. This is my third one. I have two houses, one where I live now and the other one that is being built for me.
👤I love the product but can't understand why the price is so high. This is a must for me because I can't use ordinary openers because of my health issues.
Click "contact seller" if you want to get rid of the hassle of money back. Cans can be open up to 6 inches. tall The lever is twist-off for easy cleaning. A manual knife sharpener is built in.
👤Would not open it. The rotating gear is small. I've ever bought a bad can opener. I still use the old proctor. The new product is not as good.
👤An elderly lady couldn't use a hand cranking opener. She still likes opening cans.
👤Have you ever been happy when your can opener broke? The mine broke yesterday. I was happy. Why? Because I could, with clear conscience, buy another can opener. The can opener I had been trying to use for about two years -- the Proctor-Silex Model No. 75224 -- has never been easy to hold. If it allows the can to fit between the holding screw and the blade, then one must re-position the can to open it. The model I am reviewing is the 75224 R. I hope the "R" stands for "re-designed", "re-made" or "reformed". My can opener was the Proctor Silex 75224. I do have some differences. I never wanted to use the can opener for anything else, because using the can- openingproperties was so exhausting and frustrating that I never wanted to use it again. The newer model, the 75224R, does not have a knife-sharpener. Interesting... The older model did not have cord storage. There are at least two differences between the older and newer models. Does the newer model CUT work better than the older one? Twice shy, once bitten. I don't know if I have bought the newer model. The other changes show that there are design differences in the newer model. The cutting capabilities of any can-opener should be upgraded as well. Should the sins of the fathers be blamed on their children? The older model was so difficult to use that should one be wary of buying a newer model? It depends on your bank account and your trust in the company. If the cutting abilities haven't been changed, I want the P-S company to make some noise about it. If these cutting abilities have already been changed, please, Proctor-Silex, encourage people to buy the 75224R. If you are brave, adventurous, and have an extra $20 or so, I would recommend buying this can-opener. At those times, you really don't want to give a gift, but you must. I decided to replace my 75224 with a "One Touch Can opener". Yes, it works on batteries. I tried it at a friend's house and it worked very well.
