The package weight was 5.695 lbs. The lawn edger is called the type 5. The lawn edger is called the type 5.

Brand: Black & Decker

👤Not Black and Decker. Attached is a picture. The details say the manufacturer is Black & Decker. It is not. The B&D logo has a hyperlink. This is not the way to do business. For 10 cents more, stick with the real McCoy.

👤The blades are lighter in color than the Black n Decker packaging would suggest. They are sent from China. I was wrong to think that they wouldn't work as well as the Black n Decker ones. These are actually working better.

👤The edger is compatible with the WORX. These are replacements for Worx edgers. It was as expected and a good price.

👤This was a great replacement for my blade. I've tried using cheaper ones. The cheaper ones seem to last longer. These may be made of harder metal.

👤Oregon says that it's not Black and Decker.

👤I edge my lawn every 2 weeks during the growing season. It gets very difficult if I delay much longer than that. The price for 2-blades is more expensive than the local stores. 5-stars.

👤See the picture. I would have looked at other reviews. There are no real Black & Decker blades. These are not the ones I've bought before. These are not normal Knockoffs.

👤It is almost the same shape as the original, but it is not as good. Back it up.

👤What do you think about a piece of metal?

Brand: Dewalt

👤I am a fan of the Dewalt power tool. I already owned a hedge trimmer, blower, weed eater, chain saw, and edger. Knowing the cost of the batteries I like to buy new batteries as they bring the price down greatly for battery replacement. I put the new battery on the charge after the Edger came in because I had so many batteries. I took another of my batteries and tested the edger. I have a big gas one but wanted a quicker and more reliable electric. Edger did a great job. I hung it up with my other tools. The battery didn't charge and the Hot/Cold delay light was on, but I didn't see the first light until the next morning. I tried the battery on another device and it didn't work. The battery wouldn't do anything when I plugged it into a tool. I was told that I needed to contact the seller for issues for the first thirty days. One call confirmed the responsibility and the other took my information. I knew Dewalt would replace it since they are datecoded. They know if it's new or not. A new battery arrived today. Great products and a great seller.

👤The feedback I got was that I didn't know this had a 60 battery. I think that is why it was so much more. You can only look for the tool if you have a 60 battery. The handle was not tight no matter how many times I tried. I used a handle from another weed eater. The battery seems to drain quickly. You just need to pry it out of the mud. It is awesome. I have about 40 Dewalt tools and they have all been great.

👤The Trigger stopped working after one week. I have a $300 tire block.

👤It was easy to use. I have never used another edger so I have nothing to compare it to. It was easy for me to get it.

👤It is an edger that uses batteries. 60v 9 ah batteries have a great battery life.

👤Dewalt Edger. Will use for the first time this weekend. The experience with Dewalt products has always been good.

👤The electric edger has a lot of power and battery life.

👤It was used for my drive way and two brick walkways. The results were easy to use.

4. WORX WG896 Electric Trencher Orange

WORX WG896 Electric Trencher Orange

Included: The thatch collection bag is easy to dispose of. Like the Pros. The 12 Amp motor spins the 7.5” blade fast and deep at 4700 revolutions per minute, giving you professional looking lines and edges. Depending on the task at hand, cut down at 1” 1-1/4” or more. You will notice a difference when you use the cutting line guide. Users of any height can find a long and comfortable position with the help of the adjustment shaft and D-grip handle. Do it yourself. Do it better. Do it with Wrox. You can build a cost-effective tool collection that is designed to last with the WORX tools.

Brand: Worx

👤The edger is powerful, but it is difficult to plow through matted turf. In my case the grass had grown too tall. It had been a couple of years since it had been trimmed so there were at least three inches of grass that had to be cut back. The soil is always moist because my lawn is always fertilized. It was necessary to stop every 20' or so to dig out the dirt and grass that had accumulated in the shroud. It should be designed to handle the earth with its moist nature, even though they warn against it in "wet" grass. The back edge of the shroud caught on the thick grass as it moved forward, and the wheels wouldn't ride up over the clumps without a push. I had to keep rocking the unit back and forth to get it to progress. This might be corrected with larger rear wheels. The edger performs well with enough patience. I haven't had the problem of the blade coming loose yet, as many others have complained about. Time will tell about this. The machine has cleaned up one side of my walkway and you can see it in the attached photo. Once the sods are cut free, you have to use other tools to remove them. The walk took me about 45 minutes. I used the edger for the first time. I think the other side will take me less time tomorrow since I have the hang of using the machine. The edger will work more efficiently once it has an edge and all that is needed is to maintain it in the future. The other side of the walk went quicker after the job was finished. I did another pass on both sides of the walk with the edger after the opposite edge was cut back. I wanted the edges to be straight and clean. The final edging gave me the look I wanted. Having walked both sides of the 80's, I have done it again. The question of the blade being loosened is something I can comment on. No problem at all. I used a large crescent wrench and a 15mm sockets to tighten the nut for the test. I did the first check after the first pass. I was able to tighten the nut. It was tight, and must have come from the factory. I checked it again after the job was done. I couldn't tighten it anymore. There was no loosened at all. I can only conclude that others who have had the loosened blade didn't confirm the tightness of the blade, or they were cutting through tough ground. The edger does a good job despite the unit struggling to make the initial cuts through the thick grass. If you keep up with your edging and don't let the grass grow over your pavement, you will have to cut a lot of it back. The machine will do well if I do the job every year. If you let it go for two or three years like I did, you can plan to do a lot of work to bring things back to where you want them to be. With patience, the Worx WG896 will make the job a lot easier.

Brand: Handytek

👤I like my edger. I ordered this one when the blade was worn out. I thought I had ordered the wrong size because it was bigger than the one that came on it. It was very easy to put on. It did a great job. I will purchase again.

👤Time will tell how good the steel is, they are doing a good job of edging.

👤A good seller, fast and efficient.

👤It is easy to install and works well.

👤I edge every week because it wears down so fast.

Brand: Craftsman

👤The first is underpowered, the second is cheap plastic and the last is not put together correctly. This basura was returned by me. I bought the kobalt 80v at the blue store. What a difference.

👤The edger was delivered on the guaranteed date. It was very easy to assemble and took about 5 minutes. The knob was tightened and the two parts of the handle were connected. The edger works exactly as it's supposed to, and adjustments were easy to make. The 12 Amp motor is more powerful than other edgers that I looked at. I am very happy with my purchase. The power tool industry has a respected name like Craftsman.

👤The power blade stops frequently.

👤It didn't have a lot of power. I was trying to edge it as it jumped around.

👤The blade won't cut grass. The package was badly beaten up.

👤It was perfect for a yard that hadn't been touched in a long time. Nice and clean now.

👤I switched to this brand after returning a competing brand. Night and day!

8. Replacement SB600E SB601E Electric Trimmer

Replacement SB600E SB601E Electric Trimmer

The models are blade compatible. Martha Stewart has a stringless grass trimmer. Operator safety is maximized by the flexibility of changing blades. Slow grinding formula provides trouble-free, reliable cutting. It is easy to install and use. Hard metals and rocks can cause damage to the blade.

Brand: Marketty

👤Sun Joe needs to work on the quality, design andDurability of these blades. I bought the 3 pack because it is more cost effective than buying individual blades since I have to change them every week.

👤This product shows me how much it costs to replace arizors at a crazy high price. I think I bought a trimmer for 69.95 and have replaced it three times for 10 dollars per blade. I ended up paying 20 dollars more. The machine costs me. I could have gotten a lifetime worth of cutting line for less than I have paid. It would be nice. If these people made an orderly cutting head for this machine? If you store cutting material in water it will be stronger and last longer. I will. Be trying that again!

👤I gave this product a rating. I have purchased these blades in the past and they have been very durable with one blade lasting almost all summer. The blades have been very brittle and have only lasted a short time. The production or manufacturing date would be helpful as I think the longer the blades sit on a shelf, the more brittle they become. I haven't tried this one yet, so we'll see how it goes.

👤If they hit a loose rock less than 3 inches in size, they will break. They are soft and rubbery and don't cut well.

👤It worked for an hour but then it started to bend and curl at the ends and it was not fit on the device. The item was a good price and fast shipping, those are the highlights. These are plastic and not metal, so they don't last long. No heavy duty cutting is allowed with this item.

👤It is very easy to attach. It's hard to break and it's durable.

9. Greenworks Amp Corded Edger 27032

Greenworks Amp Corded Edger 27032

Automatic oiler applies oil to bar and chain when needed to ensure longevity and optimal use with a translucent oil tank for clear view of oil level. The motor has powerful edging capabilities. The double edge blade has robust edging capabilities and longer wear. Variable blade depth is provided by the spring assist front wheel. The auxiliary handle has been adjusted for added user comfort and control. Accidental disconnection is prevented by the integrated cord lock feature.

Brand: Greenworks

👤I have only used this edger a few times before the winter. I got it out of storage and started edging the sidewalk. The cutting blade suddenly came off and flew through the air, missing my head by a few inches. It could have killed me or blinded me. I first thought that the bolt that holds the blade onto the motor drive shaft had come loose and that the blade would come off, but after examining the shaft, I realized that it had snapped off at the threaded end where the bolt goes on tofasten the blade. Leaving only two threads around the shaft is not enough to tighten the bolt back onto it. See the picture. There is no way to re-attach the blade. The whole motor would have to be replaced. I don't think I bought an extended warranty. I will have to buy another edger. It won't be another Greenworks.

👤This isn't a powerful tool. If your grass is very overgrown or you want to only edge 2x a year it will be a decent amount of work, which can be nerve-racking when the blade finally cuts through the bunched up sod. You'll have to go at it twice at a higher level, because there are better products out there. My review doesn't reflect this, but mine broke the first time I used it, so it's not the same. The front wheel broke.

👤After 10 years, my B&D edger called it quits. I love the battery operated hedge trimmer from GreenWorks. The product did not meet my expectations. There is no metal shield between the blade and the sidewalk. The blade hit the concrete. The handle vibrates harshly up when it does, and it affects your hands even with gloves. I would expect the blade to last a long time. I went back to my old edger.

👤The edge has done an ok job for us. The blade stopped spinning on Saturday. The motor seems to have stopped. I have been on hold for 20 minutes or more 3 times and tried to wall GreenWorks. What a lie.

👤I just got mine and am done with about 120' of sidewalk and driveway. It took an hour tops. I like it. It lasted me 10 years, better than my edgehog. I will be happy if this lasts 10 years. I do my edge in the spring and fall. Cut about 2' deep. Good deal!

👤I had trouble getting this on Amazon. I got it locally. After 1.5 years. Customer service is not good and the motor has stopped. After my lawn mower and trimmer are dead, I refuse to buy another greenworks product. The blade flew off at least 15 times. Make sure you wear safety gear. You might be chewing it up faster than you think because there is no guide on the blade. It was only a 12 Amp motor, which was the only pro. Black and decker beats this by a wide margin.

👤This thing is the superior choice compared to other products in the same price point, I've owned both now. The B&D had a guard for edging which helped keep you tight to the concrete, but it also made it harder to edge, especially if you neglected that for a while. If I treat it like a lawnmower blade for maintenance at the start of the season, it's easy to de-burr, I can keep going for quite a while. It doesn't take me long to touch up when I'm doing other blades, so I could probably cut that down to just the start of the season. It edges like a dream, has more power than the B&D, and while that's a small difference, I noticed a whole different ease of experience doing the edging.

10. Rotary 6762 Edger Blade Unsharpened

Rotary 6762 Edger Blade Unsharpened

It is easy to install and use. Hard metals and rocks can cause damage to the blade. Paramount: 534205300. Length 7; width 1; mounting hole diameter 1; thickness.095"

Brand: Rotary

👤I have an old Craftsman 85795 electric edger that Sears used to sell a pack of replacement 7.5" blades for. I just used up my last one, and I found that neither Sears stores nor Sears parts stock the 7.5" blades anymore. The Sears parts store only has a 7" blade that might work, but it will reduce edging depth. Sears sells a replacement blade that is more expensive. The blade is the same size as my edger. The lock washer assembly of the original is not included, so you have to reuse the blade from the old one, which is bent up and rusty. Prime shipping is a bonus.

👤I picked up a used Craftsman edger from the Habit for Humanity Re-Store that was in need of a replacement blade. Being an older model, finding a blade locally wasn't much of an option. The blade works well and was a reasonable price. The property I recently closed on had been neglected for a long time, so my blade is wearing down relatively quickly, but I would imagine that once things are cleaned up it shouldn't be as much of a problem to maintain, and as such shouldn't wear the blade as quickly once

👤I ordered a blade for a craftsman edger. I was confident that the blade would fit after reading the description. The blade fit perfectly and the service was fast. It is not so long that it doesn't fit the tool, but it is longer than the original blade. I am happy with my improved edger, it never worked as well as it does now.

👤I was happy to find a replacement blade. My son went to work on our yard after he installed it. The yard looks better now that it worked.

👤I measured the distance between the two holes to make sure the blade was the right size for me. I got a blade with one hole.

👤It is a good replacement part. It is likely that it will last a little longer.

👤The 980 paramount edger was fit by this blade.

👤My husband was happy to find these. He thought he would have to be a new edger.

11. BLACK DECKER EB 007 Heavy Duty Replacement

BLACK DECKER EB 007 Heavy Duty Replacement

The included components include a lawn trimmer. There are other accessories such as a round blade, straight metal blade, nylon blade, and an Allen wrench. The 2-in-1 Landscape Trencher has a replacement edger blade. The blade is sharper for professional use. It was made from hardened steel for cleaner cuts. The blade has a wear indicator. It's compatible with: LE750, LE710, LE760.

Brand: Black+decker

👤Don't waste your time trying to get every last use out of your old blade, you're just kidding yourself. How do I know? It's what I did. It took me almost two hours to do the edging on the large area with the old blade on my B+D edger. The job was done in less than 30 minutes, including the blade swap-out. Don't be cheap! Don't be tight! Get this blade and work smarter.

👤I had no idea what a new blade would do. The old blade is on top of the new one. My edger works the way it should.

👤My old blade was a rectangular piece of carbon steel with a mounting hole of about 1/2 inch. The blade improves the design. This is hardened steel and should last a long time. The leading corner is pre-radiused and serrated. I did sharpen the flats next to the edges for a better cut. The price is great.

👤The Edger Replacement blade was a perfect fit. It's easy to install a new blade. Some reviewers say the blade wears quickly. That depends on how you use the edger. The most common use is to make a clean edge where grass meets curb or sidewalk. It does wear quicker if the blade is allowed to constantly scratch on the concrete. You can develop the skill to minimize the scraper with some practice. I edge the 160 feet of curb and sidewalk every 2 to 3 weeks. The blade has been in use for about 4 years. That seems reasonable to me. The replacement blade should last the same as the original.

👤I can get back to edging now that I have swapped blades.

👤Is it heavy duty? The blades wear down fast. I put a new blade on in May and it needs to be replaced in August. After using sometimes every other week to edge in those 3 months, no longer cuts sharp and deep. The teeth are very soft. Don't think so, it's hardened steel. I needed to make several passes to get it to cut before I replaced the blade. It doesn't last a season. If you need it, buy more than one.

👤The package has a blade and you need to mount it on the B&D Edge Hog. The blades fit perfectly into my edger and are strong. The blade has a "This side out" written on it so you are sure to put it in the right way. It's very easy to remove the old blade and put it on with a screw driver to hold it in place.

👤For those who like to do things themselves, like me, and for those who like to skip edging. The local box stores are all sold out so enter this replacement blade. I'm glad I found it here. The lawn border was cut through and trenched. My neighbors are happy that I am not driving down their property values. I'm happy!

👤I put this replacement blade on my old Black and Decker Edge hog (1995) and it's amazing. It's like cutting butter with a knife. Fantastic! If you edge close to a 90 degree corner and nick cement it will spit sparks and dull the blade so go easy on corners.
