2 in 1 weed eater and lawn edger. The electric weed eater can be set to 4 different working positions and transformed into a weed edger on wheels, which will help you enter the hard-to-reach corners without a cord. The Weed Trimmer has a 10-inch cutting width. The weed wacker is lightweight and well balanced. Walk behind the wheeled weed eater and push it to get straighter lines and cleaner cuts. The string trimmer/edger is designed with a telescopic shaft, which will allow you to change the length as you please, which will release the sore back. The same battery can be shared. The electric grass trimmer is powered by a Li-Ion battery that can deliver steady currents for up to 90 minutes. The battery can be applied to all the 20V lawn tools in MZK. The battery powered weed trimmer has two safety locks to make it safer to use. The flower protection frame is for protecting innocent plants and the head cover is for reducing splashing debris. Time to TRIM says that a user-friendly electric weed eater will make gardening so much easier for anyone. The specification inside of the trimmer is a mistake. There is not a roller.
👤It's what I wanted. It was easy to use. It's light and does a good job. It does not sling dirt and grass all over me. The batteries charge up quickly. I thought I'd be less pleased with it.
👤The installation is easy and beautiful. It is the right size for easy storage.
👤The weed eater helps me clean the yard. The design of the wireless device is very nice for me.
👤The weight is light and it is easy to set up. It's a good idea to use in the front yard.
👤I received my weedeater today, but it had no wheels or blades.
👤It's cheap. One string weed eater is not worth the price.
Included: The thatch collection bag is easy to dispose of. Like the Pros. The 12 Amp motor spins the 7.5” blade fast and deep at 4700 revolutions per minute, giving you professional looking lines and edges. Depending on the task at hand, cut down at 1” 1-1/4” or more. You will notice a difference when you use the cutting line guide. Users of any height can find a long and comfortable position with the help of the adjustment shaft and D-grip handle. Do it yourself. Do it better. Do it with Wrox. You can build a cost-effective tool collection that is designed to last with the WORX tools.
👤The edger is powerful, but it is difficult to plow through matted turf. In my case the grass had grown too tall. It had been a couple of years since it had been trimmed so there were at least three inches of grass that had to be cut back. The soil is always moist because my lawn is always fertilized. It was necessary to stop every 20' or so to dig out the dirt and grass that had accumulated in the shroud. It should be designed to handle the earth with its moist nature, even though they warn against it in "wet" grass. The back edge of the shroud caught on the thick grass as it moved forward, and the wheels wouldn't ride up over the clumps without a push. I had to keep rocking the unit back and forth to get it to progress. This might be corrected with larger rear wheels. The edger performs well with enough patience. I haven't had the problem of the blade coming loose yet, as many others have complained about. Time will tell about this. The machine has cleaned up one side of my walkway and you can see it in the attached photo. Once the sods are cut free, you have to use other tools to remove them. The walk took me about 45 minutes. I used the edger for the first time. I think the other side will take me less time tomorrow since I have the hang of using the machine. The edger will work more efficiently once it has an edge and all that is needed is to maintain it in the future. The other side of the walk went quicker after the job was finished. I did another pass on both sides of the walk with the edger after the opposite edge was cut back. I wanted the edges to be straight and clean. The final edging gave me the look I wanted. Having walked both sides of the 80's, I have done it again. The question of the blade being loosened is something I can comment on. No problem at all. I used a large crescent wrench and a 15mm sockets to tighten the nut for the test. I did the first check after the first pass. I was able to tighten the nut. It was tight, and must have come from the factory. I checked it again after the job was done. I couldn't tighten it anymore. There was no loosened at all. I can only conclude that others who have had the loosened blade didn't confirm the tightness of the blade, or they were cutting through tough ground. The edger does a good job despite the unit struggling to make the initial cuts through the thick grass. If you keep up with your edging and don't let the grass grow over your pavement, you will have to cut a lot of it back. The machine will do well if I do the job every year. If you let it go for two or three years like I did, you can plan to do a lot of work to bring things back to where you want them to be. With patience, the Worx WG896 will make the job a lot easier.
The maximum initial battery voltage is 20. TheNominal voltage is 18V. The 40V max battery has a state of charge indicator. You can cut power at the string with a power drive high-torque transmission. TheNominal voltage is 36. Automatic feed Spool - afs which automatically feeds trimmer line. It takes seconds to convert from trimmer to edger.
👤If you only want a simple plastic string based trimmer with an on/off switch, then this is an adequate horizontal grass cutter with a strong battery for a power source. I don't think it's an edger with that flip back wire gadget. This is not the highest power or the best value trimmer. This is a step back and de-evolution. Don't get me wrong. I own most of the power tools and battery powered lawn tools from Black & Decker. It is the only brand I buy. I started with Black & Decker's 18 and 36 Volt lineup and then realized they were standardizing on the 20 Volt tool line. I sold my 18 Volts tools and bought their 20 Volts tools. I still own a vacuum tool. I have a Black & Decker 60 Volt lawn mower and it makes sense to go to a higher voltage and amperage for more power. It has a half-inch larger cutting radius. The cons are: The dual power switch is gone. There is a The automatic string feed button is no longer in use. There is a The wheel that supports edging is gone. There is a It costs $27 more than the well featured version. There is a The battery power is the same. There is a The 40 Volt battery is not compatible with the fast charging system. There is a After cooling down, the battery charging time is about 4 hours. The battery voltage is double that of the 20 Volt battery. It is marketing. That is true, but only half of the equation of power. The power is determined by the current. The battery that came with the trimmer has a 1.5 Ampere Hour rating. I bought a 20 Volt trimmer a few days ago and it had a 3.0 Amp Hour rating. 60 Watts of power can be produced for one hour. I bought a trimmer in April of last year that had the same features as the new model, except for the automatic string feed button, and I have a 4.0 Amp hour battery. That is 80 Watts. It runs on a 1.5 Amp Hour battery. I own over ten fully charged batteries. I own all three of these string trimmers. I know the pros and cons of each. I bought a new Black & Decker after I realized that the main features were missing. There is a string trimmer with a 3.0 Amp hour battery on Amazon. It arrived yesterday and I had to trim and edge my yard. Saturday is lawn mowing day. The main disadvantage? The wheel makes edging around the driveway and street curb much easier. That wire is not a substitute for a wheel. Black & Decker is trying to get rid of the wheel. The full weight of the trimmer is needed to do edging. I have a steep driveway and a wide street. I have 10 screws bolted to a metal plate into 5 of the 8 vertebras in my neck. It makes the pain worse. The edger almost becomes self propelled if you hold the battery end of the edger in your right hand and walk forward. The plastic string hitting against the ground helps pull the edger forward. The wheel makes it move more noticeably in your favor. It helps pull the edger forward.
It's ideal for clean up tasks. A fully charged battery can hold up to 30 minutes of running time. The 13 inch cutting path has a single line auto feed head. It's ideal for yards up to 1/3 Acre. The battery charges in 60 minutes. Four-position head for easy trimming and edging. The edging wheel is easy to use. The operator's manual includes a 12 inch string trimmer, an auxiliary handle, guard, edge guide, and a Spool cover.
👤After reading some of the one star comments, I was a little suspicious of this tool. The tool took less than 10 minutes to operate after it was received. One review said it was hard to change the black handle to different positions. The 2 pivot points on the tool give you a wide array of positions. The auto feeder works by pausing operation for a few seconds and then spitting out the string as it slows down. Some people shouldn't operate power tools if they don't know how to use them. The comments were negative. I was able to trim and switch over to my blower without a charge in between, because I have an average size yard. Great tool. There are 2 more comments about the negative reviews. The tool has a lot of weight at the bottom, which makes it hard to operate. That is true until you put the battery in. It becomes a balance tool. The handle is flimsy. I think it would be if you didn't put it in place. The best weed trimmer is $50.00. Have a great day.
👤I replaced the trimmer line that came with the unit. I'm using RINO-TUFF. I picked up a universal trimmer line. The problem with the supplied line is that it was fused together in multiple places on the spool, which is a manufacturing defect. There are a lot of places where it can't feed off the spool. If you rewind the entire line and then unwound it, the places where the line was fused to an adjacent winding are weakened so they break too easily. I used the RINO-TUFF line that I already had for use on my previous trimmer, which died after decades of use, instead of the line that came with it. The trimmer works perfectly now. It doesn't really "automatically feed" the line, but it will advance it about 1/2 inch each time you start the unit. I don't agree with the reviews that it is not well balanced, as you can easily adjust the handle to change the balance, but I found it to be well balanced in the middle of the range. I advise GreenWorks to look at the spools getting shipped as this is likely the cause of many of the complaints I've seen. If I hadn't used the RINO-TUFF line, I would have returned the whole unit.
👤I ordered the extendable hedge trimmer and the 40V blower. I like all 3 products. I read reviews before I go and saw that people were complaining about the auto feeder. When I took it out for a test spin, I was worried about the weeds. The string kept going down to nothing after the auto feeder wasn't working. After a couple of frustrating minutes trying to figure out why it wouldn't feed, I came inside and did a quick search of other reviews online and found one that said the auto feed doesn't work when you have thetrigger pulled at full blast. I tried it again and it worked well. You can feather out in a few seconds. If you want to be fine, just ease up on the power and you'll be fine.
There is a Grass Trimmer with 20V. Two 20V 2Ah blowers. There are batteries, a dual charge and three 10 Spools. 20V 2.0Ah is included. Li-ion batteries have a longer run time. There is a 12" 20V Li-ion Cordless Grass Trimmer/Edger. It is easy to convert a trimmer to an edger or mini-mower. The powerful blower is small and lightweight and can tackle any job. Share batteries save money.
👤I can't say enough good things about this product. My husband doesn't allow me to do yard work anymore. I decided to buy these because I couldn't handle his heavy weedeater or blower which were a lot of trouble. It was the best thing I have ever done. It's getting harder to find people to do yardwork without having to pay an arm and a leg. I can do it myself now. It is very light and easy to assemble. It was very convenient to have two batteries to interchange. At this time, I don't have any cons. I am very happy.
👤I was impressed with the tool combo. The initial set-up took about 5 minutes and only required a screwdriver. While remaining quiet and green, this tool knew how to deliver a powerful punch. The trimmer/edger was able to tackle weeds that were hard to reach. I was able to find a comfortable height and angle with the many variable positions. The wheels at the bottom of the trimmer make it easy to edge the garden. The blower was small and light. After I used the trimmer, it was easy to tidy up the leaves and grass. As blowers go, it was incredibly quiet. One battery lasted me long enough to trim the weeds, edge the garden, and blow the mess away. I finished the job before the battery ran out. This combo is highly recommended.
👤After I charged my trimmer for 24 hours, it only worked for 5 minutes. A friend of mine recommended me. I decided to give it a try. It was a good choice. I used it to take care of my lawn. I plan to buy more Worx products. Glad it worked out this time. It takes a long time to find the good one on Amazon.
👤Returned a backpack leaf blower. The quality of this brand is unparalleled. The power and battery life are perfect. My husband likes to spend a lot of time on yard projects, so we will be ordering extra batteries.
👤I ordered this because the ad sounded great. It was easy to assembly. The batteries were charged to a full charge. I thought I'd look at a corded one after my gas line trimmer quit. This pack came with a blower. I own a backpack blower. It can be difficult to get into tight spots up against a 180' fence with shrubs in front of it. The blower was light. The motor stopped after less than ten minutes. The battery had already been discharged. The blower has a "turbine" motor that is recommended by WORX for either the 4amp battery or the 6amp battery which is more than the entire combo pack with two batteries. I can't review the line trimmer because I never tried it.
👤My Dad loves the Lowes double package and we bought him for Father's Day. I bought this package from Amazon and they are not the same. These don't have the same power. I am aware that manufacturers have many levels. There's no way to tell from the descriptions. The trimmer is working. If the weeds are a week old, it takes several passes. The blower does not work. I barely blows leaves off my porch. It did not handle my actual yard. Can't recommend.
The battery and charger are not sold together. The edging wheel allows for edging and trimming. Electric start eliminates gas hassle, less maintenance and fumes. The path has a single line auto feed for easy line advance. The model 29252 and 29092 are compatible with the 40 inch compatible Greenworks replacement spool. There are compatible battery models 29842 and 29852. The drive shaft type isTelescoping.
👤I don't know how I didn't notice, but this doesn't auto-feed string well. Most trimmers have a simple option which this unit does not. I assumed all trimmers had auto feed. You have to start/stop the trimming many times to make the string feed. It's pretty annoying and doesn't seem to work. I already had 4A, 24V batteries. I was a little worried at first, but this unit does a great job. The battery lasts 45 minutes or so and I have plenty of time for my small yard. The edges and trims are perfect. This is a great option for smaller yards. I would have had to run through two or three full charges to complete the yardwork. It will take more time if you want to go this route. If you don't want to chop down your flowers or plants, the guard is useful. It is easy to flip to an edger once you are in that mode. Extra string and cover is nice. If you only have one battery, the batteries charge quickly.
👤I will return this thing first. My lawn mower is battery operated. I was looking forward to the features they boasted about. Nothing about the string assembly makes sense. I don't want to spend half my day clicking the power on and off to advance the string. It is a weak, thin string to begin with. It is pointless to trim and edge because it wears down so fast. I gave up halfway through my yard. My old 12V Black and Decker ran circles around this thing. Don't buy it!
👤I gave this string trimmer two stars because it is strong. The loose lower handle can't tighten further but constantly falls off, and it takes a lot of pressure to keep the handle depressed, so I knocked it off for three stars. I don't recommend this trimmer.
👤I bought this item for my husband to replace our gas weed eater/trimmer when we replaced our gas powered lawn mower after the repair would cost more than a new mower. The weed eater has not let us down. I am very happy with this purchase. The weed eater has a rechargeable battery that doesn't make it uncomfortable to hold, and it's a battery-operated weed eater. If you already have a weed eater, I wouldn't recommend it. I would have preferred to get the slightly larger one so that the battery was interchangeable with our lawn mower, but this one is a different battery and charger. GreenWorks offers several smaller items like the drill, and this battery fits them. We haven't had to replace the weed eater yet, but we've been using it weekly since mid April and haven't had to replace it yet. There is a guide for the string and a guard on the weed eater that you can use to edge without hitting flowers. The weed eater is light enough to be used for a short period of time, and the battery lasts for about 45 minutes. The low end is when we use it in larger patches of weeds. The weed eater we replaced was heavy and expensive. GreenWorks is a good quality built product, and it wasn't nearly as expensive as we thought. I'm a lifelong customer and I'm impressed.
The 3 in1 grass trimmer makes your garden look better. The soft handles of the lightweight design provide complete mobility and comfort. The lawnmower only supports the replacement blades in their pictures, the accessory blades and weed brushes from other suppliers cannot be installed. If the trimmer is left unattended in the garden, children are also protected, because to start you have to press the slide switch and then the push button on the handle. The telescopic handle can be adjusted in height between 90 and 120 cm. The grass trimmer is small enough to fit in a bag and large enough to work in the garden. The brush cutter can adapt to any body size. The brushcutter with 10 plastic blades is suitable for mowing young grass, the 2 steel blade is suitable for quickly mowing lawn, and the 3 round saw blade is made of steel. It is widely used for small gardens, villas, etc. Thanks to its easy handling, the trimmer is quickly at hand and saves you a lot of time. The best way to enjoy your time is with your family in your garden.
40V 2Ah Li-Ion battery and charger are included. Automatic Feed Spool technology of the edger/trimmer eliminates bumping for hassle-free line feeding that helps you work without interruption. The grass cutter's powerdrive transmission and 6.5 Amp motor give it maximum performance when trimming through the toughest weeds. The wheeled edge guide converts from lawn trimmer to wheeled edger. The lightweight design has height positions that provide maximum comfort and control. Accidental cord disconnection is prevented by the cord retention system. A 14-inch path is used to get the job done. Rpm is 8000rpm.
👤I ordered an electric trimmer and mower to use this summer. With my husband deployed to the middle east, I decided I needed something easy to use that was still functional. We've used Black + Decker's brand in the past with smaller power tools and felt they were a good investment. I'm happy to say I'm not disappointed after one use. They were easy to assemble and I trimmed our yard in a few minutes. My husband is going to have to fight me to use these tools when he gets back because handling things alone is less daunting.
👤The unit I bought was to replace a dead gas-powered trimmer. As long as one remembers a couple of admonitions, it runs very well. 1. It is not made for swamps and underbrush. It's for lawn and landscaping. The motor has a rating of about 1/2 horsepower. It's not designed for lumberjacks. 2. The head should not be put in the middle of the patch to be trimmed. Slowly move it into the area. Don't force it into the grass or weeds. Let it do what it does. Stressing it can lead to failure. Don't expect miracles. It's 50 bucks. Pricing the beasts used by the pros is a good idea.
👤I finally got tired of pulling on a gas one and didn't want to deal with maintaining batteries. I chose the largest Amps. The trade off is pulling an extension cord as I edge the yard. The roller is permanently fixed and I use it to guide me around my fruit trees. The no bumping auto feeders were easy to use. The initial 30' of cord lasted only an hour, because the unit uses 0.065” cord and a lot of it.
👤Even though the length of the shaft is adjusted, I still end up hunching over to use the trimmer. I'm tall. That is more of a defect than the trimmer. The autofeed works great, it eats most everything I throw at it. The motor is powerful, so make sure to wear eye protection when cutting up against a wall or rocks. Or other difficult things. When trimming against the house, I learned to bark through my nose.
👤Light weight and well balanced, great weed whacker. I got 2 years out of the last one. The longer guarantee was bought by me this time.
👤I've always had gas trimmers. Very impressed with it so far. I was surprised at how well it cuts. It's easy to use. After using for a long time, there was no shoulder or back pain. The wheel makes it easy to edge. Since it collapses down, it's easier to store.
👤The ease of assembly and use on this thing is amazing, but it broke after a day of use. You will wonder why it has been so hard to replace the trimmer spool. The problem is that the auto string dispensers rely on a flimsy little latch that will break as soon as dirt or debris gets in it. I wouldn't count on it if you were only doing the lightest work. The ground cover weeds that grow up between the pavers broke when I was trimming them. Nothing that should have killed it.
7600rpm no-load speed, 12” cutting diameter, 5.3 lbs. The cutting line length is 0.065” and the machine weight is 10. The Amp hour is 1.5 ampere hour. The power drive transmission has increased Torque. There are two speed control for more power. The line diameter is 0.065 inches. The easy feed allows you to advance your line with a push of a button. Part of the 20V Max system. For your style, power. The power command family of tools helps solve common user problems when using outdoor power equipment. The components include: LSTE520 20V max easy feed trimmer, LBXR20 20V max batteries, LCS1620 Charger, Guard, and Spool.
👤Solid 5-stars on this one. The weed whacker is the best I have ever owned. The battery/ies are required. It's got a lot of plastic pieces, but they aren't too flimsy or breakable. Life and battery power are excellent. I have a small yard with a fence around it and one battery that takes care of it all. If you choose that option, the second battery will be on the charge in case it runs out. The batteries do exactly what they sound like. At the expense of cutting power, power mode gives you more cutting power and battery life gives you longer cutting time. The majority of my weed whacking needs are taken care of using the battery life mode. If you need more oomph, you can easily switch between the two modes. The battery runs for about 30 minutes on the power saving mode. You can always upgrade to a higher capacity Black+Decker universal battery if you need more power or run time. There are pre-loaded heads that click into place for the string/cut wire. There are ways to string it yourself, from what I've read. I'm using the first pre-loaded cartridge that came with the product and I'll stick with the pre-wounds. You can get a three-pack of replacements on Amazon for $9. The product description doesn't say that the unit has an auto-feed feature, but the button on the handle does work, and the unit seems to be auto-feeding itself most of the time. I've never had to tell them to let out more line. It's been convenient and thus far hasn't been a problem. The unit can be extended to make it taller. You just twist the lock, shorten or lengthen as you need, and then twist it back into place. Very easy and quick. You need to hold the handle down with your thumb before you can fire the gun. It's easy to use and it's located very conveniently. There is a The handle is the only complaint I have with this unit. It works just fine, but it has "lock" points that sometimes come loose. Sometimes, if you've been using it for a while, it will vibrate out of the lock and slip to the next lock. It takes about 2 seconds to set it right again, so it's not a deal breaker.
👤I was pleasantly surprised by this weed whacker. Despite all the positive reviews, I just couldn't shake the idea that a battery-powered tool like this would run out of batteries quickly. Positive reviews are correct, I am very happy about it. This is very powerful and was able to deal with thick weeds, tall grass, and delicate grass. The edging went very quickly. We already own a gas-powered trimmer, but it took all my strength to hold it. I didn't have any muscles left to aim it. This is light and quiet. I'm happy that I can trim around the garden and walkways when I need to, instead of nagging my husband. I recommend the set with 2 batteries. They last about 15-20 minutes for me before it starts slowing down. Having 2 saves it from being frustrating. The manual explicitly states that you can leave the battery on the charger and not worry about it draining, and that you can charge it frequently. It's more convenient. Two thumbs up!
The full 2-year warranty was approved by the ETL. The 3.5 Amp motor is great for trimming grass. 12 in. The job is done fast with a cut path. Includes a 2 year warranty. It's ideal for edging and trimming grass in hard-to-reach areas. The edge head spins 180 degrees. A 3.5 Amp motor rotates at a speed of 10,000rpm. The weight is 4.0 pounds. The components included are: a trimmer/edger, a guard, and a feed Spool. While you're working, the cord retention system protects against accidental unplugging.
👤I bought this for my Light weight and it works great, I took it out of the box and plugged it in, I am a 63 year old woman.
👤I used the weed trimmer for the first time. This thing does a great job, I can't believe it! If you don't feel like bumping it on the sidewalk, you can just turn it over, press the middle part, and pull gently. The line does not seem to break off every two seconds, so I have better luck with this type of weed trimmer. I know that sometimes the dual line head sounds better, but I had better luck with this single line trimmer yesterday than I have had with a dual line, and this reminds me of when the weedeaters first came out. They were similar to this one. I had the best luck with them and the new trimmer. Even if I don't push on thetrigger, the automatic feed trimmers keep the line moving. I spend more time with an automatic feed trimmer than I did with the bump feed. Sometimes I can't do the job with the automatic feed, and I wasted more line with the automatic feed trimmer. The trimmer is so light that I can do this job without hurting my back. I am too small to handle a gas powered trimmer and the dual line automatic feed electric trimmers are too heavy. It feels like this particular trimmer was made for me, and I am very happy that I found it. I hurt my back a year ago, had surgery, and a lot of physical therapy, and am just now getting to where I can do things like light trimming. This trimmer gets an A+ from me.
👤This is the first weed trimmer I have ever used, so I have nothing to compare it to. I bought the trimmer to take down the weeds in the overgrown yard and then for regular edge trimming after that. I am 61 years old and have not much upper body strength. The pros are 1. I can use it for almost an hour before I give up. 2. I didn't want to depend on "rechargeable" batteries or the starter on a gas machine, and this just needs an extension cord and it starts. 3. The grass and weeds are cut. The cons are 1. It's short, I have to bend forward slightly for the entire time, but after 30 - 40 minutes it causes back pain, which isn't a problem for a few minutes. Is this model cheap because it is short or is it because it is? I'm not that tall, so I can't be the only one with this problem. 2. Some of the time, the bump mechanism works. I have to feed the line through and put it back together after cutting off the line for 20 minutes. 3. The cap is difficult to remove. "Press tabs to remove" can only be done with strength and dexterity. I chose this model as my first trimmer/edger because it's lightweight and good for learning how to use it. In the future, I will look for one with a longer handle and a line cap that is easier to remove.
Before ordering, please make sure the part number matches your equipment. Let them know if you have a problem. They will reply to your message within 24 hours. The edger trimmer has a 12-amp high Torque motor. The edge trimmer has a pull-up edge guide. You can control the cut with the three-position blade depth adjustment. Extension cord is secured with built-in cord retention. Assembly is quick and easy. Clean access is possible through the door on guard. The assist handle can be left or right handed.
👤I love this edger. I like the look of trimmed edges, but gas powered edgers intimidate me. My husband would use a gas powered edger in a blue moon, but he would never admit it. I think those machines intimidate him as well. I wouldn't have had such overgrown edges if I didn't need this edge hog. I used this machine and it was easy to assemble and maneuver. This item was well packaged and shipped quickly. I had to go over the overgrown lawn edges at least twice to get a nice clean lawn. They were in a bad shape. Look at pictures. I had about 14 buckets of grass and hedge to get rid of once I was done. I know that the edger won't be as big of a job as the first one was. I've never done lawn work in my life, but I think it turned out great. The machine is easy to use. My husband was very impressed when he saw my lawn. I am happy when I see my lawn edges. The look of upkeep has changed because of it. Even though we kept the lawn mowed, the overgrown lawn edges distracted me from seeing the lawn in a good light. I had the sweetest helpers who helped us clean up. I love this hog! This product was made for me. The edger has the same look as the more intimidating machines. The edge hog does a great job. I have spent a lot of money over the years.
👤Over the past 20 years, I have had 3 edgers. They are good at edging and trenching. The motor lasts around 6-7 years for me. This purchase is a newer model with bad ergonomics. The prior design used a bolt on a large helper handle that sat high on thetrigger handle so you could control the unit from your left hand. The handle is now one piece molded with a small knob, which is 20% smaller than the old handle, to hold with your left hand. You can't get good leverage and you have to bend over. When a product is improved to a 3-star product, it's disappointing.
👤It is very easy to assemble and requires no tools. The bad boy with no issues at all was the one who I had to remove a lot of roots and dirt from the new lawn. I needed to make a shallow cut in a few places because my driveway had a bit of form leak. The edger is very maneuverable on straight lines but struggles on tight curves due to the blade hitting the concrete. I agree with other reviewers that the handles height should be adjusted as it is low and requires you to lean over a bit to wield it comfortably. There are pros. No Gas No String Cuts are cheap on Amazon. Not battery operated is a very cost effective Cons. I would pay more for a battery powered edger than I would for one with a height adjusted handle. I would love to see a battery powered variant, improved ergonomics on the handle, and a second guard in front of the blade to help with curves and dulling blades.
