The corded electric trimmer and edger can be used to cut along borders, sidewalks and flower beds. It is easy to handle with height handles. More line, more control. Automatic spoon feed technology automatically feeds more line. You can get the job done faster if you have more power from the motor to the cutting string. There is a wide mowing area. You can cover more ground with the trim radius.
👤The designers made the power plug completely recessed and the recess too small to fit a typical 3-prong extension cord. I don't have 50- or 100 foot 2-prong extension cords lying around, and the ones I do have have a 3-receptacle tap which doesn't fit, is not something I would want to own. I have to either go to the hardware store or remove enough material to fit my regular extension cord. 1 star for wasting my time.
👤This is a good edger. I had some of the same problems as others. The plug in is not compatible with a normal extension cord. I was not going to buy another extension cord just for this. I shaved the edges of the plug in on the edger with scissors and took about 5 minutes. It worked out great. 2. The auto line feeders are designed to make you run out quicker. It's easy to fix by putting a piece of duct tape over it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, there are videos on YouTube that will show you.
👤It's very lightweight, easy to snap on, and does a great job on tall and short growth. I'm in heaven after a year of fighting with a craftsman. I'm in my 60s and it's so light.
👤It was impossible to use as recommended by Amazon. The problem is that the trimmer was designed to block the extension cords. It is useless without an extension cord from the 1980s.
👤I got this to replace a trimmer that I thought would make me lose my life trying to untangle the line. This trimmer has an auto feed. I don't need to hit it on the ground to release the line. It seems to travel through the weeds and grasses. The guard is doing a good job. I haven't torn my legs and shins. I am very impressed with this trimmer. If only it would run itself and stop whacking my plants.
👤The auto feed system is not very efficient. The first time I used this weed wacker, I finished the entire spool before I finished half the yard work. I don't have a big yard and it would cost a lot of money to replace them. I'm returning the item and buying a weed wacker that has a system for controlling it.
👤It works great except for the auto feed line. I wish I never bought this thing. If you use it for a few minutes, you have to reload the unit, which is more time consuming. It sounds like a great thing. I would never have bought this product if I had read the negative reviews. B & D told me that I need to buy a new leaver because the one I have is worn out. Since I took it out of the box, the unit has had a problem. Isn't worth using. It takes too much time and uses too much line.
👤I loved everything about this weed eater, until I realized how quickly it uses the string. I went through 2 1/2 rolls in 2 hours. The old trimmer would work last month. I'm not sure if it's because of the automatic feed or something. The other feature was great. When you flip it over, it worked great. The handle is changeable.

👤My previous weeder blew up in my hands. I had a lot of trouble with it. I was wondering about it as it was a bit inexpensive, when I ordered it. However, it arrived and was very large. I'm not too heavy to be uncomfortable to use. It has a solid feel, not a cheap feel. It was easy to assemble. I did it in 10 minutes. There are two trim line ports in it. I did not see that when I ordered. It comes with 2 more wire. It digs down into the dirt and is fairly quiet. The telescopic handle has an edging mode. I would recommend this to anyone.
👤The string cutter we had was dead after 20 years of use. I found this beauty on Amazon. I am very happy. It was easy to assemble and take care of our yard. I like the feature where you don't have to "bump" it anymore to feed the string. It was in excellent condition when it arrived. This garden implement is very good.
👤We have a small yard that has grass growing but it was difficult to cut it with garden scissors. We decided to try this trimmer and it was so efficient that we were glad we got it. It was easy to use. It is not too heavy to carry and the quality is good. The husband was able to cut the grass in less time. The grass keeps growing fast and we have been using this a lot. This was a good find for us.
👤I write honest reviews. I ordered this because my Black and Decker finally gave out. The trimmer runs out of whip frequently. I had to stop trimming my lawn because the auto feed never worked. I returned after one use.
👤I intended to get a battery operated trimmer, but decided to use it anyway. It is light and easy to manage. I will use it a lot.
👤It was pretty happy with it. I had an electric Black and Decker. Overall happy with the purchase. Thank you.
👤Definitely worth the money. It's easy to assemble and very light to use. The job was done in half the time.
👤This weed eater is beyond my expectations. It's so powerful! It was easy to replace the string. This is a great purchase.
There is speed control for maximized power and run time. The electric string trimmer has a 21V battery. The battery is for performance. The charge time is 2 hours. The angle of the machine head can be freely adjusted, so the trimmer can trim the lawn and trees no matter where it is. The models with cables offer less mobility. The telescopic link can be adjusted. The noise is low. The weed edger is quieter than a petrol-powered trimmer. The included components include a lawn trimmer. There are other accessories such as a round blade, straight metal blade, nylon blade, and an Allen wrench.
👤The tool works well for a while. The battery won't hold a charge. The tool makes about 5 revolutions after it is plugged in. I can find a replacement battery for half the price.
👤I have been cutting the grass. It's holding up well for what I've been doing. I have been using the extra battery for hours, so I bought an extra one. Two years ago, my house was hit by a Hurricane and had a lot of overgrowth and weeds.
👤The product was used. I didn't know that it was refurbished and there was no return information or instructions.
👤The grass is being cut. It ran for 20 minutes and died. It would only run for a short time before it died.
👤This was a complete waste of money and the blade bent as soon as it was used.
👤I was able to use it for 2 minutes before it died. I was cutting weeds.
👤This wasn't good quality. The blades were not strong. It could bend easily.
The warranty is limited to 5 years. You can easily convert from a trimmer string to a wheel edger in just seconds. The Command Feed system has a push button. Free Spools for Life. Do it all with the same battery. Worx Power Share is compatible with all Worx products. The batteries for the 20V Power Share MaxLithium can be used on any other tool in the WORX PowerShare family. You can get to tough-to-reach places on sloped terrain. Straighter lines and cleaner cuts can be given by support and guide the edger. You don't damage plants, landscape features, and lawn ornaments while you're trimming. 7600rpm no-load speed, 12” cutting diameter, 5.3 lbs. The cutting line length is 0.065” and the machine weight is 10.
👤I have an unfortunate amount of yard work. I gave up on the gas-powered weed trimmer that was leftover from my marriage. I spent more time figuring it out than trimming. My back and shoulders were killed. With gas powered yard machines, I don't know how much oil to mix, what kind of gas to put in and so on. I'm not a mechanical person. My quest for an easier and lighter weed trimmer began. I landed on this Worx Trimmer because of reviews on Amazon and other marketplaces. After three mowing cycles, I have used the weed trimmer. No regrets so far. It's economical. The second battery is very useful because I have almost an acre of yard. If I decide to get a third battery, I can get one for about 40 dollars. I took out the four-year warranty for less than five bucks, which was an added bonus for the mechanically challenged. How does it perform? I like it. A friend of mine stopped by and said how nice the yard was. I have a health issue that causes chronic pain and the trimmer is lightweight. The lack of weight is a huge relief compared to the amount of weight the gas trimmer has. I have enough to take care of my yard, even though the batteries will lose steam. A child could easily feed line. I need to say more. I went back and forth with this brand and another that starts with a B. I didn't know about this brand. So glad that I chose the Worx. It will work for you if it works for me. If you found my review helpful, please click/tap the yes icon. Thank you so much!
👤It's great for a small property. The string that came with it should be changed. It's weak and needs to be fed. I use the.80 string from DeWalt and it is better than the.worx string that comes with it. You just have to tap it quickly, while running, it will pause. It will advance a few times when you need more string. The batteries could last longer, but they only give you two of them. It's not a big deal. It would be an issue if they gave you one battery. The edger feature gives you clean looking lines. Keeping that line straight is not the fault of the tools. It's very flexible in terms of comfort, so you can make it fit your body size. It's light enough. This is a great tool for a person with a small property, as long as they have some heavier gauge string. 99 dollars is a good price for a decent weed whacker. I have a corner property in the suburbs so I have plenty of grass. I can edge it all with one battery.
👤This isn't a gas mower. You can enjoy the benefits of this gem once you get that in your head. I've always had gas trimmers. I hated the destruction of fencing, siding, and edging. I have never liked getting hit in the shins with rocks and mulch chips. I don't like ringing in my ears or vibrating hands, they are not on my list of fun things. The little 20V trimmer is able to address all those issues. It cuts the grass, even though it isn't as powerful as a gas trimmer. What more do you need? It is a lot lighter. It has less noise. It is very quiet. The lack of power is a benefit. It's much easier to control a more detailed cut. The flip over edging feature is great for lining out your natural edges on landscaping beds. I know what you are thinking, how long do the batteries last? I have a quarter acre with large beds, a fence, curbs, a fire pit, and five trees to trim. This thing does them all and has enough in reserve to run my Worx blower on all the surfaces now covered with grass. Would I buy this if I were a commercial landscaper? Nope. Would I buy it if my yard was bigger? I only use one battery now. It comes with two. I have no regrets. The gasser is at a garage sale.
Automatic oiler applies oil to bar and chain when needed to ensure longevity and optimal use with a translucent oil tank for clear view of oil level. The motor has powerful edging capabilities. The double edge blade has robust edging capabilities and longer wear. Variable blade depth is provided by the spring assist front wheel. The auxiliary handle has been adjusted for added user comfort and control. Accidental disconnection is prevented by the integrated cord lock feature.
👤I have only used this edger a few times before the winter. I got it out of storage and started edging the sidewalk. The cutting blade suddenly came off and flew through the air, missing my head by a few inches. It could have killed me or blinded me. I first thought that the bolt that holds the blade onto the motor drive shaft had come loose and that the blade would come off, but after examining the shaft, I realized that it had snapped off at the threaded end where the bolt goes on tofasten the blade. Leaving only two threads around the shaft is not enough to tighten the bolt back onto it. See the picture. There is no way to re-attach the blade. The whole motor would have to be replaced. I don't think I bought an extended warranty. I will have to buy another edger. It won't be another Greenworks.
👤This isn't a powerful tool. If your grass is very overgrown or you want to only edge 2x a year it will be a decent amount of work, which can be nerve-racking when the blade finally cuts through the bunched up sod. You'll have to go at it twice at a higher level, because there are better products out there. My review doesn't reflect this, but mine broke the first time I used it, so it's not the same. The front wheel broke.
👤After 10 years, my B&D edger called it quits. I love the battery operated hedge trimmer from GreenWorks. The product did not meet my expectations. There is no metal shield between the blade and the sidewalk. The blade hit the concrete. The handle vibrates harshly up when it does, and it affects your hands even with gloves. I would expect the blade to last a long time. I went back to my old edger.
👤The edge has done an ok job for us. The blade stopped spinning on Saturday. The motor seems to have stopped. I have been on hold for 20 minutes or more 3 times and tried to wall GreenWorks. What a lie.
👤I just got mine and am done with about 120' of sidewalk and driveway. It took an hour tops. I like it. It lasted me 10 years, better than my edgehog. I will be happy if this lasts 10 years. I do my edge in the spring and fall. Cut about 2' deep. Good deal!
👤I had trouble getting this on Amazon. I got it locally. After 1.5 years. Customer service is not good and the motor has stopped. After my lawn mower and trimmer are dead, I refuse to buy another greenworks product. The blade flew off at least 15 times. Make sure you wear safety gear. You might be chewing it up faster than you think because there is no guide on the blade. It was only a 12 Amp motor, which was the only pro. Black and decker beats this by a wide margin.
👤This thing is the superior choice compared to other products in the same price point, I've owned both now. The B&D had a guard for edging which helped keep you tight to the concrete, but it also made it harder to edge, especially if you neglected that for a while. If I treat it like a lawnmower blade for maintenance at the start of the season, it's easy to de-burr, I can keep going for quite a while. It doesn't take me long to touch up when I'm doing other blades, so I could probably cut that down to just the start of the season. It edges like a dream, has more power than the B&D, and while that's a small difference, I noticed a whole different ease of experience doing the edging.
The electric lawn edger has a motor. The garden edger tool blade is approximately 7.5" long. 25 inches and 1 inch. Scotts edger can convert into a trencher by adjusting the set height. Scott's power edger is powered by electricity and delivers the same power and performance as a gas-powered edger. Scott's lawn edger has a built-in cord retention hook for keeping cords secure and tangle-free.
👤Assembly was easy, a bit of patience and a good mallet. The edger works well, but I am disappointed that I have used it three times and the blade needs to be replaced. The blade didn't work well after the first use. I don't know if it is a lemon or a poor quality blade. Will contact the manufacturer if there is a problem. It has been updated. There are no replacement blades for this item. The warranty is useless. Returned.
👤I immediately ordered a replacement for the bolt that held the blade off. I reassembled the replacement and the bung again. I took pictures.
👤I used it for the first time and it worked fine, but after 15 minutes it started to smoke and stop working. Sending it back.
👤I only used it once and it did well. I'm concerned about the cover over the blade, but hopefully it won't be a problem. The instructions are not as detailed as I would have expected. I will update after I use more.
👤Puts together quickly. Plug it in and start rolling. Cut through the areas around my flower beds and sidewalks with a knife. My wife was on me to install the invisible dog fence. I used the edger to cut my trench. Wait, there is more. I wanted to place Dynatrap in the back corner of my yard but I didn't want to dig and lay the conduit because I had no electric. I had the tool. I was able to put conduit in a small trench that was created by a machine and have a mosquito free yard.
👤I bought this edger for myself because I can't use my husband's large, heavy, and cumbersome power tools. My husband had to try it out. He almost got the entire driveway and sidewalk done before it got too dark. I didn't get to try it out until the next day. It's funny. That's ok with me. He liked it more than his big, heavy duty edger. This edger has passed the husband test in our household, and that's fine with me. Thanks... Scotts, for a great product and one that we both can use, without a lot of strain and struggle, to get our sidewalk and driveway edging. This does the trick because our driveway is large and long. I love this edger!
👤The screw/bolt holding the blade to the machine broke for my first spin. On Tuesday, assembled and tried to use on Saturday.
👤The first time I used it, the Bolt broke. Cheap.
Customer service is important. 24-Month is committed to building tools that are reliable for a long time. Their commitment to quality is reflected in their warranties. Any questions will be answered within 24 hours. The electric trimmer/edger has a powerful 5 Amp motor. Extra-wide 14-inch dual-line cutting head gets the job done faster. One-step walk-behind edging--switch from a trimmer to an edger. Extending reach is provided by the telescopic shaft and assist handle. Measures approximately 11 by 14 by 48 inches.
👤I have to fix the string again and again, because it will not stay out, and I have to remove the string holder and fix the rat nest of string.
👤I bought this item because of the good reviews here. The unit seems sturdy and has good construction. The lack of a tap-to-advance string feature is a major fault. Every time thetrigger is released, it advances the line automatically. If you're trimming in a high wear situation, like edging the drive, you find yourself constantly pausing to "gun" thetrigger in order to advance the line, instead of being able to simplybump the head and continue trimming. It cuts my trimming speed in half while I am constantly stop and goosing thetrigger to feed enough line back out to resume trimming. The auto feed feature feeds out line every time you release the gun, which can result in the string being too long, so it beats itself against the guard until the ends are cut off. It was very annoying. I prefer tap-to-advance string advance.
👤I like to read a lot of comments before I buy something, but I got to the conclusion that they were right about the stream, and that was a pain in the butt. It's stupid to keep it working when toro can do better, it was trashed after 2 uses, I destroyed it, don't f...
👤Home Depot was out of stock when I received my TORO 51490 Hedge Trimmer. I found that it shreds cut, but another pass smoothed out the hedge and it went fine. I think the thumb sized U shaped catch blade is the reason for this, it allows the twigs to move during the cut process, whereas my old trimmer had V shaped slots which seemed to grab and hold during the cut. The old blade was only 16 inches, but the new blade is 22 inches. It had enough power to cut through the stems. The hedge is close to me. It will give you a workout through the shoulders and back, and I'm a senior. I would have preferred a clear shield. I could see what was happening better, but it wasn't a big deal. I miss the lock on option of my old trimmer as I experience fatigue with constant pressure to the handle. I get the safety feature. I found it easy to register at the TORO site, even though I feel the warranty should be included in packaging. I would recommend this trimmer for a fine corded tool, as I am pleased with it. We will see how long it lasts.
👤It seemed like it would work out for me. It's too heavy for me to use with the wheel. I tried to cut tall grass next to our brick wall, but I used my clippers. The lines broke on the 3rd time I used the trimmer. I can't remove the spool to check for more line or replace it. I threw the box it came in. It's a complete waste of money for me. It would do better with someone with more strength. I was disappointed that I chose the wrong one. It's a great brand.
7-12 in. is what the built for reliability is. The blade is 3/16 in. thickness for a range of tasks Dewitt Universal Attachment can accept additional tool pieces. DURABILITY and EFFICIENCY is 7 inches. A hardened steel blade is up to 2 1/2 in. The blade depth can be adjusted. EASE OF MOVEMENT with a large wheel for mobility. There is speed control for maximized power and run time.
👤I am a fan of the Dewalt power tool. I already owned a hedge trimmer, blower, weed eater, chain saw, and edger. Knowing the cost of the batteries I like to buy new batteries as they bring the price down greatly for battery replacement. I put the new battery on the charge after the Edger came in because I had so many batteries. I took another of my batteries and tested the edger. I have a big gas one but wanted a quicker and more reliable electric. Edger did a great job. I hung it up with my other tools. The battery didn't charge and the Hot/Cold delay light was on, but I didn't see the first light until the next morning. I tried the battery on another device and it didn't work. The battery wouldn't do anything when I plugged it into a tool. I was told that I needed to contact the seller for issues for the first thirty days. One call confirmed the responsibility and the other took my information. I knew Dewalt would replace it since they are datecoded. They know if it's new or not. A new battery arrived today. Great products and a great seller.
👤The feedback I got was that I didn't know this had a 60 battery. I think that is why it was so much more. You can only look for the tool if you have a 60 battery. The handle was not tight no matter how many times I tried. I used a handle from another weed eater. The battery seems to drain quickly. You just need to pry it out of the mud. It is awesome. I have about 40 Dewalt tools and they have all been great.
👤The Trigger stopped working after one week. I have a $300 tire block.
👤It was easy to use. I have never used another edger so I have nothing to compare it to. It was easy for me to get it.
👤It is an edger that uses batteries. 60v 9 ah batteries have a great battery life.
👤Dewalt Edger. Will use for the first time this weekend. The experience with Dewalt products has always been good.
👤The electric edger has a lot of power and battery life.
👤It was used for my drive way and two brick walkways. The results were easy to use.
The operator's manual includes a 12 inch string trimmer, an auxiliary handle, guard, edge guide, and a Spool cover. The shaft can be adjusted to fit the user. Convenient lock to prevent accidental unplugging. The construction is lightweight. A 3 year warranty is included.
👤I have a small yard with 10 x 10 in the back and a small patch in the front of our drive way, so I bought this trimmer. This was an easy solution since we received a notice to clean up the yard. The package was put together in the original box from GreenWorks. This is more effective than repackaging. Assembly was very easy if you know how to use a phillips head screwdriver. This is an electric trimmer, so it will need an extension cord to use. It was not clearly stated on the website, but it's not a big deal since it's $5-10). I used this to hack down the weeds in my backyard in about twenty minutes. This thing has a lot of power and is very easy to use. If you need a simple solution like the one I had, this is the trimmer for you. It is fairly priced and will get the job done right the first time. I write reviews to help other people. If you found the review helpful, please let us know. Thanks!
👤I have been using the first GreenWorks 21212 4Amp 13-Inch Corded String Trimmer for three years. I live on the edge of the high desert in Oregon and I have been cutting my entire 12 acre property with one of these. This includes wire fences, rock gardens and iron weeds. These are great tools. There are a few things you need to know to make them work. The automatic advance only works when you use both strings. Various companies sell replacement spools that don't fit the trimmer. If you forget them, you can get a 200-300 spool of.065. I have not tried the edging string, so I have to re-wind the original spool. The arrow on top of the spool will tell you which direction to go. Both strings are wound the same way. You can start the string in the spool by slipping the string in the same direction you want it to wind. The string is locked in place. Once you have the sting loaded, how to get the trimmer to advance. Understand that the trimmer doesn't have a sensor that tells it to let out more string. The string is advanced each time the power is turned off. You will hear a click before it stops. The strings will advance when you give it power again. You can start the trimmer as many times as you please until you want them. You can advance the strings manually by turning the trimmer on its handle and looking at the spool for a black button. The string will advance if you play with it. The trimmer has a motor that is 4 Amps, which means there is brush or thick weeds that you can't get through without the motor straining. You can work around it. Go to a single string. The automatic advance won't work with only one string. You will have to do it manually. This will allow you to cut thicker grass and weeds. The cut will be difficult and you will have to make two passes, but the motor will not fail.
The quick-connect coupler allows for easy attachment changes. There is a 2-in-one. There is no reason to buy a separate trimmer and edger. The auto line feed is on. When you need it, the dual-line feed system will give you fresh trimmer string. Change the angle to better accommodate sloped and inclined areas of the lawn, and get into hard to reach places. It is recommended to adjust to long and short USers. Everyone can use the telescopic shaft. Do it yourself. Do it better. Do it with Wrox. You can build a cost-effective tool collection that is designed to last with the WORX tools. There is a position handling. You can find a comfortable working position if you trim under bushes or the deck. The flower guard protects against accidental cutting of plants or damage to lawn ornaments.
👤I gave two of these to tenants to encourage them to edge their yards, because I'm a landlord. These are cheap and light, and you get what you pay for. They don't hold up. I think. All 5 of them are dead. The design is the issue. Unlike most gas models, the motor is down near the spool. Dirt and debris get sucked into the slats of the edger to cool the electric motor. This is unavoidable. The motor burns out. It's not possible to take the head apart to clean it. You have to pull the line out yourself when the feeders stop feeding because you have to take the mechanism apart. As you use the plastic line, it warms up and sticks to itself. I was tempted to throw the thing over the fence when this happened so frequently. I've been pleased with the gas model I purchased, it's the only one I can put on other things. If you don't mind buying a new one every year or two, this will work well for you.
👤We upgraded from a battery operated whacker. This is more powerful. It has nylon strings that cut a diameter about the size of a regular family pizza. I put my 11 year old on safety gear and made him change out of his crocs.
👤I have lost count of the number of Black and Deckers I have used. When a new battery for my B&D is almost the same as a new weed eater, I decided to rethink my options. I love the other Worx yard tools and didn't hesitate on ordering this weed eater. It was easy to assemble. It is easy to adjust for usage. You can adjust the shaft based on your height. I had back and shoulder pain because I was too short. Some weeds were impervious to the B&D and MzE The heavy duty extension cord was too thick to fit through the slot.
👤I was spoiled by my older Worx model because this guard is huge and awkward. It's a pain to stop the machine, push buttons, and remove the handle, even though it has the ability to tilt and change height. The string that came with it is useless. It doesn't auto feed and tends to melt to itself. I have to stop the thing every ten feet. The line is cheap. If I hit one rock or concrete, it's all gone but 2 inches. This thing made me feel anxious. It took almost 40 minutes longer because of these issues, I just wanted to do my job. It's very hard to find positions that work for the job I'm doing. I've used it about 5 times and just had it. I pulled one of the plugs out of my old WG118 because I want it back. I can tie my extension cord with the external cord that I have now. My extension cord is thicker than others, so threading it through the opening is a no go. I hate this thing. I don't want anyone to recommend this to me.
Included: The thatch collection bag is easy to dispose of. Like the Pros. The 12 Amp motor spins the 7.5” blade fast and deep at 4700 revolutions per minute, giving you professional looking lines and edges. Depending on the task at hand, cut down at 1” 1-1/4” or more. You will notice a difference when you use the cutting line guide. Users of any height can find a long and comfortable position with the help of the adjustment shaft and D-grip handle. Do it yourself. Do it better. Do it with Wrox. You can build a cost-effective tool collection that is designed to last with the WORX tools.
👤The edger is powerful, but it is difficult to plow through matted turf. In my case the grass had grown too tall. It had been a couple of years since it had been trimmed so there were at least three inches of grass that had to be cut back. The soil is always moist because my lawn is always fertilized. It was necessary to stop every 20' or so to dig out the dirt and grass that had accumulated in the shroud. It should be designed to handle the earth with its moist nature, even though they warn against it in "wet" grass. The back edge of the shroud caught on the thick grass as it moved forward, and the wheels wouldn't ride up over the clumps without a push. I had to keep rocking the unit back and forth to get it to progress. This might be corrected with larger rear wheels. The edger performs well with enough patience. I haven't had the problem of the blade coming loose yet, as many others have complained about. Time will tell about this. The machine has cleaned up one side of my walkway and you can see it in the attached photo. Once the sods are cut free, you have to use other tools to remove them. The walk took me about 45 minutes. I used the edger for the first time. I think the other side will take me less time tomorrow since I have the hang of using the machine. The edger will work more efficiently once it has an edge and all that is needed is to maintain it in the future. The other side of the walk went quicker after the job was finished. I did another pass on both sides of the walk with the edger after the opposite edge was cut back. I wanted the edges to be straight and clean. The final edging gave me the look I wanted. Having walked both sides of the 80's, I have done it again. The question of the blade being loosened is something I can comment on. No problem at all. I used a large crescent wrench and a 15mm sockets to tighten the nut for the test. I did the first check after the first pass. I was able to tighten the nut. It was tight, and must have come from the factory. I checked it again after the job was done. I couldn't tighten it anymore. There was no loosened at all. I can only conclude that others who have had the loosened blade didn't confirm the tightness of the blade, or they were cutting through tough ground. The edger does a good job despite the unit struggling to make the initial cuts through the thick grass. If you keep up with your edging and don't let the grass grow over your pavement, you will have to cut a lot of it back. The machine will do well if I do the job every year. If you let it go for two or three years like I did, you can plan to do a lot of work to bring things back to where you want them to be. With patience, the Worx WG896 will make the job a lot easier.
