The 40V MAX battery is replaceable and works with all other products. The electric edge trimmer has a 24 inch ground dual-action blade that is 40% less vibration than single action blades. Steel shearing blades cut branches up to 1/2 inch thick. The rear handle of the trimmers rotates 180 degrees for the best hand position. Powerful motor and extended reach are ideal for trimming tasks. The extension is plugged in for use and has a built-in cord retainer. The lock-on switch ensures continuous operation. The handle has a soft grip and is lightweight.
👤This is the first electric hedge trimmer I have owned. It's better than using a manual clipper, but I wish it handled thicker branches a bit better. The hedge in front of the house is fifteen feet long, six feet tall, and three to four feet wide. The hedge trimmer was used to remove a few feet from the top. I like the things about the trimmer. I like the twenty-four inch cutting blade because it is large enough to cover a lot of ground quickly and is not too long. The unit is light and has a comfortable handle. The fact that it is electric is probably a plus. The batteries are expensive and don't last very long. It took me a little while to get used to pulling the cord loose. It really struggles on branches that are half an inch or thicker. Trying to let the trimmer do the work was not always a good idea. You would have to pull the trimmer loose from the thicker branches if you wanted to go at them from a different direction. I oiled the blade, but it didn't improve its effectiveness. The trimmer should be able to handle half inch branches. I didn't see any sign that the motor was heating up too much. I am pleased with the trimmer, but it is not the miracle worker I was hoping for.
👤I just bought a property that had shrubs, hedges, cedars, and bushes that were never trimmed or trimmed in 8 years. What a disaster. This nightmare was destroyed by this HH2455. The trimmer will cut through the branches. The blades need to be oiled. After an hour of cutting, you will need to oil the blades. Take a quart of your favorite motor oil and poke a hole in the bottle's cap. The zip zip. You are oiled. It's like putting mustard on a hotdog. The trimmer kicks ass.
👤The old HH2450 model lasted about 6 years of moderate heavy-duty use, and was replaced by this 24 inch Hedgehog. The 2450 body performed outstandingly until it stopped. I take care of my equipment and conduct pre and post maintenance to make sure there is no debris or rust in the area. I trimmed a large hedge row and an open lot next to my house to make room for the new one. The motor is 3.3 Amp. It's a No Brainer! This trimmer is perfect for moderate to heavy use. If the cutter's conditioning, endurance, and weather conditions are right, your arms may start rebelling beyond that. 1. The old 2450 has an excellent trimmer. The dices and slices are like butter. It works so well that I accidentally cut through the electric cord during my ground sweeps. I thought that the electric cord had stopped working. Nope! I used the old 2450 for the first time and it was the cord that caused it. 2. Longer reach and different handle positions. 3. Light-weight and electric power. 4. It can last more than 5 years if well-maintained. 5. Two-year B&D warranty. Good price! Minor 1 is the con. The 2450 Replacement blades did not include a blade removal wrench. 2. The built-in Cord Retention system built into the back of the handle is not as good as the one on the old HH 2450, as my electric cord fell out a few times during my use. Comment - A 4 Amp Motor would be a perfect match for this trimmer, and make it a bit more useful. B&D could release a version called the 250-x - XL. Send me a one before you start B&D.
The included items are a 40V MAX* power-cut hedge trimmer, and a 40V MAX* battery. The brushless motor has more power, quieter operation, and longer life. There are 24 inch dual action blades. The rear handle is rotating to provide easy trimming. Up to 60 minutes run-time with a fully charged 2Ah battery. Your investment is protected by a 4-year tool and battery warranty.
👤I own an 80V Greenworks mower with two compatible batteries. Have used it twice. Take-aways: 1. Clean cutting on hedges is very satisfying. The blade length is good. Powerful. This thing cut through some branches. I wouldn't make a habit of it. 3. I thought I wouldn't use the multi-position handle. I thought it was a little too much. I assumed it was only three positions. It's at least five. It was used all day long. Very helpful. It's difficult to work over your head. These are powered clippers. They probably all are. I like them and recommend them.
👤I was able to do everything I needed, but it took some time to get through larger branches on the sturdier bushes. It trimmed everything I needed to trim. I thought I would not use it because of the comments. I didn't think I would need it, it was just a useless marketing feature. I was wrong. It makes a difference in the unit's handling and I found myself struggling if I didn't use it when changing from horizontal to vertical cuts. I think it's a winner if you are using the 80V system.
👤I used this for the first time today. I was very disappointed with the low tech push button that connects the trimmer to the pole and battery housing. It is an engineering failure. I wish Greenworks had looked harder at the critical function of the fasteners and the dozens of other ones that would work better. This trimmer is very tiring to work with because of the off balance of the unit. Customers may be better served with a lower unit. I would advise people to look elsewhere until that is re-designed. After each use, most people will need to take it apart. I am convinced that this unit is an engineering disaster. Many of the Greenworks products are great. Run away from the machine. You will be sore for a week after using it. Can't believe they released this thing.
👤The lock out on handle is useless as the factory produced it. The switch comes on after you release the switch, it's horrible, the Trigger Lockout comes on every time, most pro items have a simple unlock one time to use the unit, this switch comes on after ever time you release the switch. This is not a deadman switch, unlike other pro brands. You have to pull a switch with your thumb or index finger. It would be 4 stars if it were better designed. The last gripe is with any battery powered tool, it's not balanced, it's very biased to the trimmer end, and with the waist battery pack it's useless, as all the weight is on the trimmer.
👤The product wouldn't work after I used it once. I contacted customer service to prove that it was malfunctioning. They told me that they wouldn't have the product in stock for up to six weeks and I should contact them again at that time. I should have returned the item through Amazon from the beginning. Don't buy this item. The earlier cheaper model broke within 9 months and was not good.
Measures 8 by 8 by 36 inches. A high-efficiency motor. The blades are hardened steel. The blades are fully functioning. The electric brake stops blade action quickly. The power source is battery powered.
👤I cut my cord and it scared me. Tired of the smell, noise, and mix ratios of pre-mix 2 stroke motor. I bought this with apprehension. After using this twice, I can say it is amazing. I used it for an hour at a time and it wore me out. It has a low noise. I didn't use my ear muffs. I got rid of a lot of bushes that were over 10 feet tall. It used to take me several days to use my wheeled string trimmer. It took me 2 hours. I was going to buy the Black and Decker for half the price, but I was scared when I read about the build quality. Since the battery pack is interchangeable, I ordered the Ego chainsaw and leaf blower without the battery packs. The battery charges very quickly. My body doesn't replenish as fast. This is one of the few products that I am really excited about. The battery technology has reached a point where they can compete with the other sources of power and offer a lot of convenience. Don't be alarmed if you are about to purchase this product.
👤The device had a lot of power and was easy to use. I had to call for help when it jammed after a few trims. They agreed it needed to be replaced but never sent a new unit. After repeated calls, the same outcome and no trimmer.
👤Don't buy it from Bomb Brands. I only used this item for a few times and it is not working anymore. The seller is not an authorized seller. Bomb Brands is not an authorized seller of this product, so EGO can't do anything about it. EGO products have a 5 year warranty, but they didn't do anything. I contacted the seller many times, but they didn't do anything for the product.
👤A man. I got the EGO power tools for my birthday, and they are all great, and if you get three batteries, the lawn mower battery is a good size. I can swap out two of the 2.5 Amps for one that will mow the grass and blow it. I have nothing but praise for EGO for their tools, they have a great web site with all the info you need on the device and even a great registration page, all well thought out with many "features" you'll appreciate when using them. The B&D brand is cheaper, but it is much better. I don't use garden tools or lawnmowers from B&D, but I do like their drivers and drills. These tools are as powerful as GAS models and are quiet in the process, which is great for people who don't like GAS or don't want to use it. It's been a long time since tools made cordless worth.
👤The EGO Lithium power packs are common to their other devices. The trimmer can trim up azaleas and boxwood bushes. I was able to trim my entire property with the same battery. I was tired of lugging around extension cords and worried about slicing through them. The unit is heavy and the battery clips on the back of it. Your forearms and wrists will feel it. After holding this up for a while. I had to put it down every few minutes to allow my arms to recover. There are two parts to prevent accidental starting. The plug in ones have their own compromises. I think this is great for homeowners who time hedges once or twice a year. If I had a business landscape, I wouldn't want to carry this around with me.
A 3 year warranty is included. The G-MAX 40V Li-Ion battery system is sold separately. The 180 degree rotating rear handle has a wrap around auxiliary handle for user comfort. The blade has dual action steel for better cutting performance. The cutting capacity helps maintain thick bushes and hedges. The speed is 2400. It is compatible with the GreenWorks G-MAX 40V. The Li-Ion battery models are listed below.
👤I bought this hedge trimmer and a large number of other Greenworks power equipment products based on the 40V battery system because I did a lot of research and chose the Greenworks 40V battery system. I am very happy with the other Greenworks 40V products that I have, but I am disappointed with the hedge trimmer. It's only good for cutting very thin branches. It can't even trim our boxwood as it gets stuck or stutters with the smallest of thickness that the blades encounter. It's useless! It barely cuts 3mm boxwood branches without stuttering and it gets upset and stutters when facing only 3/16 inch boxwood branches. What a waste of money. I invested in the Greenworks 40V battery system set and I don't want to buy another battery operated hedge trimmer from another brand. I need a corded hedge trimmer to trim and maintain our boxwood. I can't use the hedge trimmer for anything so I might as well throw it away.
👤I have been using battery hedge trimmers for about 10 years, the latest being the 18v that worked well on my hedges in Colorado, I am a retiree and DIYer living in Tucson, AZ. I didn't have the skills to cut the forty 1/2 inch branches of the sticker bushes that were growing in AZ. I had to use the loppers to cut the larger branches because the battery in my car couldn't give me more than 10 minutes. I had fusion surgery last year after slipping a disc in my neck while working with the loppers. I wanted to find the best hedge trimmer money could buy or hire someone to do, which would cost $250 per month, so I was motivated to find the best hedge trimmer. I read many reviews while shopping for HD/Lowes and Amazon. The detail in Greenworks' reviews convinced me to try their 40v. I can vouch that this is the best buy for the money after three months of use. It is so fast that I have reduced my workload by 50% because the branches don't get stuck anymore and the battery lasts much longer. It is safer for my neck because I reduced the use of the loppers and the rotating head. The Greenworks Blower/Vacuum is another great purchase, due to the higher than expected quality.
👤The trimmer is a real workhorse. It's very easy to cut through the brush up to 1/2 inch. I've used it multiple times and it still had a charge left every time. I included before and after photos of the clearing of the weeds and brush. I sprayed it with Silicone-formulaWD-40 up and down the blades while it was running to solve the problem of it making straining noises at the end of the first use. After every use, I spray it.
👤I have always used gas powered tools. A friend of mine asked me to get a tool to cut hedges and leave it with her to keep them trimmed. I used her 40v weed trimmer and it worked well. I was impressed by the hedge trimmer's ability to cut through thick sticks and still do well on the green leaves. It took a few passes to get the precision it deserved, but it was easy because of its light weight and long reach bar. I liked the handle/blade rotation ability, as I could cut with blade upside down above my head with handle grip on the side. Overall. I think this works at 80% of gas trimmer, same convenience, light weight, and of course no mixing and lugging around fuel. reasonable charge time as well.
There is a hedge trimmer included. You get the flattest tops and the straightest sides, plus fewer passes for each hedge. You can trim hedges without contorting your body with the head turning on a swivel. Worx Power Share is compatible with all Worx tools, outdoor power and lifestyle products. The blades cut everything twice, once forward and once back, to make sure they are clean. The gap between blades is narrow enough to get around thicker twigs and branches, but still give you 2200 strokes/min. The power is powered by two MaxLithium PowerShare batteries for 40V of total power and performance. You can come at each hedge from the right angle if you grasp it from any place you like. 2x20V Hedge Trimmer, 20V MaxLithium Batteries, 20V Charger, Safety Guard, and a blade sheath are included.
👤I received my trimmer today and I am very happy. It took me longer to remove the product from the well packaged packaging because I didn't see what the problem was. I had the shield and handle on without opening the instruction manual after removing the packaging. The manual was very clear about what needed to be done. How hard can that be? The pictures show what was done in less than 30 minutes. Along the driveway, it cut oak tree branches. It was able to remove the bushes next to the house. The weight of the machine is not as heavy as it would be if you used a gas powered hedge trimmer and lighter chainsaws. I own 3 products from Worx and will buy more as I find a need for them.
👤You are buying into a platform when you get into corded tools. What brand do I like or trust, what voltage will be best for me, and what tools will be avalible in that platform. It's important to think about the cost of not standerdising your system and the different batteries and batteries you want before you buy a tool kit. Worx made that E Z figure out. They think outside the box to design great tools, to make them more practical and to do more. This is an example of how they put into the tools so they can get the best bang for the buck. I can combine the batteries in this trimmer with the ones I use from a hand drill to get 40v power for outdoor work. I can use the same batteries I use for a hand drill in my out door tools, and they will work. This has the power to cut threw branches, and it trims them with a clean and crisp cut, unlike my old electric trimmer that shredded its way thrown. I hope that you will give it a try, I will be buying more from Worx.
👤My last two hedge trimmers have burned out, and I have had a few. I bought a 20V Cordless Trimmer from WORX and it works well, but my hedges are getting big enough that the battery needs three charges to do the job, and the reach across has gotten bigger. I bought this one from Amazon Warehouse Deals and it makes the above trimmer look like it came from Harbor Fright. This needs two 20V batteries in series to make 40 volts and it comes with a twin charger which is quick. I don't see why those batteries should have battery charge lights on them. Both trimmers' batteries seem to be interchangeable, even though this bigger trimmer needs two batteries to run.
👤I have several WORX tools that are very durable and perform well above expectation. The trimmer is too heavy and bulky to handle. I thought the second battery was for back-up. If you have other WORX tools in your shed, the dual charger is a nice feature. You will get a full upper-body workout while using this trimmer.
Your investment is protected by a 4-year tool and battery warranty. The cut performance and running time are the first two factors to consider when choosing a tool. The KIMO electric hedge trimmer can cut a wider hedge area at once. It's more practical for shape shaping and detail cutting with its 5/8-inch capacity. This will make you more efficient. KIMO tools give 25% longer runtime in one charge. It will be your most powerful beast. Since you'll be holding the tool at chest height or higher, weight and balance are important. You will also be using the tool with open arms. KIMO 6.8 pounds battery bush trimmer is a great choice. You won't find the same electric hedge trimmer that has enough power and a lighter body. The soft grip on the knife gives you a comfortable gripping area. If you wave it for half an hour, you won't be exhausted. If you've tried a corded electric hedge trimmer, you'll know that it's not portable, and that it's dangerous if the cord is cut while you're working. Their hedge trimmer is battery operated. The KIMO battery is more powerful than others because of the 1,000-Charging Cycle Test. Just a battery to start creating your own hedge. If you're looking for a safe and durable power tool, go with KIMO. The dual-switch makes you focus on the electric tool with your mind, while the tool is under control with both your hands. The one-handtrigger is less safe than the other two and it will be a danger for anyone who is getting tired, not only for his own safety but also for the hedge. The KIMO electric hedge trimmer has 1300rpm high speed and is quieter. You don't realize how loud the fast cut is. KIMO hedge trimmers produce low sound and low vibration, which will help you work longer without a burden. Being afraid of disturbing your family and neighbors during cutting will no longer be a problem. The dual-switch design is good for the elderly and women. 👤I bought this light weight Kimo Hedge Trimmer for my wife as a Christmas gift. I put the battery on charge after we opened the package. We decided to use the hedge trimmer on our plants. I'm very impressed with the lightweight and balance of the hedge trimmer. I like the safety of having two mechanisms to prevent accidents. I gave my wife a camera and began trimming my hedges. I had trimmed myself to a good length. I have never used a hedge trimmer. I found that the hedge trimmer was easy to use and had no problem trimming my hedge plants. I had a stroke in 2013). I have recovered well but still have some issues. I think the trimmer worked well and was easy to use. My wife found that she could handle it too. The battery was still strong despite being priced reasonable. We are very happy with our purchase. I made a video for this review. Skipjack is in Palatka, FL.
👤I was surprised by the battery life of the hedge trimmer. I have 2 rows of shrubs and they were cut with ease. I would buy again. After 7 months of use, the trimmer still trims well and the battery is adequate to do all the plants. The smallest leaf blower I have ever seen is the Kimo. I bought this trimmer for my sister. She had a corded unit before, and she likes how light it is. Shes is happy.
👤I bought the trimmer for small jobs in my backyard. I used it 3 times. It wouldn't work when I used it on July 17, 2021. I thought the battery had run out in the garage, but it wasn't. The battery indicator light is on. The light on the charger is green. Once the battery is fully charged, the red light will be on and the green light will be on. The battery is good and fully charged, but I can't turn it on when I plug it into the trimmer. The warranty lasts for 90 days. Today is 98. I'm SOL, so I'm outta luck. Too late to return it. Customer service apologized to me for the problem I had with the trimmer. They sent me a brand new trimmer, battery included, after I suggested that I only needed a replacement battery. The replacement battery proved that the original battery was a bad one, and not the trimmer. Yesterday I used the trimmer and it worked well. I'm happy with it. Customer service gets a good review. Thanks for everything.
👤I like the Kimo leaf blower a lot. I thought I would give it a try. I am very happy with it. I gave 5 stars for batter life. I only had it for two days, so take that for what it's worth. I like the fact that it's not an extension cord, which makes it superior to the one I have. I was looking forward to not having to get out the extension cord, but I find it easier to use without it. It is light and sturdy, which is appreciated for trimming above my head or behind a bush. I am very happy with my purchase. The quality of this product is better than the video.
The power source is battery powered. High performance corded hedge trimmer with 40V MAX Lithium-Ion for hedges, shrubs, and branches up to 34 in. The dual-action blade is Hardened steel and has reduced vibration while trimming. It is easy to operate with a wraparound auxiliary handle and integrated vibration reduction. The 40V MAX battery is replaceable and works with all other products.
👤This thing is disappointing and I always hate to leave less than 5 stars. I would've bought my neighbor a powerful beast for $26 more. The 2240 is cheap and chintzy. I thought I had not gotten a charger, but it was in the box and I almost threw it away. That's how cheap it is. The 2436 is strong. You should get the 2436. I would have liked to have seen my own review before ordering. I don't want to send it back. I may just do that and not suffer the joke of a trimmer.
👤Depending on which battery standard you choose, you can get either a corded or a wireless version of the hedge trimmer. The photos tell the story better than any text I can write. The old saying is that pictures are worth a thousand words. I was supposed to get the 60 Volt version, but my order was canceled. There is more to the 60 Volt version than just the battery size. It can cut through 112 inch branches, which is half the size of the 20 and 40 Volt versions. It's more expensive than the 40 Volt version and it's not as cheap. The 20 and 40 Volt trimmers have the same battery and motor windings. The cuter is the same as the 20 and 40 Volt version. I made photos and measured the spacing and it was the same cutter. The 20 Volt version is only about $15 cheaper than the 40 Volt version. The cutting blade is the same. The 40 and 20 watt versions can handle limbs. They have the same opening. The 40 Volt battery is larger than the 20 Volt battery. The 40 Volt version will last longer than the 20 Volt version because of the battery capacity. There is no contest. I've never run a battery down to trim my bushes. Even if I did, I have 10 more fully charged batteries lined up for backup. Unless you have at least eleven 20 Volt batteries, buy the 40 Volt version. If you want, you can buy the 20 Volt version without a battery. If I didn't already have a hedge trimmer, I would still purchase the 40 Volt version. If you're just starting out and have more money, go for the 60 Volt lineup. I used my first lawn mower from Black & Decker today and it was pretty good. I have a trimmer with a 60 Volt battery that didn't last long before it failed. It won't charge at all. Completely dead. Let's not forget the battery charger difference. The 40 Volt charger is a small one. There is a 60 Volt fast charge. It will charge both 60 and 20 batteries. It will not charge the batteries. Another vote for the 60 Volt version. It costs a lot more than the 40 Volt version. You have to make your own decisions with your wallet and future plans. I have given you the facts. What is best for you is up to you. Whatever you decide, you won't go wrong.
Hedge Trimmers come with a 20V battery pack and a 20V battery pack and a 20V battery pack and a 20V battery pack and a 20V battery pack and a 20V battery pack and a 20V battery pack and a 20V battery pack and a 20V battery pack The battery can be removed for easy re-charging. For about 1.5 hours, charge quickly. A hedge trimmer can run for about 60 minutes. There is a tip. All MZK batteries are compatible. The Greenworks Pro 60-Volt hedge trimmer has a fully charged 2.0 Ah battery that can provide up to 60 minutes of power. Laser cut steel blades. The cutting capacity is 1/3-in. The rear handle has a cushion over mold grip. Less than 11 lbs with no messy gas.
👤It's said that you can't buy happiness. This trimmer has never been used by someone who said that. I already have the batteries from our lawn mower, so this was a perfect addition to my lawn care tools. I replaced a corded model. I finished the job in half the time with the new one. The longer blade helps keep the lines straight. It's not necessary to haul power cords around the yard. By the end, I was happy. I used it for over an hour. The battery had 25% of its charge left after I trimmed 100 linear feet of bushes.
👤It was much lighter than the gas powered model, so it was easier to carry. Very surprised by the power, was able to cut through some bushes. I have used it several times and when I used the 2amp battery it was at 50%. I could not find a type of shoulder strap that I could find that you could use for any length of time. Not related to the tool itself but a dual battery charger would be great to have a fully charged battery on deck. Overall very happy with the purchase and recommend it.
👤The trimmer is great for shrubs and trees. It's perfect. It's easy to use and works with the batteries that already have them.
👤Improvements are meant to be better. I have had 3 of them. The others were taken. This incarnation doesn't have as much power. You need both hands to use the safety mechanism. I've always done clipping, but it stops me from doing it. I miss the previous model, but this one is really good.
👤The best hedgetrimmer. The fact that the battery is interchangeable with other tools is a plus. The battery lasts longer and the job is done in less time than before.
👤The hedge trimmer does a great job. I am 60 years old with a defribllator, and it was not heavy to me, and I could use this trimmer with ease. I now own a hedge trimmer, lawn mower, weed eater and leaf blower. I've never been so happy and worth it.
👤Brother has two batteries. He says it's better than my 40v B&D.
👤We use it to trim hedges. Not as heavy as you think.
Alterations to the Handgun HEIGHT: The height adjustment accommodates children as they grow. The battery of the hedge trimmer has a powerful 40V Ion battery. The hedge trimmer has 24 inch dual-action blades. Longer reach blades with a 1/3 inch cut capacity trim are more convenient for plants. Up to 6000 sq ft of hedges are trimmed per charge. Wrap-around front handle is used for vertical and horizontal trimming. The soft grip handle provides added comfort during use. The battery charge level is shown in the indicator. 40V is the maximum initial battery voltage. TheNominal voltage is 36.
👤This is the second review I have had. I gave it a 5 star rating. The switch went off. I couldn't get in touch with B&D. Their website was equally bad because their answering telephone robot said that they don't return phone calls. I contacted E-parts, who I was able to talk to, but they told me that they couldn't handle B&D parts and that I would have to deal with them directly. I am in a state of confusion. I have a lot of 40V B&D batteries that they generously supply with their products, but no way to fix the instrument without their assistance. I can't support the arrogance and incompetence exhibited by B&D, so I guess it would be in my best interest to order another.
👤This was purchased on July 23, 2017: It died on July 12th. I took it to the authorized service center because it was still under warranty. They said they don't service battery powered tools and gave me the address of a service center 10 miles away. I didn't pay to ship it there so it went to the trash. I will not be buying any B&D products in the future.
👤I got this a year ago. It was used to trim a hedge. It was used twice this summer on the same hedge. Each time worked well. It's easy to use and cut well. The 5th time it was used, it started struggling and the smoke started pouring out and it burnt out. Five uses and dead? It is not a disposable tool at $115. Excellent quality.
👤This was bought for a new house. Everything worked well until it started to smoke. This is a waste of money because it only lasts less than 2 1/2 years with 4 times usage a year. Black+Decker is one of the worst games in the world. I contacted Black+Decker again. I was told to contact Amazon. I contacted Amazon and was told to contact the manufacturer. I was confused at the end.
👤This trimmer is very impressive. I have three properties that need trimming. trimming and bagging for over 200 shrubs takes about 8 hours in one home. I have a weak shoulder and didn't want to use a gas powered trimmer. I decided on the Black & Decker after a lot of research. The number of sales and reviews are the main factors. I ordered an extra battery as I knew I would need the extra source of power and didn't want to wait. The initial battery lasted just over 60 minutes of continuous action, and the blades were sharp and handled holly bushes over 1/2 inch thick. After the first battery ran out, I put it on the charger and used the second battery to keep working. The second battery was used for over 60 minutes. I started bagging the clippings and ended up with about 15 bags of clippings. The batteries took about 2 hours to fully charge, but were ready by the time I finished bagging. I needed 3 batteries to finish the job. The trimmer was running at full power until the last 5 minutes or so, when you could tell that it was slowing down. The real deal for me was this trimmer. My nephew who does some trimming for two houses needs a new one, so I bought him one as well. I had to write a review because I was so impressed with this product. The Black & Decker is light, easily maneuvered and made quick work of shrubs beyond my expectation, which saved my shoulder. I used some Kevlar gloves to make sure my finger wasn't too close to the sharp blades. The real deal!
The POWERCOMMAND Family of tools helps solve common user problems when using outdoor power equipment. LB2X3020 20V is included with the LSTE523 20V MAX Cordless Trimmer/Edger. The MAX extended battery has a Charger, a Spool, and a Guard. A 20 watt max battery has power and runs longer. The dual action blade is 22 inches long. The branches can be cut up to 1/3 inches. You can work longer and complete the job with the ergonomics. The cutting strokes are part of the max system.
👤I recently upgraded all my black and decker tools to the newer 20v style with smaller batteries. I discovered something about this one that I really wanted when I looked at the different hedge trimmers. There is a button on top. I liked my last hedge trimmer. I gave it to my daughter in law who did not have one. When it got jammed, I had to stop and unjam it. I could work out the jam with the button. I was sold. The one I bought had a 20v battery and a charger. The battery was fully charged in less than two hours after I plugged it in. The batteries are small and the chargers are small. The light flashes while it's charging and then is a steady light when it's fully charged. I had to put the guard on. The instructions said that the screws were in the unit. It was hard to get out of the hole. I removed the screws and screwed them in the handle and guard, even though I was afraid of doing so. It only took me a few minutes. The weight balances out and the trimmer fits in my hands. I'm an older female. I had no problem using this tool. I tried it out this morning and it cut my bushes like butter. So easy! The 22" size is big enough that you can finish a job quickly but not so big that you can't round out bushes that need to be rounded. It was easy to work with. You can press the button to keep the blades from cutting if you push in a thing. If it works better for you if you are left or right handed, then it makes getting started easier. You don't have to turn it off because the button to release a jam is right on top. The button slows down the action so it can either cut through or allow you to move the trimmer. I don't have a lot to trim, and my battery didn't slow down while I was using it. I can't wait to trim again. A new toy. Paying a little more for the added feature is totally work. Thanks for reading my review, I was very happy with my purchase.
👤The 20V MAX series from Black & Decker has four tools in it. I'm starting to like it. It works as advertised. I trimmed my 5' bushes with ease, even cutting through some branches that were as thick as 1/2. It's simple to operate, and the battery lasts an hour. The grips are pretty comfortable, so you won't wear yourself out holding it. It feels strong and reliable. It makes as much noise as a regular hedge trimmer, and weighs the same. There isn't anything bad to say about it. The price I paid was fair. There are disagreements. I have no excuse to not trim the bushes.
👤I love this hedge trimmer. The hedges surround the front and side of the house. The trimmer did the entire job with one battery, and it cut through the toughest branches of my hedges. The PowerCut feature was great, I used it twice. I have the B & D 12" 3-in-1 Trimmer/Edger and Mower and wanted a third battery. I paid a little more for the trimmer because I got my third battery, but I think it's because the hedge trimmer comes with a battery. I hated pulling out the 100ft extension cord when I was using an electric trimmer. I just grabbed the B & D trimmer, popped a battery in it, and trimmed my hedges in less than an hour. The 22" blade was the perfect length for my reach across the top of the hedges, and the trimmer is light in weight, compared to what I'm used to. It was worth the cost.

👤I also have a heavier one. It cuts through stuff like crazy. I think it will last a long time. I love that my M18 tools interchange with the batteries. The battery life depends on the size battery you use. I use a 6 or 8 Amp hour battery on it and wear it out before the battery lasts. I had to charge it 3-4 times to get the same amount of work done. I use it to manage brush on my property. I have to keep cutting it back because they grow into the path during the summer.
👤This thing is very large. I ordered a 5 Amp battery. The tool works. I trimmed along a 330 foot fence line cutting Privet, Cedar, and small Water Oak trees and only used up one bar on the battery. It is bigger and heavier than I thought, and it will wear you out before the battery dies. It says it has a heavy duty bar of 24 inches. This is the way to go if you have a lot of trimming to do.
👤I wanted to clear the trails in the woods. I had a 9 ah battery. I bought the bare tool. One battery lasted the whole weekend. It ran through a mile and a half of trail. One cousin asked how many batteries the tool used, while sitting around with the family on Sunday. I said one. It still shows one bar on the test light. His jaw dropped. It will run for two hours and cut a few branches. It chews through briars like a monster if three in the teeth are present at the same time. It's very quiet compared to a gas unit. It was as loud as a sawzal. I lent it to a friend who was clearing his garden. I can't believe how nice it is.
👤I own M18 products and am a huge fan. The M18 line of products has been adopted by me and I haven't been disappointed yet. . The hedge trimmer is what you would expect from Milwaukee, it's a solid piece of equipment. It's nice to not have to wrangle the cord, and you can go anywhere much easier. . I use the M18, 12.0 battery to do our yard and get a lot of life. If you don't have a rapid charger yet, you can use it to charge the larger batteries. . There is a The blades on this are very sharp, so be careful when handling the tool and grabbing onto the blade with your bare hands. It has a scabbard that protects the blade. It has an open port in the back so you can hang it on a nail. . Highly recommended.
👤I like the Milwaukee tools. I have a lot of them, and they are some of the best. The hedge trimmer is not an exception. I tried another brand because this tool isn't something I'd use every day on the job, so I decided not to spend more on it. Mistake! I returned it and went for the Milwaukee because it didn't last an hour. What a change! It is running well and has more power and capacity. Way to go, Milwaukee! I received it in 2 days, which is better than the 2 1/2 weeks that another vendor promised.
