The temperature display is real-time. Hold Button can be held for up to 60 minutes. The temperature set button can be used for quick access to preset temperatures. The count-up timer makes it easy to keep track of the process. The neck spout is used for pour control. The length is 11.00 inch, the width is 7.00 inch and the height is 7.5 inch. 👤I bought this kettle with high hopes that it would improve my pour-overs. I took care of it and it pours very well. I kept it clean and only used it a couple of times a week. It refused to turn on for about a year and a half. I tried many outlets but nothing. I reached out to Bonavita to ask for help because I have been faithful to this kettle for about 1.5 years, and there is no reason that it should have stopped working so quickly. I was told that they wouldn't do anything to fix or replace it because it wasn't under warranty, even though the paperwork said it had a 2 year warranty. I invested a good bit of money in the item and I can't believe the customer service is so bad. I will not buy another item from this company. The company refused to help when it stopped working. Don't buy this product! There are many better options.
👤The Bonavita 1.0 L Digital Variable Temperature Gooseneck Kettle was reviewed in a video. I was forced to retire this item on December 24th, savesay purchased this November 11, 2012 and was forced to retire it on December 24th, savesay The kettle has good features such as a commercial rating and proven 5-year durability. Some plastic is inside the water-heating compartment.
👤In the winter it was used lightly and stored in the warmer months. It was a pleasure to use it. The kettle stopped boiling water. The water in it will no longer heat up. I used this unit for 2 years. Reached out to Bonavita customer service to inquire about purchasing a replacement base, but was told they don't sell the base separately. I thought it would last longer because of the cost. I paid more for a premium product and now I have another disposable appliance, I expected more from Bonavita, paid more for a premium product and now I have another disposable appliance. The ability to hold the water at a certain temperature was great for pour over coffee. The water is really hot. The cost is a cons. Durability. If the base fails after the warranty period, you'll be stuck with an electric kettle that can't heat the water and no replacement base to purchase. It is a nice kettle for pour over coffee if you don't mind replacing it every few years. It's the only one on the market where you can specify a target temperature and hold it there. You don't have many options if you need that feature. I can't justify the price to buy this item again, I hope it lasts longer than the last one.
👤The variable temperature setting of this kettle made it perfect for making cups of tea and Aeropress coffee. The kettle rust rings began to appear around the welding of the spout to the kettle and the plastic base around the bottom of the kettle about nine months into owning it. This has gotten worse as time has passed. The kettle sits in a small puddle of water that appears to be leaking from the seal between the plastic base and metal upper of the kettle. I would love for this company to reach out to me, but I wouldn't recommend this product. Poor materials, great design, great function.
The water can be quickly heated in about four minutes with the high-power rapid heating and three-dimensional heating mode. You can brew your favorite coffee with to-the-degree temperature control. To select the temp from the wide range, turn the dial. This is the kettle that you should use to get the typical aroma from different types of beans. Different types of tea need different temperatures. After reaching your desired temperature, the kettle will automatically hold it for 10 minutes, and you can extend the hold time to 120 minutes. The "Set Temp", "Real Temp", and "Stopwatch" are displayed on the large and sleek display. When your water is ready, the kettle has a ready tone. You can silence all the tones by pressing the button. The electric kettle has a long spout to make sure it pours and flows smoothly. A balanced body build and heat- resistant handle make pour more comfortable. There is no screw in the kettle housing that can cause rust. The inner kettle is made of 304 food-grade steel. There is no plastic or Silicon in the kettle. Once the water reaches your desired temperature, the kettle will automatically shut off. 1200w quickly heats up 0.8L water in 4 minutes. When water is boiling, the re-programmed heating method reduces the noise.
👤This is a Willsence product. I was very disappointed when I received this, as I had purchased it to replace a kettle that only lasted a few months. They gave me the run-around and did not honor the 2-year warranty on the previous product. They didn't have a replacement product or a way to give me a refund. It seems like a farce. They said I should try and have Amazon take care of it, even though it is outside the return window and not Amazon's responsibility. Willsence and its parent company are a bunch of crooks, but Amazon did help and it was appreciated. The reviews on the company are terrible. Don't buy if you're warned.
👤This product is not advertised because it has less features than what is photographed, the timer is preset and cannot be changed, and it doesn't look like an advertised product. It is not the one advertised.
👤The kettle has been in my possession for two weeks. I can't talk about longevity. The kettle is still very fast despite being a bit slower. It is ready when I am done grinding my beans. To shut it off, I pushed the ON button. If you hold the button down for 3 seconds it will start a timer. If you are trying to hold the temp at 205F or below, it has a temp hold button. It won't hold higher. It is difficult to get back on the base. You need to get it right. I think my old one had a funnel like edge to help. It's not a problem, it's just not as easy as my old one. I am happy with the way it looks. I tested the temp accuracy and it was very accurate. Hold the button to keep it at my temp. If I forgot to shut it off, it would be auto shut off. The Timer function is hard to return to base. When the kettle is not on the base, you can't do anything. If you want to turn it off or shut it down, you have to return the kettle to the base.
👤So far, so good. When changing the temperature, the knob doesn't feel cheap. It takes about 3 minutes to get to max temp. The sound can be silenced with a button and a timer. I like to pour my coffee and tea with the goose neck. Overall happy with the quality of it. Will update review if there is anything happening over the next 30 days.
👤The teapot came with marks. The box was not cheap and it was disappointing to open it to a flawed item. 12/18 The company reached out and sent me a new kettle. The customer is great.
👤I've been using this kettle for a month and I thought I'd leave my feedback. The product is what I wanted. A temperature controlled kettle. I drink more tea now that the kettle is able to warm the water to the right temperature. I only use RO water in this kettle, and I just pray it lives a long time to justify the cost. It looks nice on the counter, it doesn't take a lot of space, and it holds 27 ounces which is great for me. I brew tea for 1-2 people and sometimes I use it for instant noodles. I haven't used the temp hold feature because I don't see the point in using the extra energy when the kettle heats up so quickly. The chime is not loud enough to be heard from more than a few feet away, and the temp hold button is the same as the timer, so you can't use them both at the same time. I don't think it's enough to dock a star. Enjoy!
Your new pressure washer is covered by a limited warranty. Customer support is always available for the lifetime of the electric pressure washer. It was designed in California. This Cosori's Kettle has preset temperature. The preset allows you to never burn coffee or tea leaves again. It has a Keep Warm function that will keep water at the same temperature for 60 minutes. When the water reaches the preset temperature, the ready tone is turned off. If you don't want this alert. Press and hold "HOLD TEMP" for 8 seconds to turn on/off. The kettle is made with 100% food-grade STAINLESS steel in its housing, lid, and spout, which makes it the best kettle for coffee and tea. The optimal pour-over flow rate is designed by the COSORI's precision pour spout. The counterbalanced handle helps keep your pour steady and encourages a slower pour. Pair their coffee maker with their pour over coffee maker to get the perfect brew. The 1200 watt of power can boil a full kettle in just 3 minutes, meaning you can enjoy a cup of coffee in no time. You shouldn't be in front of the microwave or stove. The hot water is always on when the keep warm function is on. Safe tech and auto shut off. British STRIX thermostat technology shuts off after the water gets your desired temperature. If there is no water inside, it will turn off the boil-dry safety feature. The spout is leak-proof and can be used for a long time. The only place where this voltage applies is the USA and Canada.
👤The product quality and function seem to be good so far. Expectations are high because this is a relatively expensive pot. There is concern 1. The metal electrical connection at the base of the pot is exposed, and it consists of metal circles which mate with the plastic base. The connection should be kept dry according to the owner's manual. Other pots have a plastic-to-plastic connection which is a better design. There is concern 2. A lot of styrofoam is in this kettle. Please stop using it. There are cheaper alternatives, like recycled cardboard packing. Styrofoam is harmful to our oceans and marine life. It should be banned. The monthly allowance is 1 on the 2nd and 3rd of March. After each use and descale weekly, the instructions for this pot say dry. 2. The lid began to rust around the vent holes despite following instructions. A replacement lid began to rust. 3. The junction of the black outer coating and the inner "stainless" coating is starting to look ragged. 4. Brown spots have developed over the bottom of the pot despite following instructions. Mild abrasive pads do not remove them. I don't know if they are rust or not, but it looks like it. The spots are over the heating elements. I've owned many, but this is the highest maintenance pot I've ever owned. It is not necessary to simply boil the water. After a few weeks of use, rust and material degradation are showing up. The pot should last a long time. It won't. The build and material quality are very low. 2 stars.
👤I loved the kettle, until it rusted inside, and some of the black finish on the outside fell off. It's garbage now. I decided to go with another brand since COSORI has questionable quality. I've gone through three different brands of electric kettles and finally settled on this one. It has a nice design and good function. The temperature control is off, which is reasonable for the price. It pours easily, heats rapidly and consistently, and shuts off when it's supposed to. Can't really ask for more.
👤After using it for a week, no complaints have been made. The water is hot as stated. The buttons look like "touch screen" buttons. The inside looks to be made of steel. The handle and base of the kettle feel cool, so I would be okay placing this directly on my counter, but keep in mind that the kettle itself feels warm to the touch, so keep that in mind in terms of safety. The lid is secure. I don't have to worry about it falling off because I'm pouring every last drop. It was packaged well and had an extended 2-yr warranty upon registration. I did extensive research on kettles and thought this one was the best one that gave the most bang for my buck and looked beautiful on my kitchen counter.
👤The design is aesthetically pleasing and has a wide range of water temperatures for multiple uses. The paper filter has wet grounds around it. Disaster occurs when regular spouts hit the top rim of the filter. The button controls are easy to use, the balanced handle is easy to see, and the knob on the lid is cool to the touch. The water temp announcement was stopped after about third use. The blue lights on the control panel turn off when water is ready. The purchase price was well worth it.
The temperature control gooseneck kettles are safe and durable. Enjoy your health drinking, no plastic or chemical hazard, and food grade STAINLESS steel body. If there is a problem with the kettle, please contact them, they will provide a solution. The option to hold the heat for 30 minutes is available with the brew temperature. The flow rate settings and the gooseneck spout help you pour confidently. The on-lid brew-range thermometer shows the current water temperature to ensure you're within your preferred range. A sleek, compact design with a polished, stainless steel body is easy to clean. The 1 liter kettle is perfect for boiling small to large amounts of water, whether you're making a single cup of tea, or sharing your brew. The model KEK1032 has a Digital Kettle and a power base with cord storage.
👤Quality product works as advertised. The modern kitchen looks great. Pros: Looks nice, construction feels good, pour rate differences actually differ considerably, digital temperat, ure control as well as analogue thermometer, steel inner construction for the most part. The empty kettle is a bit heavier than expected, the pour spout is not very slender, and the thermometer rod on the lid might be annoying. It seems like a common question, so I've included a photo. I can see that it's all steel construction, except for the black rubber on the flow rate plate and the translucent rubber on the temperature control sensor. The low temperature of boiling water should not be of concern if it is good quality Silicone. If you don't want the black rubber, you can remove the flow rate adjustment completely, but the rubber ring around the sensor is there to prevent leaking, so it's likely and inevitable for auto temperature control kettles.
👤I have owned this kettle for a few weeks. The icons next to the buttons had been smeared. It was like frosting on a cake when I touched one of them. This flaw shows a lack of testing on kitchen aid's part. I have to know what buttons perform what function because the iconography on these buttons is necessary. It's ridiculous.
👤I am a novice coffee maker and have upgraded from my stove kettle. I bought it due to its name, the lack of reviews, and the fact that it was marked down to $40 on a sale here. Some thoughts after using a stovetop kettle. It starts at 60 degrees to a target of 200 degrees quicker than the stove top kettle. I was cranking up my stove. It feels like a long time. This feels like 3-6. It heats up to 200 degrees and doesn't miss the mark compared to my stove top kettle, and there's a setting to keep at 200. 2. The pour from this kettle is beautiful. The default pour is perfect for my needs. When you tip it slowly, it looks and feels very linear. The notch at the end of the kettle's spout helps it. 3. It is well engineered. The small padded footies below the kettle are something I enjoy. After I heat it, I put it on a cooling rack. The footies make me feel confident setting it on the counter. The top stays on. The temperature gauge is large. The build of my kettle is solid. It's good for coffee and tea.
👤This is my third full review, as this is the replacement of the first and significant testing. I uploaded two images. Amazon only loaded one of them last time. I loaded two. You could see the digital display and the temperature were different. This happened on the original and the replacement. The difference is the entire pour over range. That's what you mean by precision. I wanted to be able to choose what temperature I wanted. How do you make that happen with instruments that disagree? As it turns out, the answer is patience. It's still off, but not by much. I think you have a thermocouple in the base, and that's what's happening. It is about half an inch tall. You have an instrument in your possession. It's about 1.5 inches short of the bottom of the kettle. The temperature in the bottom of the water is read by the thermocouple and the top is read by the analog. Maybe it's more accurate in the long run and the base is what's wrong. It's hard to say since my meat thermometer reads a degree lower than the analog. It's not unusual for an analogue to take a bit, but as a home beer maker and former cook, I've used a lot of analogues, and this one is slow to begin with, so it took a while to arrive at my next conclusion. If you keep it warm for about 5 minutes, the hot water will rise inside the keetle, and the cold will fall, causing heat to come back on a few times. That is not good enough, and the temperature is off by 1-2 C. You said it was precise. Which one is correct? The precision instrument is off by almost 5 degrees because America cooks in F. That's a lot for something where the temperature can change the flavor of the coffee and the pace of the drip. Kitchen aid should think about making a commercial version which is accurate and can be adjusted. It's not much for precision. How do you expect precision when there's nothing here? "Simply pour with precision" is what the box says. So the pour is not the temperature? I'm glad this happened before we pulled the lever on the mixer. I might end up returning this as inaccurate, or I might learn to deal with it's limitations. It costs Amazon or kitchen aid to ship out a second one because they are unable to provide the support I just did. That's sad in and of itself.
The large handle stays cool to the touch and the easy open lid makes it easy to fill up at the sink. You can choose from 6 preset temperatures to get the best teas, coffees, or simply boil cooking water. Black Tea, Instant Cocoa, Oatmeal, Noodles, and more can be boiled. The Strix temperature control of the water kettle ensures an accurate operation and the Keep Warm option keeps the water warm for 30 minutes. The kettle is made from food safe materials and is suitable for preparing infant meals. There are 6 temperature selections. It is easy to control the Electric kettle with the neatly arranged touch panel integrated into the thermally insulated handle. 1500W for quicker boiling. 7 L in less than 8 minutes and safe valuable time; boil-dry protection shuts off electric kettle when there is no water inside.
👤If the kettle is set to boil, it will never stop.
👤The kettle is not warm. It won't heat all the way. I don't think it's a good idea.
👤I would not give this 5 stars and not return it if the lid hadn't opened consistently. This is an annoyance that we use a lot. I would say that on average 15% of the time I would try to open the lid with the button. I don't know if you need to press down harder or more to the edge. It seems to open more successfully when pressed on the base.
👤If you want to keep the water warm, you have to pick the temperature you want again, even if you take the kettle off the stand. If you want one of the higher temperatures, you have to press the button 5 times. If you take the kettle off the stand, you have to start over again. It was very upsetting. I wouldn't recommend it.
👤This product is very good. It came in a fast delivery and works well. I use it to heat my baby's milk and oats.
👤I like the fact that I can change the temperature of the water before starting it. The outside is not insulated, so it gets very hot, and can burn you if you are not careful. I use it at home to be safe around students, but I will have to watch my grand babies when they visit.
👤It works so far. It takes a lot of power. If you use the Keep it warm button, it will keep the water hot if you don't pour it after you boiled it. Imagine it boiling the water several times. If you poured it, it wouldn't boil itself. If the water is boiled, you can use other lower temperatures functions.
The built-in STRIX supports safe operation of the kettle with a 2-year warranty and 24h online service. A pour over pot, a control base, a glass dripper, a MOOSUM wooden bracket, and a non-woven storage box are included in the small electric gift set. You can switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius in one kettle. The world leader in kettle controls is from Britain. The temperature control accuracy is +-1C, not only a coffee kettle, but also an electric tea kettle. The electric kettle will enter the WARM Mode when the water reaches your desired temperature. There are five more haiku. The electric kettle gooseneck has an exclusive design to eliminate water residuals.
👤The design of the kettle bundle is gorgeous. The water temperature is very accurate. The curved spout pours the water at the correct rate. The wooden design of the kettle handle makes it look very stylish and matches the wooden base. The kettle package in this good price has a big bonus about it, the dripper set. They are light and strong. It looks gorgeous in almost any kitchen style. I am very happy with this purchase.
👤I have to drink hot water. The electric kettle is very important to me. The product has a glass cup for us to use. It could be used to have tea or coffee. I like their appearance. You will not regret getting one.
👤The packaging is very high-end, open, and surprise me, the quality is very good, the water is boiling quickly, and you can set any temperature you want.
👤I bought an electric kettle for my husband. He likes drinking tea and coffee. It is very hot. The water temperature can be controlled. The electric kettle will enter the warm water when it reaches my desired temperature.
There was a push-butt. The electric kettle has a push-button lid. The 1.7-liter electric kettle has 1500-Watts for fast heat up and a concealed heating element to prevent mineral build up. There is a scale filter and boil-dry protection. One touch controls, 30-minute keep warm option, stay-cool nonslip handle, and a 360- degree power base are all included in the custom control. The kettle can be off the base for 2 minutes without shutting off or losing its place in the brew process. There are preset heat settings for steeping tea that include blue indicator lights and a water window. Refer to the user manual for questions surrounding warranty policies and the product is free.
👤The top ranked tea kettle in several consumer tests is the one from Cuisinart. That caught my attention. It was almost double the price of the well-designed Miroco MI-EK001. Both have the same 1.7 liter capacity. I was interested in the Miroco but didn't buy it until after I bought the Cuisinart. I bought it as well. I had previously compared the Hamilton Beach 41020 to the Cuisinart but found it to be not as good as I had thought. The highest quality appliances should be priced fairly, reliable and also of long term value. There is aspoiler alert! Can the Miroco compete at half the price? Remarkable. Its features are not the same. Depending on your household's priorities, the Cuisinart offers small convenience advantages. Both designs are similar, but not identical. The Miroco is heavier when it's empty but not when it's filled with water. The Miroco has a pop up lid with buttons for opening and closing. The Moroco may be easier to fill for those with less pouring dexterity because both models have plenty of filling room. For better balance with the Cuisinart I have to choke up on it's handle with my fingers over the temp controls but this has never been a problem. I thought the handle of the Miroco might be uncomfortable. I prefer the Cuisinart's slightly more bulbous handle since I have medium sized hands. The ergonomics of the handle on the Miroco is a small advantage. This was a pleasant surprise. One big difference between the Hamilton Beach and the Cuisinart was cheaper workmanship. No so with the Moroco. It was beautiful, smooth and solid. Both brands are built to high standards. Both of them have the same fill windows that turn a pleasant blue. The Microco shows cups as well as liters, while the Cuisinart only shows liters. The Miroco is a bit easier to read. The lid designs are different, but I prefer the open button from Cuisinart. You can't open the lid at the same time as holding the handle for the Miroco. The two kettles have virtually the same features. The design approaches are different in the photo. You can hold the temp for another 30 minutes with the feature on both of them. What is different between the two brands? The keep warm feature can be turned off either before or after the brew. The keep warm button must be pressed manually if the default is off. The default design of the Cuisinart is to be on automatically, which is why I prefer it. When I wake up, I usually brew a cup of green tea at 175 degrees and wait for my wife to join me. Everything is ready to go. We will pour water for our daughter later. All can be poured at the same temperature. If you don't need a second cup, you might prefer the Miroco approach. It is easy to turn on its keep warm feature. One advantage we really like is the memory feature. If you take the kettle off the base, you can return it to the base within a couple of minutes. The tea kettle is completely shut off when the Miroco is removed and returned to the base. This could be a disadvantage for some. To get back to the settings to hold the kettle for 30 minutes longer, you need a few quick button presses. You just need to remember. Both of them have 1500 watt power and have terrific, fast speed far exceeding stovetop kettles or microwave heating. The boiling point for a full 1.7 liter pot was in 7:03:02. The Miroco took a while. This is not a significant difference in everyday usage, but the Cuisinart is slightly faster. For 24 ounces, the Cuisinart finished in 3:31 and for 16 ounces, it was done in 2:32. The Miroco was close by. All around quick. At the green tea setting of 175 degrees, the Cuisinart took just 2:22 for 24 ounces, and 1:40 for 16 ounces. The Miroco had 24 ounces and 16 ounces. The pots are well insulated. The water inside is still hot even after an hour or two. If the Moroco is initially set to boil, a full hour after it is turned off, the Cuisinart is slightly cooler at 167. Depending on how much water is inside, each can be brought back to a boil in a minute or two. Both brands are ready to pour when they hit the boiling point. It is likely that you will care about consistency at different temperatures and keep warm when buying a versatile temp variable kettle like these. Chinese green teas are best brew between 170 and 180, while delicate Japanese Senchas are best brew between 10 degrees cooler. When I used the 175 degree setting for green tea, I used a Thermapen instant read thermometer and learned the Cuisinart was at 176 degrees. Excellent performance indeed! The Miroco was 182 degrees for the same test, but quickly dropped to 170s. As soon as the water hits your cup, it will cool a bit more. The performance of the Miroco was better than the Hamilton Beach clone I reviewed earlier. Is it possible to use keep warm feature? Once temp is reached, each kettle will be put to sleep. A sensor kicks in and turns on the kettle for a short time. Both brands used the keep warm setting. Although Cuisinart has a three-year warranty, many reviewers here complain that it can be difficult to get warranty service and that the units sometimes go out before the warranty has expired. The buyer has to pay for shipping both ways. The Assurant extended warranty cost me $4 more. Most warranties of this type only kick in after the manufacturer's warranty ends. Keeping fingers crossed! We own four small kitchen appliances and have never needed warranty service. My original food processor works great after 30 years. Several reviews state that the number markings can rub off in time. This is not a concern with the design of Miroco. Miroco has an 18-month warranty and an 18-month extension. Both of these machines are five star machines. We have two things at our main home and a vacation home. There are three things that differentiate the differences between Cuisinart and Miroco. The keep warm feature can be turned on with the Miroco. There are two more If the kettle is removed, the keep warm temp setting can be remembered in two minutes. There are 3 more If those features are important to some, the Cuisinart is a well known brand name with a long term track record. The first link compares the Cuisinart CPK 17 to the Hamilton Beach 41020. It's a good kettle that most would be happy with, but I don't think it's in the same league as the other kettles. Next, there's a link to the Miroco MI-EK001 discussed in the review.
Rejuvenate yourself with the purest taste of every beverage with the 304stainless steel tea kettle. The kettle has a limited warranty and lifetime technical support. The handle surface touch screen design has an exclusive technological sense. White line lights will flash around the screen when the tea kettle is on, as if a human is breathing. The high-grade matt appearance, the cutting spout, and the swan neck make it easy to achieve 90 vertical water discharge, evenly circled, confident and accurate control of the speed, flow, direction of the water flow. They will replace the small electric kettle for free if it has any quality problems. From the handle, you can read the "set temperature" and "real-time temperature". You can brew coffee and tea at a temperature range from 122F to 212F with the gooseneck electric kettle. When the kettle is set, it will maintain the desired temperature for 30 minutes. The anti-scalding design inside the handle of the electric tea kettle with temperature control can prevent you from being burnt during use, and the unique wide handle can be very suitable for human hands to grasp. The electric kettle has a professional spout. There is a leak-proof design. The water can be quickly heated in about four minutes with the high-power rapid heating and three-dimensional heating mode.
👤I wanted to take the time to address some of the bad reviews that had me worried, and I am absolutely loving this. 1. The kettle doesn't spill water from the lid. The kettle's spout needs to be tilted so that it doesn't start at the bottom. The lid won't be able to handle it if it's tilted too far. The electrical element is at the center of the bottom and it's hard to get wet. 2. It doesn't pit quickly. If you have hard water, you will have a build up. It ends up looking like pitting because of where the heating element is. The water will disappear if you put it in the pot. 3. It's easy to access the preset. One of the buttons starts you at 120F and you have to click until you're at the temperature you want, the other button will show the preset and then it will repeat. I didn't measure the temperature to see if it was accurate, but I have found which preset works for my purpose and I'm very happy with the results. The fact that the temperature stays the same for 30 minutes has been convenient. It saves me a lot of time. The kettle is not insulated, but it still holds the temperature. endurance is the only thing left to test. I've been using it for a while now and it's doing well. I highly recommend this purchase.
👤I spent a year looking at different kettles and settled on this one because of its built in digital temperature gauge and temperature flexibility. I wanted to get back into tea as a hobby and try out the low temperature tea, Yerba mate. Most of the competitors can't change the temperature or plastic touch the boiling water or steam. I didn't want to risk having a new plastic taste in or around my hot beverages or breaking after a few years as all plastic will do after heated and cooled repeatedly. A brand new kitchen temperature is within a couple degrees of the accurate one. I've only splashed it a couple of times, but it seems to be water resistant. I like being able to experiment with different brew temperatures by setting them down to the degree. This is the only model that had this feature and a few preset temperatures. Couldn't be happier with it. It's helped me transition from drinking mostly soda to drinking coffee and tea.
👤I would like to state that I adore this kettle. I've been using it every day since I got it and it makes my morning tea easy to drink. I want to address some comments about getting burned, rust, and the temperature controls. It's going to get hot, it's a metal tea pot. Do not touch the metal tea kettle after it has been boiling water. The instructions tell you how to clean and prevent rust. The people didn't read the directions. If you read the directions, the temperature controls work great. It's not possible to stop it from boiling when you set it to the temp you want it to be. It will stop if you take it off the base. It's worth every cent to me, I love this kettle.
There is a crayon-colored extension. The exterior of a kitchen is stylish. I wonder if the issue of rusting has anything to do with the water quality or softness of the water? Our water is hard, I believe, as I live in Memphis. Several friends have purchased a kettle based on its performance and clean lines, because we love the kettle.
👤I would give this product zero stars. I gave 2 of them away as gifts. I thought it would be great. The "temperature feature" doesn't work. The sensor is rusty. It has happened to both of them. Don't spend your money on something that isn't worth anything. I want my money back, but unfortunately this happened after the returnable date. I'm stuck with overpriced trash.
👤The button that opens the lid is hard to use. You have to press down the button to open the lid, as the button fails over a short period of time. It's almost like you have to hit it with a hammer. You must pay for return shipping according to the warranty. Buy a kettle that is better.
👤After about 2 months, a new rust spot on the metal heating plate was developed of the second Bodum, a replacement for the fist one. Will contact Amazon customer service if this product is faulty. Bodum will let the company know about it.
👤The water should not be used categorically. It is not clear why manufacturers don't use non-corrosive metal if there are so many complaints.
👤Excellent! The previous version needed improvement. The handle is comfortable to hold. It is nice to adjust the temperature. I don't use it often. It is very fast in boiling water. I have tried other electric kettles, but they were slower.
👤This is the best electric kettle we've ever owned. It's nice, it's cool to the touch, and it's warm to the touch. I would definitely recommend it.
👤The water is designed nicely. Very pleased with the product. Would recommend.
👤Poorly constructed. The clasp is difficult to catch. The temp control is great, but it doesn't address the lid issue. Returned without a problem.
👤I've owned a dozen kettles and this one is my favorite. I like the lower temp settings. The handle is light. A well designed kettle. Very happy with the purchase.
👤The top is wide for easy cleaning. It was a year ago that I had mine and it was still beautiful and easy to use.
👤After 24 months, the electronics in the base started to die. I decided to get a stovetop kettle that is relatively immune to planned obsolescence. YMMV.
👤The lid broke after a week and it's not working because of the red button.

👤If you understand that there is a 10* F error in the temperature reading, plus it heats 20* F over your selected temp, then it works, but I have to set the temperature 30* below what I want. I want to brew my tea at 185. I set the temp to 155. The temperature jumps within a second or two to 175* and then falls 10* lower than the actual temperature, which I measured with 2 separate, more accurate thermometers. 155* on the kettle is 185*. I would expect something better for the money. Maybe you should keep looking.

👤I said a good thing in the beginning. The temperature control is not stable after a week. The small neck makes it hard to clean. It was disappointing for later service. Don't get help. The shop isn't worthy of being trusted. Be careful! I want to return and get my money back.
