👤The string is rotten at 4 months. The cover is not damaged. It would be a great buy for a few dollars. I had to replace the string and now write this review to protect others, which I really don't want to do. I want to protect others. Someone messed up. The company made a generous refund offer, but I am not that type of customer, so I am not going to accept it. They have mentioned that they will improve their product. Hopefully, they will replace the strings with nylon. I can't ask for more. Good people to deal with. Give them a try.
👤The cover is heavy duty and works well for the price. I kept it because it was in a place that wouldn't be an issue and I had a small hole in it. I think it was good quality for the price, and the hole was probably a result of packaging or shipping. The writing is not on the cover as seen in the picture. It was all gray. I thought that might be why the price was so good, but it wasn't. Good cover for money.
👤I ordered this cover because I realized I had left the cover for the outboard inside. This product isn't "HEAVY DUTY". This cover is a lightweight non-fitted rectangular bag with a very lightweight draw sting. The lightweight draw string is sewn tightly and cannot be used to tighten the bag without pulling the bag manually around the string as you carefully pull... it wont last a winter season, even with tender care... The bag is being marketed for more than $5. If it weren't locked up, I would pass on the maker of my other cover, which is much heavier, fitted, and has heavy duty elastic sewn in.
👤The cover is well made. I have a 70 HP outboard and I ordered the size I wanted. It is too big to cover the motor. It was difficult to cinch the bottom of the motor and I am afraid that wasp will still build a nest. It does a good job of keeping out the rain and dirt. The size 70 - 90 HP would fit better.
👤The cover for my 70hp engine was very large and I ordered it. The next smaller size was smaller than the engine dimensions, so it appears there is a size in between that would be better, but it doesn't exist. The string is very slick, which causes it to slip through the button. Maybe this will resolve itself after the newness wears off. It seems to be a reasonable thickness. I will be keeping it, but I can't give it a higher rating because it is an average.
👤This is the second cover for my motor. The first one lasted five years, which was longer than I thought it would be. I bought a new one to replace it. There's another five years to go.
👤I own a 70hp outboard 2-stroke. It's much bigger than I expected. The pull cord to tighten down the bottom is weak, and you can only get it to tighten a quarter of the way before it gets bound up from the cover material. It does work, but it should have two pull cords on each side. I wrap a bungee cord around it.
Most newer model index boats are compatible. The power center has external battery terminals that can be accessed without opening the box. It protects your battery on a small boat, transom application, and boats that do not have battery compartments. The push button battery meter has a display of the current state of charge. There are two accessory plugs. A resettable circuit breaker is connected to the top. A resettable circuit breaker is connected to two accessory ports. The ring terminals are inside the battery.
👤The case I bought had a 60amp circuit breaker. A new Minn Kota 55lb thrust trolling motor and a speed controller were put up. I used it for the first time for less than 2 hours and it took me a while to get my speed controller working again. The cable was moving around because the nut on the positive connection on the bottom side of the lid fell off. The problem is that the connection on the bake side of the lid is hidden by a piece of plastic that can't be removed so you can't see the connection to know it has fallen off. If you can't maintain the connection, it shouldn't come apart. Good luck with this battery case.
👤Make sure you tighten all the connections. The power center has all the connections to your battery. Remove the internal cover and you will see all the connections. The power center cover would run hot and the motor would randomly stop working. I realized I could remove the cover and get to everything I wanted.
👤I don't know what I'm getting, but I just click and buy whenever I can, and hope for the best. This box is of the highest quality. I didn't think it would have so many features. It has a battery indicator. I still use a green digital readout volt meter as a useful tool for someone else that may need it. There are two internal breaker's, a 60amp motor and a 10amp accessory. If you have any electrical knowledge, you can modify this box to fit your needs. I use it to run my boat's electrical and trolling motor. I have two side led lighting switches and one switch for two other lights and two 120v ac outlets. It's convenient if I ever need it. I hope this helps people. Thanks.
👤Walmart group 29 Everstart is fine. Group 24 and 27 only. Maybe the Walmart is smaller than other brands. The black plastic clips and screws are used to hold the strap in place after you unbuckle it. The screws were too long and I was worried they would bore holes in the battery over time. I used screws. The power outlets have cigarette lighter sized plugs. You should give up your keys and stop shopping if you complain that it doesn't come with a battery.
👤It worked well for me. A battery container is a little expensive. I realized the time savings and the cost was worth it. The box seems to be a higher quality one than the other ones I've seen. The power posts are nice. I can run my radio or use jumpers without having to unbuckle the box. I used a group 24 Interstate Deep Cycle Marine battery and it fit just fine, although the box is a little longer than the battery by about 3 inches. It was a blessing that it gave me a place to put extra wiring and tools. The tacoma has a Renogy 100w solar panel on it. The box was put into the bed of the truck.
There is a detailed picture description on the product details page. Measure the product before buying to make sure it's the right size. Thank you. This electric motor has 55lb thrust and is great for any boater. The motor can run all day without overheating or making noise, thanks to high quality components. Features: The motor has a fiberglass shaft, 10 battery meters, a 6 inch telescopic handle, and a 30 degree head. The tilt, mount, height, angle, and direction can all be locked into place when needed. Speed: The motor has 8 speeds, 5 forward and 3 reverse. The top speed of the motor is about 4mph, but it depends on a number of factors. The motor of the boat has great low end Torque thanks to the 3 blade propeller. ATTERY: 50ah is recommended for the X Series motor, which requires a 12V Lead-Acid or Deep Cycle battery. The motor has a 50amp circuit breaker which is recommended at all times. Max Amp Draw: 52A. Newport Vessels is based in California and has a full in-house customer service team. BUY IN CONFIDENCE. The Newport motors are made from high quality steel, magnesium, and zinc and are resistant to fresh water and salt water environments. Customer service and a 2 year warranty are what they stand behind.
👤The motor ruined our trip. First time using it. For 30 seconds, ran in forward. After 10 minutes of moving the throttle back and forth forward, reverse stopped and never worked again. It was a few days out of the way. Return period. I need to get warranty support. I might just throw it away and buy something that is reliable. One motor has failed badly when you are on the water because you cannot trust an unreliable one. Put in a claim with Newport. They sent out a new motor that day. They did the right thing. I'll review the motor's performance when I get it.
👤I decided to purchase this motor because I had never heard of it. I couldn't find any negative reviews. I bought one. I've used it many times and like it. I put it on the stern of my jon boat and use a group 27 battery to power it. I've used it for 4-5 hours and it hasn't killed the battery. Time will tell how well it holds up. I use it in a mixture of freshwater and salt.
👤I received my motor on Wednesday and can not leave a review on it. Didn't bother with it until Friday because of work time. I noticed that the box had a butterfly style mounting screws on one side. Don't care about the motor's scuffs. All looked to be packaged with styrofoam. My issue is that it's incomplete. I don't have the mounting hardware to mount the prop. The inside of the prop is a little battered up, and it was used and returned. I'm going to email Newport vessels to see what they can do for me. I was going to have my boat in the water all weekend and use the motor. The motor seems to work as expected after I put power to it.
👤I have nothing else to compare it to because the person who wrote this review only owned a Minn Kota C30 I think it is the same quality as my old motor. I can't tell you much until I have a chance to take this out on the water. I remember my C30 wasn't very fast. It was fine for a small fishing kayak, but I wanted a bigger one. This 55lb. is 8 lbs heavier than my old 30lb. A review on YouTube that compared it to a small gas motor when put in 5th gear influenced my decision the most. I looked at the Minn Kota Traxxis 55 when I was shopping. That is important to a person who is in a boat. I don't think I'd be able to pay another $100 for the Minn Kota with a 2 year warranty. For less money, the quality is similar.
👤I like the tilt handle and don't like the noise. The jump to 5 is huge and Speed 4 seems to be about 60%. The blue battery indicator light will illuminate if you are in the dark. I had to put something over it. Maybe 3 stars. You can use the reverse head on the bow. The 55lb Minn Kota one will work on the 55lb Newport.
The product is 17 x 12 x 10 inches and is compatible with Group 24 and 27 batteries. The solid 10-position lever lock brackets feature a quick-release lever lock and reinforced material that resists flexing, warping, and UV damage. The six-inch Telescoping Tiller is a great way to get easy, comfortable, intuitive operation of your trolly motor. Five speed settings for forward and three for reverse are included. Extra power is delivered to push throw heavy vegetation with this prop. There is a prop pin, nut and washer. The Minn Kota trolling motor has an indestructible shaft at its core. They guarantee it for life.
👤The headline was meant to be about the minimum power for the small boat application. I have it hooked to a Sun Dolphin boat. My calculation was that more power was not needed. I need those lower speeds for things. I need to make sure that I can get back in, less paddle, when I go out. The deal is here. The thing isn't a power hog. This is a wet year. Having to stay on the water all the time has been a test for me. I haven't pulled out the battery yet. If you have a 14ft boat, this engine is adequate. If you're on a budget, you don't need to break the bank. It is perfect for my purposes. The thing tilts. I have fought with those releases. Not so on the MinnKota Endura Transom Mount. I have never seen a smooth one. The reverse is not perfect. Don't run it from the back of the boat. Ain't happening. I don't know if the blades are pitched right or not, but the reverse really froths the water without giving much. It will back you out of the shallows, but not for full time use. It works like you want it to. About the handle. I put my motor in the back because I was worried about steering. You know, twisting around. The extension handle made it easy to pull out a lot or a little. I think I might like it better now that it's on the air. One heads up. If you plan on putting a transducer on the foot, be aware that it won't fit as the foot is too short. To get my transducer near to vertical, I put it against the fin and put rubber pads on the edge of it. The depth finder works just fine. No harm was done. Anything that won't rot could be used. For instance, your wife's Tupperware. You will also like my MinnKota Endura Transom Mount Trolling Motor. If you have a small boat, grab one. You will be thanked by me.
👤Works well! Make sure you put an inline fuse on the hot wire. The motor will be saved. I used a 30amp. I got caught in a weed bed. I burned up the motor after it blew the fuse.
👤Can't wait to get on the water after hooking it up to my kayak.
👤The power of stealth for my Sundolphin 2. Even with a load of dive tanks, moves it with ease. After a month of serious abuse, it was still going strong after being rammed into the rocks.
👤It is easy to install and run this motor. I put it on the Seahawk 2 and Seahawk 4. The Endura C2 30 has plenty of power for my max load application, which is me and 3 kids in a big boat, a total of 700 lbs, with the motor, battery, people, and fishing gear. I juice it with an Everstart marine battery with 750MCA, and we can go for around 3 or 4 hours at speed 3, and still have 50 percent left on the battery. It has a nice kick when clicked into speed 5. The Minn Kota has quality at every turn. It has easy controls, including click speed control, tilt shaft, depth control, and steering lock/tightening. I can't hear the motor running. My eight year old is carrying it. The only thing I can say is to upgrade the battery connection. It has a terminal end that can be used to bolt on the battery. I like a plug style one so I can easily remove the motor from the battery box. For my rig, the terminal end may work for others. The Minn Kota Endura C2 30lb is a great motor, and the price is right.
Arrival within 15 days. Sierra Part # 18-7350 should be replaced. The Johnson or Evinrude outboards have a 6hp-15hp 1992-Older and 8hp 1992-Older. The package includes a fuel pump and gasoline. It's better to be installed by professionals. They will reply to your questions in 24 hours. They will reply to your questions in 24 hours.
👤My husband needed a part for his boat. He did not want to drive 120 miles to get one.
The frame has a black paint finish. It is a fit for Johnson Evinrude 6, 8, 9.9 and 15 HP. Sierra: 18-7350 and Mallory: 9-35350. It's better to be installed by professionals. They will reply to your questions in 24 hours. They will reply to your questions in 24 hours.
👤I paid a shop $250 to tune up my boat and they returned it leaking fuel. I was saved from getting hosed by them again because of this part.
👤I ordered a complete fuel pump for my outboard. The item will arrive in original packaging but it will be damaged. The box was undamaged, but the fuel pump was damaged. The outlet hose nipple was broken off and the threads in the center screw hole that holds the inlet nipple were not tightened.
👤There is a slightly different fuel output orientation. See the pics. The long fuel hose made the new configuration. The original bolts were too short according to other reviews, but I have Johnson seahorse Fired up, it works well.
👤My local shop was selling a perfect replacement part for a lot more. It's easy to install with no modification. Mother is running perfect.
👤I haven't installed it yet. I had to get new 10-24 screws that were longer to fit my Johnson 4hp seahorse. It looks good. Don't know if it works yet.
👤The gasket surfaces were not flat, which caused the fuel to leak. I had to disassemble the product and clean the surfaces. I was able to use the product after it was reassembled and installed.
👤I would have given it 5 stars the day I installed it, but I wait a bit to do reviews. I had to replace it because it stopped working, but it worked for one and one half trips.
The battery ports are safe and easy to connect to the motor or accessory. The circuit breakers are integrated with 10 Amp and 60 Amp circuit breakers. The directusb charger and accessory port is a convenient way to connect various DC accessories. The product is 17 x 12 x 10 inches and is compatible with Group 24 and 27 batteries.
👤I have had this product for about a year and I must now completely echo reviews like kTosTIUGA's on 6 17 2017: Exactly the same thing happened to me, all the way to melted plastic and stripped terminals. The terminals were heated up by using it with a motor. Just like KTos, the wing nuts stopped functioning and the connector just spun around inside the plastic, 6 months ago. I could only run it at lower speeds when it cut out and died after a few minutes. I smelled plastic and the wing nut terminals melted out of the case. I opened the electronics/wire compartment and it seemed fine, except the main terminal connections were melted plastic and the connections were useless. I don't have any problems with the motor when it's run directly from the battery. This is a dangerous product and can cause a fire on the boat or damage your trolly motor. I never used all the gizmo connections, but I was afraid to plug my phone in for fear of damage after using the main terminal.
👤I decided to build a solar generator, looked at individual power components and bare battery boxes and decided for the cost and features of the Newport vessels, it would be easy to build. There is plenty of room for a small charge controller and 600 watt pure sine wave inverter to be put in the box. The build quality and output features on this box are top of the line. The box is portable and easy to carry with the large carry handle. The last solar generator I built took four hours to build, and it looked less than nice. This box is a great deal.
👤This is the second box I have returned. Other buyers have reported that the first one had faulty terminals. The one I got did not fit my battery. It began to rust before it saw the ocean. A customer service representative said that I was making it all up and was spreading false rumors about telephone conversations I had with Newport Vessels. I had a 55 pound motor that failed on their maiden voyage. Be careful. The company sells cheap and unreliable products.
👤The terminal post on the replacement pulled out one week after receiving the replacement. The product is pretty. I can't ignore reality. The design is for a product that won't get bumped or moved around. I don't know what caused the damage. I pulled a wire. The terminal posts aren't securely attached. There should be a large backing plate inside the housing. I was debating about making an update. The product is too fragile to be of service to me. Terminal posts are attached to large cables that can get bumped or pulled when placed in a location for easy access, and I am not gentle with my equipment. We have to do that to be able to use the features. I don't recommend this product. I have only been frustrated by it. The design needs to be updated to securely mount the posts. The cables should be secure enough to be able to be pulled. It is a matter of time before they are pulled out. I am a fisherman andDurability is a key factor. This product is not good enough for me, and is not worth repairing. I don't expect another replacement and I won't ask for one. My education and loss. My motto is to get the best and forget the rest. Everyone can read my earlier report. I am proud to update my status and brag that I have what I want. I was unable to submit my claim because the terminal post came lose on my battery box. I posted my original review after I realized I had exhausted the resources available to replace the box. Newport vessels monitored customer reviews. They were very concerned when they saw my review, and they wanted it to be a lot more positive. Their intervention to maintain their reputation is worth 5 stars in my opinion. That is important to me. The difficulty that I had trying to claim a return/exchange is not the norm. I was invited to call on the telephone by someone from Newport Vessels. I was routed to a real person who said that he wanted to help, but I could tell that he had some reservations. He was careful to not make any promises until he verified the facts. The trolly motor smart battery cases have a full year of manufacturer warranty. He was convinced after I verified the date of my purchase and sent him some pictures. He was committed to customer satisfaction. He made it easy for me to give the information. I submitted my receipt after filling out a claim form. I received a new case within a week. I offered to send my damaged case back in his excellent quality, heavy duty shipping container if he would provide a return label and pay for shipping. He didn't want it. This is the kind of case that I want for my battery. It does an excellent job of protecting my battery, and it provides features that are beyond what is expected in a battery box. I like the built in tester. The amount of charge in my batteries can be quickly checked. I love the fact that I can charge my phone while on the lake, and I also love the fact that I can plug my phone into the charging port. When I bought the box, I didn't even consider one more feature. It's built in circuit breakers. My auxiliary posts are routed through a push button circuit breaker, and I used it a lot. The features are located on top of the box. I don't recommend this power center. The product is innovative, modern, stylish and practical, it's backed by a manufacturer that cares about their reputation. After I gave up on filing a claim for the loss, they reached out and contacted me. I don't see why they wouldn't do the same for you. I hope you don't need that service. We deserve that kind of commitment to our customers. Look at the feature photos that sold me on the purchase. The pictures show off the quality. They sell me on customer satisfaction guarantees. My initial report is below. It has not changed in any way. I know that I'm satisfied now. As of March 2017: I immediately put my marine battery into it. There are a couple issues with this case. There are accessory posts attached to the top of the box. They are not strong. I don't know what happened to mine, but I didn't do anything to damage it. My topside posts are not connected. The terminal post turned and came away from the case after a short connection. The cable is not accessible. I thought I might be able to fix it. I can't remove the protective plastic cover because I can't access the wiring inside the lid. I have problems using them. Sometimes the connection is good enough to start the motor, and other times, I have to remove the top and move it to an angle to get the current flow. The test meter only says that the charge is low when I try to use it. It says low even when it is fully charged. I want to replace it with something that has terminal posts. I will probably try to tear the protective plastic cover apart to get access. Try to find something with better quality. I guess it needs to be more durable to give access to make repairs. I think you will love this piece of equipment. Good luck. I hope my information helped you make an informed decision. "Get the best and forget the rest!"
The equivalent part number is BHBJOML01. The Sierra Part # 18-7350 should be replaced with part number: 388685. Johnson Evinrude Marine has 6hp 8hp . The Seahorse was powered by the Engine 1981-1992. 👤I couldn't use the originals because the longer screws that mount the pump to the motor were the wrong thread and I needed to get new fuel lines and gasket around the filter. The old pump had to be salvaged to make the new one work. It eventually got working. I expected better quality for a new part.
👤The unit works fine but it was different from my original part for the Evinrude light twin. I had to change the spark plug harness because this pump is taller than the one I use. The included mounting screws appeared to be metric. I used alternative screws for my application. It's a functional alternative for the price point.
👤I replaced the fuel pump on my 8HP. Evinrude E8 RCOB outboard. The additional screws that were purchased were 10-24 thread and 1 3/4" long. I had to buy longer fuel hoses because the fuel pump's direction was 90 degrees off my original. The motor runs great once these modifications are complete. Even with the additional purchases, it was still cheaper than an original equipment fuel pump.
👤It was easy to install a new pump. Old fuel lines were an inch short so I had to buy a new one. My motor is new and running well.
👤The replacement fuel pump was slightly larger. I had to purchase a piece of fuel line to connect the fuel outlet on the pump to the one on the other side. The fuel pump was not attached to the engine because the screws weren't long enough. The engine won't run for more than a few seconds because I had to purchase these items. Not happy with the purchase. The engine needs to be repaired.
👤The plastic cover retainer screw is stripped out of the threads. The inlet size is not the same as the original. The pump is thicker than the original and comes with screws, but they aren't standard and won't fit. I ordered this for the Evinrude. Purchase the factory brand. Not happy with the product.
👤It was used on the Johnson 4hp. The hoses are close to the original, but different. There is no test drive yet.
It was made in the USA. Lifetime warranty. The Watersnake Saltwater Electric Outboard Motor is the lightest in its class, weighing in at just over five pounds. Watersnake has a simple design that keeps the weight down. It's comparable. It is the ideal motor to use on inflatable boats. The battery is not included. The design includes a 24” shaft, mount fitting and anti-impact clip system. The easy to steer motor uses a hand tiller with an extendable handle, high and low speed control, forward and reverse switch, and two blade weedless propeller design. The electric motor has 18 lbs thrust. The kayak mount is included. There is a guarantee of success. Necessity is the mother of invention. The creation was made by anglers to be used by them. If you don't like your Watersnake Electric Motor, contact your distributor. There is a guarantee of success. Necessity is the mother of invention. The creation was made by anglers to be used by them. If you don't like your Watersnake Electric Motor, contact your distributor.
👤The motor is working. The long bolt that secures the brackets to the base keeps coming loose. The bolt loosens and the motor leaps forward. I have to hold the thing back with my right hand because it is mounted on the right side. This is not acceptable. I can't seem to find a way to communicate with Watersnake about the issue, but I think a lockwasher might be able to resolve it. The concept and design is easy to install. I will revise this review to 5 stars if it turns out that a part is missing or I'm doing something wrong. The Wilderness Systems Tarpon 100 fishing kayak should work with this unit. There is an update. The vendor seems to have no interest in resolving my problem. They told me to contact them outside of Amazon so they could provide illustrations which Amazon does not allow. I contacted them but they didn't reply in a few days. I said that. I gave my phone and email after they said I should. There is still no answer. I called the phone number they said I should call. When I described my problem, the woman on the phone said another person handles Amazon. I left my contact with her to give to him. There is still no reply. I got a message from Amazon that said "I've been out of town on business" I left my contact info when I called the number a week ago, and still no reply. I give up. I would go to zero if I could, but I am reducing my rating to one star. This is not a good one. There was an update on July 12. The vendor gave me a refund after I was asked to change my rating. I'm changing it to 2 because of that. If you get a model that has a clamps on it, it should be fine. I bought a larger model with a different vendor and it works great. I will review it.
👤I own a 13' aluminum canoe and I wanted this motor to work. I wanted the motor on the canoe to cruise along the bank to cast. I put the included mount on a flat section of the bow and aligned the motor to the mount so everything was square and straight. When I got to the lake, I slid the motor into the mount and adjusted it so it was below the water's surface. The motor came out of the water when I turned the motor on low speed. I tried to tighten the bolt as much as I could. The motor moved on the shaft. The motor shaft still crept in the mount. The mount is flimsy. There is a lot of movement in the motor shaft and the mount is prone to loosen. I am disappointed in the product and I really wanted this to work. I will look for alternatives when I return it.
👤I got the optional kayak accessory. The products, seller, and delivery are all great. The seller, Innovative Procurement, is exceptional as I called them with some questions and they were able to deliver quickly. The motor is made in Australia and is great for a kayak. The optional brackets are what I like the most about the rest of the review. The bracket is innovative and allows easy removal of motor, swing it up/down, and fine tune for optimal position and most efficient power. There are a couple things to note. I got the second version of the brackets, which uses teeth to help reduce sliding, but the pictures/videos currently show the older one, so don't be surprised when you get the newer one. The metal jack beam rod is hard to push into the swivel initially, but loosens over time, so it helps to soap it.

👤It works great for the first use and no one has complained. Better than any drill pump I've used before. It got a little warm. I took a break before I finished.
👤I was able to suck out all the fluid and fill it fresh because I got this to do a Boxster differential service. This helped me do the transfer case fluid on my car. The alligator clips have wires that are poor quality and soft, and the shielding on the alligator clips is loose. I was able to shut the pump off by bending the wire because the soldering was so bad, but now it's supposed to work. I took the cover off, rewiring everything, and put a good butt plug on the wiring to connect the pump to the motor. If you do more than 2 quarts you'll be there all day if you touch the pump.
👤I used this for my boat engine. The leads are too short. I used jumper cables to increase the length. The engine was started and the oil was warmed up. I tried to use one of the supplied hoses. That didn't work out well. I went to a large box supply store and bought some tubing and a female hose accessory. Pushed the new tubing onto the pump and hose and screwed it onto the dipstick pipe. It worked out great. All the oil was out in a few minutes. You use a drill, but beats those pumps.
👤I used to pump out generator oil from this pump. Remove the black plastic plugs before using. They are the same color as the pump and the intake plug. You won't be able to pump because the outlet hose won't screw on. The black and red wires are not very long and have not alleviated stress on the motor. I had to sell my first one. Two quarts of oil can be pumped from the pump in about minutes. A time saver. I like to use it. I can't figure out how to use it. I put it in the dipstick tube and remove the fill cap, but it can't get any air. Not sure what to do.
👤I thought it would be bigger, but I was surprised at how small it was. I am happy that it is as small as it is. Do you test it with a battery first, as mine had water or something in it, possibly for seal preservation? I filled up my transfer case after clearing out all the liquid from shipping. It's much nicer than using an old hand pump. The price was right and the function is great.
👤The first issue I had was that the jumper cables are only about 6 inches long, so if your dip stick is on the opposite side of the battery you won't be able to pull the oil. If the battery and dip stick are on the same side of the engine, this is fine. I put more wire into the jumper cables. The pump is very slow. It took about 15 minutes to get 3 and half quarts.

👤I bought a starter to convert my Evinrude to an electric start. It worked and fit perfectly. Can't wait to see it on the water.
👤The fit for my boat was perfect. Thanks!
👤I give this 4 stars because they don't have a rating that indicates the part is great but I don't know because it didn't fix my problem. The motor in my outboard is better than the one in this one. The motor won't start from the electric start after replacing it. I have not figured it out yet. My motor starts well after a quick pull of the start line. The electric start option has not cost me any more money. Maybe next summer! If the motor was the problem, it would be the fix.
👤The product fits my 1979 Johnson 9.9 perfectly.
👤It seems like a great product. I was interested in fixing the electric start on mine after Buddy bought one. The battery was new to me. I checked my switch, which was not working. The starter worked after the switch was disconnected, the battery was connected, and the wires were tapped together. It's a great price on an important part for an engine that is fast becoming obsolete, so a spare may be in order.
👤Excellent quality and works well.
