No tools are required for installation or removal. The safety yard is being replaced. The kill switch lanyard is bright red, coiled, woven nylon coated and has a loop style clip at the stop switch end. The stop switch lanyard is attached to the boat driver/operator. High quality. The lanyard for the engine safety kill stop switch is made of high quality plastic, nylon, and aluminum. The new stop switch has a safety tether. The design was improved to improve durability. There is a replacement part for 8M0092849, 15920T54, 15920A54, and 15920Q54. Most Mercury Mercruiser Boat Engine has this boat engine motor. Brand new design for professionals. The clip is made of aluminum alloy. The design is coiled. 6” coiled and stretched is close to 39” and has a snap hook to prevent tangles. You can buy it with confidence. They offer a 24 month warranty. They are always here to support you if you have any other questions about their safety lanyard kill switch Cord. You can buy it with confidence.
👤I own a bass boat. The kill switch is about 8 inches from the life jacket. After a couple of uses it is stretched out to 10 inches, which is fine for me. The cord seems strong enough to flip the kill switch if I get thrown out of the boat. They are not a life line to keep me from falling out of a deer stand. I had doubts about the overall length of the cord after seeing it. I was able to stretch them out to about 35 inches for grins. It was straining. It wouldn't be very comfortable to stretch them out to 36 inches, and I would think that would cause the kill switch to go off. I wouldn't consider these past 18 inches to be useful. If you want to stretch out the coil, then you should get some braided wire instead of stretching them.
👤I bought this lanyard because it looks similar to the one that came with my boat. The red one was stretched out because of its age. The orange one is more eye-catching. I like the carabiner clip on it. The clip on the original one was difficult to attach to the life jacket. This lanyard is very safe.
👤I am not the only one who went to Amazon to find a new tether cord when the one they had was broken. The plastic hook clip snapped after just a few uses, however the cord has great elasticity and looks oem. The issue seems to be cheap plastic.
👤The clip broke when it was attaching it to my pfd. I don't think the engine kill switch part will be strong enough to pull the switch. This thing is useless except for being in compliance with the USCG and hope it never has to be used.
👤Poor quality. The snap ring broke after 3 fishing trips. Poor quality should have caused this to happen. Very disappointed.
👤The product description says the lanyard is 36” long, but it is not fully stretched out. It is only 7” long in its relaxed state. I couldn't hold the steering wheel without pulling the lanyard out of the kill switch because of the tension in the coil. The wrist strap I bought was used with the lanyard. The kill switch can be reached from the right side of the steering wheel.
👤I realized it isn't short after hiking it. It's perfect where I stand to run my big tiller.
👤I never used it, but it was ready to use if the law man pulled me over. The clip fell apart when I touched it. Don't waste your time on this POS!
If you don't like their outboard motor carts, you can get their very penny back. The kayak shaft has a fiberglass shaft that allows for variable depth placement. Variable speed is 8 speeds with 5 forwards and 3 reverses. TheTelescoping Handle puts you in total control of your ride. The aluminum motor head is durable and has zinc, magnesium, and STAINLESS-Steel hardware for saltwater use. Extra long cables allow for different battery placement.
👤The troling motor is amazing. I built my own transom mount for my sit on top kayak, and it works like a dream. We went fishing for 5 hours on the lake, and then went around the water. I put a 100 Amp hour battery in my kayak, it looked like a motor boat on the water, on setting 1 it looked like a fish prowler. This thing is up to my expectations. You can't go wrong with this.
👤I returned the motor because it was too heavy for installing to the side of the kayak, and I went with a transom mount instead. I wish I had bought this motor for my canoe instead of the Watersnake brand because it doesn't need the shaft cut. Although it may seem trivial, I like that this motor comes in grey even though it's saltwater rated. I decided to buy the Newport Vessels NV Series motor again because my original kayak motor died on me, so I didn't want to waste time and money returning it for warranty service. I made it 888-282-0465 as you can see from the pics, I made it 888-282-0465. It's very quiet and fast. I fished for 5 hours, covering about 4 miles, with the last 2 miles returning to the launch at full speed. I have two small 35AH batteries in parallel and had 70% charge left when I got home and put the batteries on a charger, so this motor is really light on the juice. It's fine on the stern despite my initial impression that it was too heavy for a kayak. The batteries are stowed in the bow compartment so they don't weigh as much. The Bullnose Rudder provides a big improvement in tracking and turning. It's nice to just use it as a rudder to steer when drifting. The motor works well and looks good. I'm going to buy the same motor for my canoe as well as the 36-lb version for other smaller kayaks.
👤The Newport vessels are 55 lbs. The Lifetime Sport Fisher kayak has a trolling motor. It is mounted to the kayak using a Lifetime kayak mount. The Newport Vessels trolling motor is powered by a 114-amp hour Everstart Maxx deep cycle marine battery and can troll for hours on the slower speed settings. The battery range goes down considerably at speeds of 4-5. It doesn't feel flimsy because it's quite heavy. I usually take it out on the bay. The Sport Fisher tracks like a battleship and I installed a Bullnose rudder to improve tracking. I would trade stability for speed on any day of the week. I wouldn't put too much faith in the display on the handle. The Minn Kota Power Center battery box has a battery meter on it. I have never run out of juice when I start with a fully charged battery. After taking it out four times, I noticed that the motor was not in reverse. I had to go to the Newport Vessels website to get product support. I received an email asking me to file a warranty claim. The customer service and warranty department is second to none. Newport Vessels took care of me after I sent them proof of purchase, pictures of the motor, and a description of the problem. This type of confidence in their products and outstanding customer service is rare in today's market. Newport Vessels has earned a lifetime customer and restored my faith in them.
There is aOUR GUARANTEE - if you are dissatisfied with an item, you can return it for a full refund or 12-month service support. Now is the time to order. Simple operation of portable and small oil pumps can be done quickly and easily, they are widely used in motorcycles, Car, scooters, Boat, quad bikes, trucks, Ship, forklifts, Marine, Power generation machinery, and so on. Safe operation The oil pump can't draw any liquid that could cause accidents, except for engine oil and diesel. To avoid oil solidification, heat the car engine to 104 F-140 F (40C-60C) for 15 minutes. You only need to open the switch to start the oil pumping work, and the DC 12V 80W has enough power to do it. ACCESSORIES & PRECAUTIONS. The oil pump has a lot of stuff. Positive and negative poles and lock hose lock should be used before use. The power of the pump is limited. Don't connect other extension tubes. There is a warning. This product is not suitable for petrol. If there is a problem with this oil pump, please contact customer service in time, and you will get a satisfactory result. There is a warning. This product is not suitable for petrol. If there is a problem with this oil pump, please contact customer service in time, and you will get a satisfactory result.
👤I only gave it a 4 star rating because I had to jiggle the power cord to get the pump to work. Excellent Chinese quality control must be what it is. It takes 10 minutes to pump oil. If you put the tube completely to the bottom of the dipstick tube, it will make it hard to get a good look at it. The price of an oil change would make it worth it even if the pump only worked one time. Dealerships drain the oil and suck it out.
👤It is ok. It is noisy for the size. The biggest problem is that the tubing is too flimsy, so it takes longer to transfer the oil. Had to buy some tubing.
👤The 2010 Dodge Grand caravan didn't work. The hose was stopped when it was touching the top of the oil level. Maybe it was a bend in the dipstick tube. I'm still giving it five stars because it has good suction power, even though it was only at the top of the oil level, it was still trying to pull oil through the tube. It's a good value and it's easy to use. I'll be using it for motorcycles, lawn mower oil changes, and a power washer.
👤The only way to change the transmission fluid in your vehicle is to go to the dealer. I did it my way through the dipstick. I got every bit out, but I couldn't. A gallon and a 1/2 out of the transmissions. The pump worked great, even though I paid a little more for it, and when I put the tube in the empty container, it was so strong of a pressure that I turned it on. You needed to change your transmission fluid oil and it was excellent. This pump is recommended by me.
👤I drained the transmission oil from my car. I had a car battery in my garage that I charged the night before. The first tube was put into the fill hole of my T56 and the second tube was put into the Mobile 1 ATF fluid quart bottles. I let it cool down for 10 minutes after the second bottle so it wouldn't get too warm. It worked just fine and with good speed. I didn't have to use a hand pump, so I wasn't going to complain.
👤I should have gotten one a long time ago. The oil on the outdoor equipment was changed quickly. I ran the engine oil off of the riding mower battery and it pumped quickly, even though I didn't warm it up. I needed a small push mower and the transfer pump has smaller extension hoses that I needed. I hope it lasts.
👤The pump was really good. Enough strength to extract engine oil in less than 10 minutes. The plastic pipe is easy to collapse under vacuum. If oil is still hot, it's worse. I rated this stuff by 4 out of 5 because I had to buy a stronger tube.
After the sale. The warranty period is 6 months. You can contact their customer service if you have a problem during your use. Smooth forward and reverse. Pulling the lever back from neutral can engage the reverse gear. The lever will be moved about 32 and the engine will continue to run. The engine will begin to accelerate if the control lever is moved farther to open the throttle. The control cable insulation has high-temperature resistance and remarkable color coding. There is a 10-core plug to the harness. The long cord facilitates remote power use. The emergency lanyard cord is made of high quality material and provides security. The lanyard lord is extendable and flexible, the premium plastic ring clip is used to insert into the flameout switch, and the metal buckle hook is to connect with the operator. The outboard remote control is practical and stable. There is a control lever for smooth reverse and forward, as well as various accessories that can be used to complete the work efficiently. The Yamaha outboard can be actuated by a remote control lever, which is compatible with the remote boat throttle control. It is used in boats to control them at ease.
👤The product was packaged well and looks great. I'm sure it would work, but it doesn't fit Mercury or my 1985 90 HP 6 cylinder Two Stroke. I took away one star because of this. It would work great on a Yamaha motor.
👤It plugged up and worked great.
👤It is easy to install and works well.
👤I bought 2 from the same seller, one was good and the other was bad, I have sent the seller several emails, but they have yet to reply.
👤Saved a lot of green getting and arrived quickly. The new keys work very well. It looks and feels like an original.
👤This is not for a evinrude motor. Don't believe the listing.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact them by email, they will solve it for you in the first time! The Watersnake Saltwater Electric Outboard Motor is the lightest in its class, weighing in at just over five pounds. Watersnake has a simple design that keeps the weight down. It's comparable. 👤I was forced to wait to try out the Watersnake T18s motor because of the floods in South Carolina. I rigged a mount on my kayak. Adding an Ever start deep cycle marine battery. I bought groceries at Walmart for $76. The battery weighs 46 lbs. The first test run was in the water, so I wouldn't have to worry about the currents in the rivers. I ran for 3 hours most of the time. The phone's gps showed my speed was between 3.5 and 4.5 MPH. The low speed was 2.5 to 3.5 MPH with an 8 to 10 MPH wind. After high tide in a wide part of the river current, my second run was lower than the first one, but it was still 3.5 to 4.5 mph slower. I was able to maintain a 4.5 MPH average even against a strong current after running 2.5 miles in the upper Ashley River. The 4th run took place in Charleston Harbor and the Atlantic side of Sullivan's Island. Slow speed and stops at beaches/islands for a total of about 5 hours ran just under 14 of the time. There is a The Watersnake did better than I had expected. It takes seconds to hook up and so far it seems reliable. I have 250 lbs. The battery is 46 lbs and the fishing gear is a little slower than I can paddle. It's just a plus, up to 5.5 mph with the right conditions. I could see what the motor would do because of the constant running of the motor. Not normal while fishing. I have never discharged the battery more than 1/3. The first run had the battery level above 12. The Watersnake allows me greater range and I don't have to worry about paddling home against shifting tides just when the fish start biting. You have to register any kayak/canoe with any type of motor in some states. The entire process in South Carolina took about 10 minutes.
👤I took out this motor for the first time today and it was great, I have a 15 foot Pelican canoe and it scooted along. It's only 18# thrust but it's light to carry and great in a pond or small lake but not sure if enough power is available in a big lake. It appears that the quality is good for the price.
👤I bought this thing for my inflatable float tube because it is so small that it fits in between my seat and left pontoon. That is without modification. I put my arm on it and went past harbor patrol without being noticed. The output is perfect. I just leave the prop straight and steer with my fins. The battery consumption is a good thing. This unit has a small battery. It is kind of ridiculous. I have a street bike battery that lasts a good 2 to 2.5 hours. It's enough to get to most of the fishing spots in the harbor. It is a great value.
The product is 17 x 12 x 10 inches and is compatible with Group 24 and 27 batteries. The solid 10-position lever lock brackets feature a quick-release lever lock and reinforced material that resists flexing, warping, and UV damage. The six-inch Telescoping Tiller is a great way to get easy, comfortable, intuitive operation of your trolly motor. Five speed settings for forward and three for reverse are included. Extra power is delivered to push throw heavy vegetation with this prop. There is a prop pin, nut and washer. The Minn Kota trolling motor has an indestructible shaft at its core. They guarantee it for life.
👤The headline was meant to be about the minimum power for the small boat application. I have it hooked to a Sun Dolphin boat. My calculation was that more power was not needed. I need those lower speeds for things. I need to make sure that I can get back in, less paddle, when I go out. The deal is here. The thing isn't a power hog. This is a wet year. Having to stay on the water all the time has been a test for me. I haven't pulled out the battery yet. If you have a 14ft boat, this engine is adequate. If you're on a budget, you don't need to break the bank. It is perfect for my purposes. The thing tilts. I have fought with those releases. Not so on the MinnKota Endura Transom Mount. I have never seen a smooth one. The reverse is not perfect. Don't run it from the back of the boat. Ain't happening. I don't know if the blades are pitched right or not, but the reverse really froths the water without giving much. It will back you out of the shallows, but not for full time use. It works like you want it to. About the handle. I put my motor in the back because I was worried about steering. You know, twisting around. The extension handle made it easy to pull out a lot or a little. I think I might like it better now that it's on the air. One heads up. If you plan on putting a transducer on the foot, be aware that it won't fit as the foot is too short. To get my transducer near to vertical, I put it against the fin and put rubber pads on the edge of it. The depth finder works just fine. No harm was done. Anything that won't rot could be used. For instance, your wife's Tupperware. You will also like my MinnKota Endura Transom Mount Trolling Motor. If you have a small boat, grab one. You will be thanked by me.
👤Works well! Make sure you put an inline fuse on the hot wire. The motor will be saved. I used a 30amp. I got caught in a weed bed. I burned up the motor after it blew the fuse.
👤Can't wait to get on the water after hooking it up to my kayak.
👤The power of stealth for my Sundolphin 2. Even with a load of dive tanks, moves it with ease. After a month of serious abuse, it was still going strong after being rammed into the rocks.
👤It is easy to install and run this motor. I put it on the Seahawk 2 and Seahawk 4. The Endura C2 30 has plenty of power for my max load application, which is me and 3 kids in a big boat, a total of 700 lbs, with the motor, battery, people, and fishing gear. I juice it with an Everstart marine battery with 750MCA, and we can go for around 3 or 4 hours at speed 3, and still have 50 percent left on the battery. It has a nice kick when clicked into speed 5. The Minn Kota has quality at every turn. It has easy controls, including click speed control, tilt shaft, depth control, and steering lock/tightening. I can't hear the motor running. My eight year old is carrying it. The only thing I can say is to upgrade the battery connection. It has a terminal end that can be used to bolt on the battery. I like a plug style one so I can easily remove the motor from the battery box. For my rig, the terminal end may work for others. The Minn Kota Endura C2 30lb is a great motor, and the price is right.
The Yamaha 703 Premium Side Control Push 10P Keychoke part is compatible with YAMAHA outboards. Contact them if you want to check compatible guides. LIFETIME technical support from us! The harness has a key and neutral protection switch. The cord facilitates power use. The emergency lanyard cord is made of high quality material and provides security. The lanyard lord is extendable and flexible, the snap hook is to connect with the operator, and the buckle hook is used to insert into the flameout switch, preventing the operator falling or leaving the helm. The outboard remote control is practical and stable. There is a neutral lock lever, neutral throttle lever, friction adjustment knob, trim and tilt switch, a control lever for smooth reverse and forward, and various accessories to complete the work efficiently. The Evinrude/Johnson outboard is compatible with the remote boat throttle control, which can be actuated by a remote control lever. It is used in boats to control them at ease.
👤I have had this installed for a couple of months. It worked great until last weekend when I used the trim switch to lift my engine up, but the button fell apart, and the engine wouldn't start until I cut the wires. The bleeder screw on my boat was malfunctioning, so I tried to get the motor down. I had to cut the lines to get it down. The aftermarket throttle saved me a few hundred bucks. I have to get my trim motor fixed and then I have to buy another controller.
👤It looks good, but when it was time to start the motor the plastic ignition inside was broken and the control was malfunctioning. The factory tightened the ignition nut and cracked the threaded shaft. The whole ignition fell apart when it was turned on. I have to disassemble it and send it back. Not happy with the controller.
👤Since I have had Amazon for a long time, this is the first review I have written. After a couple trips, it was great but after a while, it was hard to keep everything in this thing. The motor came out of the water after the trim switch cracked on me and I was able to shut it off in time to avoid major damage. I can take this thing apart in my sleep.
👤It was broken when it was in the box. The trim button only works when the kill switch is broken. The whole thing is made of plastic. They won't replace it or give a refund that is horrible. I'm so disappointed that Amazon doesn't do business with this seller.
👤The controls arrived quickly. The colors matched my 1988 evinrude perfectly and the wiring was easy. It works perfectly. I'm very pleased with the operation.
👤It didn't fit my purpose so I sent it back. My money is never refunds. I should have kept the receipt from the post office with the tracking number that they requested. I had to eat $200.
👤The key safety break away clip broke after about 5 minutes of being on. The plastic is brittle. I had to crank it with a piece of angle iron.
👤It was broken and looked like it had been returned. It was sent back.
The streamline shape is narrow. Control is quick and precise. The thrust for the plane has been improved. There is mounting hardware included.
👤If you want to call it that, let's start. I had to visit the manufacturer's site to see which rubber went where. I have to go to the hardware store to get the bolts I need because you can't send them with the correct length. The instructions state that once the rubber washers are crushed, they are correct. The fender washers recommend. One has a washer and the other doesn't try to crush it, so that's what I show you in my picture. The supplied screws/bolts don't go through the nylon portion of the lock nut, which means it's not acting as a lock nut. Simple fix send instructions and longer screws.
👤This product made the boat plane quicker and easier, and I couldn't believe it. I was not sure if the product would work or if it was a scam. It works well for me. The difference is amazing. I have it on a boat that is probably too long. The bow would rise up to an extreme angle before the boat started to fly. The boat is planing at 2000rpm now, and the bow is raising less. This is what I needed.
👤I own a Four Winns 278 Vista that weighs around 8200 lbs. It took forever to get on top of the water. My boat gets on quickly since I put the new hydrofoil on my outdrive. My Volvo Penta duo prop is a good fit for my outdrive. I had to drill holes in my fins for the bolt on application. I'm very happy with my purchase.
👤It was received on time and in good condition. I ordered the gray item as described. The installation began after I unboxed my item. There were already holes drilled for one when it was installed. Bolts for my installation were too short. The Johnson GT 150 will be replaced with longer cap bolts and new nylocks, and it will look great. The motor was trimmed once on the plane. The porpoising problem that is very uncomfortable to keep the boat on plane is better trimmed, turned, and removed. To see how long it took the plane to come. The boat cruises at 3000rpm on the plane. It makes looking for fishing spots and reading depth finder more enjoyable. While bouncing around. The boat is in the water. I am very pleased with the performance of this product and the added safety that comes with it. I have all day to get there if it was lost. If you have nose too high, porpoising at high speed, and slow tuning responses, you have these issues. You should have bought one already. Purchase one and enjoy your day on the lake.
👤It took about 30 minutes to install. Measure three times and drill once. There is a little bit of play if you are off a little. My boat used to plan out at 15-20 MPH, with a steep bow angle out of the hole. The angle is less after I install the hydrofoil and I am planning on going around 5mph less. There is no noticeable difference to top end at 42 MPH+. It is very cost effective to improve over expensive trim tabs. YMMV I would recommend trying this first. I own a 2004 Glastron 183CC with a 2009 Suzuki.
The metal-gear housing has increased reliability. The motor mount kit is for inflatable boats. You can attach up to 3.5-hprs. Made of plywood with aluminum support arms. Attaches and detaches quickly. Most newer model index boats are compatible.
👤It was very easy to put together. It seems good for the excursion 5 boat. The electric trolly motor I bought should fit perfectly. Everything came with it. Would recommend!
👤It's easy to install, but first time is awkward, but after you get the feel for it, it's no problem. Also, note: It does work as intended, however I noticed that my motor was too strong and would pull on the mount causing the plastic mount to be pulled up. I drilled my own holes on the mount and now it doesn't pull at all.
👤I finally tried the motor mount. It fit perfectly on my Excursion 4. Everything was included for the assembly. The assembly is straight forward. Bolts with nuts are provided for securing the boat. I think I will replace them with hitch pins. It's important for my inflatable raft to inflate to almost completely inflated, then install the mount, and finish inflating after. It helps.
👤One nut was missing. I contacted them. I was asked to fill out a missing parts report online with a copy of the receipt. I did that. No one came back to me. The report had incomplete requirements, but it was too late as the warranty had expired. This is the worst customer service ever. Don't buy. You should throw your money in the toilet.
👤It was purchased just days before an outing in a lake that prohibits gas engines. There is an inflatable on top of it. Assembly and installation is easy. There were no problems with the Minn Kota motor. The transom was stable at all 5 speeds. Instructions were not needed for the assembly and install.
👤It holds a 2.5hp outboard. It is easy to install and mount.
👤The price on Amazon was great. It arrived a day earlier than expected. I decided to install longer upper support rods to better fit the weight of the motor after watching videos of suggestions.
👤The deal was great but the first day use was broke.
👤It looks like the pictures when put together. We got a Seagull outboard that worked and we couldn't wait to try it out. We have an Intex Seahawk 2 dinghy. It's made of light tubing and plastic. It arrived quickly as well. Very happy with it.
👤Good construction. I have a Honda that comes in under the max recommended weight and power on an Intex mariner 3. The motor is low in the water when upright.
👤I thought I was buying a molded plastic one, it was wooden and it fit my boat, but I didn't read the reviews, so I got the one I got, it seems to be made of quality materials, and it works well. You could probably make one very easy. I wish I had.
👤The mount is good. It's easy to put together and fits my dinghy.
👤The intex motor and excursion 5 can be used. It works well. The grooves could be cut so that they lock in with the intex motor mount grooves.
Most newer model index boats are compatible. The power center has external battery terminals that can be accessed without opening the box. It protects your battery on a small boat, transom application, and boats that do not have battery compartments. The push button battery meter has a display of the current state of charge. There are two accessory plugs. A resettable circuit breaker is connected to the top. A resettable circuit breaker is connected to two accessory ports. The ring terminals are inside the battery.
👤The case I bought had a 60amp circuit breaker. A new Minn Kota 55lb thrust trolling motor and a speed controller were put up. I used it for the first time for less than 2 hours and it took me a while to get my speed controller working again. The cable was moving around because the nut on the positive connection on the bottom side of the lid fell off. The problem is that the connection on the bake side of the lid is hidden by a piece of plastic that can't be removed so you can't see the connection to know it has fallen off. If you can't maintain the connection, it shouldn't come apart. Good luck with this battery case.
👤Make sure you tighten all the connections. The power center has all the connections to your battery. Remove the internal cover and you will see all the connections. The power center cover would run hot and the motor would randomly stop working. I realized I could remove the cover and get to everything I wanted.
👤I don't know what I'm getting, but I just click and buy whenever I can, and hope for the best. This box is of the highest quality. I didn't think it would have so many features. It has a battery indicator. I still use a green digital readout volt meter as a useful tool for someone else that may need it. There are two internal breaker's, a 60amp motor and a 10amp accessory. If you have any electrical knowledge, you can modify this box to fit your needs. I use it to run my boat's electrical and trolling motor. I have two side led lighting switches and one switch for two other lights and two 120v ac outlets. It's convenient if I ever need it. I hope this helps people. Thanks.
👤Walmart group 29 Everstart is fine. Group 24 and 27 only. Maybe the Walmart is smaller than other brands. The black plastic clips and screws are used to hold the strap in place after you unbuckle it. The screws were too long and I was worried they would bore holes in the battery over time. I used screws. The power outlets have cigarette lighter sized plugs. You should give up your keys and stop shopping if you complain that it doesn't come with a battery.
👤It worked well for me. A battery container is a little expensive. I realized the time savings and the cost was worth it. The box seems to be a higher quality one than the other ones I've seen. The power posts are nice. I can run my radio or use jumpers without having to unbuckle the box. I used a group 24 Interstate Deep Cycle Marine battery and it fit just fine, although the box is a little longer than the battery by about 3 inches. It was a blessing that it gave me a place to put extra wiring and tools. The tacoma has a Renogy 100w solar panel on it. The box was put into the bed of the truck.
Extra long cables allow for different battery placement. This electric motor provides 62lb thrust and is great for any boater. The motor can run all day without overheating or making noise, thanks to the high quality build. Features: The motor has a 40 inch shaft, a 10 LED battery meter, a 6 inch telescoping tiller handle, and a 3 blade propeller. When needed, the mount angle, height, and direction can be adjusted. The top speed of the motor is about 4.25mph, it depends on your boat shape, weight, water, wind, and other factors. The 3 blade propeller has a low end. The motor requires a 12V Lead-Acid Deep Cycle or a Li-ion Deep Cycle battery. The motor should have a 60amp circuit breaker at all times. Max Amp Draw: 58A. The Newport motors are made with high quality steel, magnesium, and zinc hardware to resist freshwater and saltwater environments. Every product they make is backed by a 2 year warranty. 👤The broken handle section was taken apart. There was a broken piece that held it all together. There was a ball bearing. They didn't know where they went. I decided to drill a new hole and secure the handle with a bolt after an hour of trial and error. The telescopic function works again despite being poor designed. -2 stars for engineering, -2 stars for broken pieces, and -2 stars for my time. I can still fish. The 86 pound version is portable and has extra power. It did a good job. Good for tooling on a lake, but the seas are too rough. The gears controlling the speed gave out. I have a harder time stopping it now that I can barely get it going. That is dangerous. It's ridiculous that they used cheap plastic on the motor. I fear it is useless in its current state. Manufacturing failure was the only thing that happened. The system requires two batteries. If the goal is kayak-style-launch portable, that's a lot to carry around. wasted money is caused by failed controls.
👤It was a great season. The device is described as saltwater and promises "stainless steel", but there's no indication that it's actually "marine" steel. Within a year, the internally rusted had seized up. Very disappointing. I used it for a 20ft sailboat because I was in a busy marina with a lot of tourists, first-time paddleboarders, people renting kayaks, etc., and I wanted to actually sail in it. The motor was perfect until it wasn't anymore.
👤This pushes my heavy Glassply at fast speeds. The mount and the set screw fittings are very light. The ones on my 40 lbs are the same as the ones on these. The motor had to be light so people could carry it. The motor is powerful. It is difficult to lock the motor straight ahead because of the engine's power. The Newport is small. I have to keep a hand on the engine to steer it while I troll. The whole structure could be stouter. I'm worried.
👤It's amazing so far. Pushes my dingy with me and my lady in it and a cooler with no problems. It ran for 3 hours and was full of charge. Quality wires and connections make this light and variable. Comes with a circuit breaker. Our speed was at least 6 mph if not more, although it wasn't needed all the time.
👤It's not a common brand, but it's a good one. I'll give it to the Newport vessel, we have an 86lb thrust motor on our pontoon. We had 17 people on our boat and we're using only this motor. It has power. It is worth the money. I'm happy we bought it. We were out for almost 5 hours and still had a full battery. We ran it at different speeds. Didn't need to go faster than that. The motor is very strong. You will not regret it. This is the main motor on our pontoon. Right away, it worked out great. The handle and shaft is great. Newport needs to address a couple of cons to improve their product. You'll be great if it's waterproof. The difference between faster and slower speeds isn't much. Something needs to be fixed in the motor. Don't take your boat out in the wind. Someone had to pull us back with their motor. The wind doesn't like fighting it. I think this relates to the speed that doesn't seem different at different settings. The motor was good for the price. If you need a motor that has higher thrust. This is a good bet. When buying, keep in mind the few quirks.
