It is easier to install in shallow electrical boxes. Terminal Screws, Backed out and Staked, Accept No.10 Copper or Copper-Clad Wire. Heavy-Duty Brass Power Contacts are used for maximum conductivity. The steel mounting strap is heavy-gauge. The maximum wiring room in a box has a shallow design. Where applicable, captive mounting screws for fast installation. Where applicable, captive mounting screws for fast installation.

👤I bought two of these outlets because they are described as slim, and I have a junction box that is a bit deeper than standard boxes. I was disappointed to open these, but they are the same dimensions as the one I found at my local home improvement store. I can not speak to the quality because I couldn't install, but I can say that these aren't slim. They are the same size. I will only get a few bucks back from the return, but I will do it out of principle for the inaccurate product description.

👤The Leviton Outlets are good. Shipping and supply on Amazon is good. I ordered the majority of the switches in white to look nice, new, and clean. The back of the white outlet had a skull sticker on it, but 2 of the 10 had it on the front. I tried to remove the glue, but it turned out to be dirty and grey. I'll try alcohol before I return them, but this is not a common moment.

👤These outlets are great for frequent use areas on 20AMP circuits, like kitchens, outdoors, and tool usage. My previous kitchen outlets were so weak that they only took 5 years to use up, and if the cord was barely connected, it would cause an extremely unsafe situation. The outlets are more snug and firm than standard outlets. I'm very pleased with the improvement. I prefer to use the screws on the side rather than the insert holes when installing outlets. I feel that placing the loops under the screws provides a better connection than making them on the wire. The outlet is in the middle of the high difficulty because it has a ridge all around the screw that makes placing the loop of wire very difficult. Maybe there are standards that require this, but I don't like the extra effort and damage that comes with it, and wish they would re-engineer to make the installation simpler.

👤I have used this brand for a lot of standard home light switches and outlets, and I don't recall having any problems. These outlets are garbage. The ground screw threads were stripped out of the outlets. The first one I used a drill but the setting was too low and I had to double check. I used the drill to set all of the other screws. The second one was stripped by hand without me even getting it to tighten down. Both ground screws. They stripped when they met the resistance of the wire.

👤These are not commercial grade quality and should only be used in areas that are not residential or high traffic. The outlets don't have press in fit or press and tighten terminals. The side screws are not strong enough to allow a wire around the terminal. The terminal screws can be loosened. I had to get higher quality replacements in order to use some of them. I think these are actually Leviton brand.

👤Good price and works well. I couldn't find the brand stamp on the receptacle. They work fine, but not sure if it is actually leviton or not.

2. Leviton Self Test SmartlockPro Non Tamper Resistant Receptacle

Now you can make sure your home, office, and garage are sound. Their safety outlet plug covers 50-pack will give you a bigger bang for your buck and allow you to childproof your home, office, garage, vacation home, grandparents' home or hotel room without having to spend a small fortune! An automatic internal test is conducted by the GFCI to confirm that it can respond to a ground fault. Even when a self test is being conducted, continuous ground fault protection can be provided. The status indicator light shows power and protection status. If a ground fault can't be responded to, the patented lockout action prevents a reset. It's easier to install because it's slim, shallow. 👤I usually go for Leviton. I like their system for wiring devices. I bought two of them for a great price. I wired one GFCI with two regular receptacles that are "GFCI protect outlets". All three devices in the circuit say "Correct" when I test them for proper wiring. I used my meter and all three gave me 120v. All is good so far. When I test and reset the GFCI, the light flashes once and the light is blank. There is no green light. Has anyone else had this problem? The devices are all working, but the status light blinks once at reset and is off, but it's not because of the wiring. I questioned the above statement after speaking with a tech support representative at Leviton. Leviton has reduced the brightness of the light. He said to look at the status light at night time. I did that. The light is functional and working. Customers were complaining that the status light in their homes was too bright and that they were more focused on the dark room. It makes sense. The representative that I spoke to said that the red status light is not always true. I am happy with my purchase. Thanks!

👤This is a good outlet at a good price. I swapped out my existing outlet for this one because it wouldn't reset. This was a primary circuit outlet nicely wired in by the builder of the house, so it has 7 solid copper wires going to it, all nicely wired in and packed into the outlet box. Replacing this outlet should have been simple, with the receptacle pulled out of the box, the wires disconnected, and the new receptacle placed into the outlet box. I had to unpack a nest of wires, wrestle them all around to fit the new locations, and then re-locate the bundle of wires back into the outlet box, which was more work than it should have been. Leviton, your ground is in the normal location, but you had to switch around the line and load locations because your hot and neutral are in the normal location. If I have another one, I'll probably pay a little more to get a receptacle that is laid out the same to make it easier to replace.

👤This is the first time that I have ever seen a outlet wired in a different way than the other outlets I have worked with. Every other time I replaced one, I removed the old one and attached the new one to the old one, making sure I didn't mix up the wires. I only discovered the issue after looking at the wiring diagram, looking at the back of the Leviton GFCI, and then cross referencing with the back of the two older GFCI's I had laying around. There is a The two LINE charges are black on the left and white on the right. You have your ground wire connection point on the bottom. Every outlet with a GFCI. I have experience with this, and it is the same as the Leviton GFCI, except at the top, instead of 2 load charges, the two LINE connections are on the left and white on the right. You have two load charge connections instead of the 2 line connections, and you still have black and white on the right and left. The LOAD connections are at the bottom of the Leviton outlets, but the line connections are at the top. If you wire the outlet the same way as the one in the wall, it won't work. You have to flip your wires. I had to change it to 1 black on top and 2 black on bottom, and 1 white on top and 2 white on bottom, because I had 2 black on top and 1 black on bottom. Look at the thing before you put it in.

👤This outlet is less expensive than similar items at the big box home centers. That makes it worth buying. It has a screwless cover plate, so it looks nicer than the usual outlet. It seems to charge fine and the sockets keep the sawdust out of the ports. My challenge was to put it in place. It is difficult to get the wire lined up in the box when the ground screw is in an impossible place. It's nearly impossible to get a wire loop around the screw because it slides out of the hole. I wonder if the engineer who designed this has ever installed an outlet in their life. You might have to add 15 minutes to the time for installing this outlet.

👤I bought a set of 6usb integrated receptacles to put in every room of our house. The receptacle seems to be of good quality. To maintain the wire in the sockets, you must TIGHTEN the screws. I didn't discover this until I was installing the last one. They had to go back and check them all. And voila! The wires were loose and had to be seat on the screws. The cover plates are not something that a lot of people like. First they are standard size, but they are also extra work to install. It's very difficult to remove! I ordered cover plates that were large.

👤I couldn't use the outlet so it's difficult to write a review. The outlet is very deep. I have blue electric boxes. The outlet was too deep. I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem. It looks like a good product.

👤It was easy to install. iPad charges but not quickly. It is not as fast when it is plugged in. The advertised "4.0 Amp" figure seems to apply to both ports, not one of them. I was hoping that if only one device is plugged in, it would be able to drain more than 2 Amp. I'm not sending it back because of the hassle of removing it and mailing it during the epidemics. You might want to buy a different one. If 2 Amp per outlet is enough for you, this is fine.

👤I bought two of them. One of the screws that holds the neutral was so tight that it was not possible to attach a wire to it. The neutral screw was tightened when it was delivered and when loosened it became stripped and no longer could be used to attach a ground wire. It seems to be quality control or even design defects. Beware.

👤I put this in the front entryway, but it was 10' back from the window. It works perfectly for that application, and it is powered by ausb camera. Installation was easy. The only problem I had with the outlet was that the ground screw came off and it was nearly impossible to get it back in. Not a big deal.

👤This outlet is larger than a standard outlet. I had to buy and install a larger box because the original box was not large enough to fit theusb outlet. Changing out an outlet box in a finished wall is difficult. Make sure you are ready for the work.

👤The things work as advertised. I need to charge my iPad Air 3. People complain that the cover plate doesn't hug the wall. I was also complaining about the same thing after my 3rd outlet install. I realized that I had to reverse the mount so that the mount would snap into place and hug the war. I figured it out through trial and error, but I wish they had mentioned it in the instructions. It is less than half the price of Home Depot or Lowes, so it is definitely worth the money.

👤I have not been paid for the review, but it looks like I was. The outlets in my house were busy with charging devices because they were so cluttered. If we wanted to plug in a lamp or vacuum, we had to rearrange our devices. I decided to take a chance on these because they were 2X the price, but I checked Home Depot and found similar devices. I am very happy. I've attempted to charge every device I've owned, from the iPad to the phone to the bike light. My AC cords plug in and share the space with theusb cables because the ports are close to the AC outlets. The features that facilitate installation were thought out by the designers of this product. I thought I would have to pigtail the line conductor because I installed outlets where they are not the last ones on the circuits. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the product accommodates 2 12-gauge supply conductors, one for the outlet and one to pass down to the next outlet. The outlets solved the problem of my charger block in both locations. I don't have to look around the house to see where my sons are hiding. I think I'll add that project to the list because I think I could benefit from installing these outlets in more places around the home.

👤Don't buy this product! Advertising is false. This is not a fast charging port. It has 2 ports, but they don't work for charging devices as advertised. Slow charging or notcharging is what the device will say. It takes a lot of strength and effort to fit a regular charge cord. They are electrical dangers. They install crooked and the cheap plastic bends and sits on the walk and nothing standard fits at all without forcing it into the ports. The ports were professionally installed and never worked properly. It's not possible that I installed them wrong or something similar. Amazon prime is worthless and wasted money.

👤I was very disappointed with the initial results of these. The outlet receptacle is not compatible with a metal electrical box. The metal tabs of the outlets are too tight and the mounting holes don't line up with the electrical boxes. I used only 2 of the 4 screws. The 'holders' are a terrible idea. The cover plate cannot be mounted against the cabinet surface. They are very difficult to remove once installed, and it is difficult to get access to the outlets themselves. I did not use the snap on cover plate holders because of the gap they created. I used double sided tape to hold the plates in place. No pun intended, but time will tell if that solution holds up. These products must be better.

👤They only have one hot and one neutral connection so you can't put them in a place where you have more outlets running on the same line. This can only be installed at the end of the series, and only provides protection for one outlet, not the rest. I was surprised that they only had one way to have other circuits run off of them. My kitchen has one outlet on the electric line, which is more than anyone else's.

👤The first day is great. One blow up in my face while I was putting the screws. The wire screws on the side were making contact with the metal outlet box. I had to run electric tape around the whole outlet to keep the points of contact from the box. I hope they make a smaller device to avoid this. I wore my glasses and gloves when this happened.

👤I had this installed by a licensed electrician while he was working in our house. It works well, but emits a high-pitched whine when the ports are being used. I tried it with a Macbook, an iPad, and another non-Apple device. I will need to uninstall it and replace it with another product because it's annoying.

👤There is enough power to charge a couple of devices. It has an annoying issue where the coil whines when something is plugged in. It's a high-pitched noise that can make you jittery. It happens with both of the outlets that I got, so it seems like a design issue rather than a manufacturing defect. It's disappointing that they couldn't make this quiet.

👤They work well. I have used them to charge things, but I have to use a standard plug if I want to use the actual AC outlets. It can't be a power cable that has a big AC/DC conversion on the end. You won't be able to use the charging ports if you need to plug one in. I wanted to keep the Amazon Echo Show in this area. I can plug it in and it will work, but I can't use the charging ports.

👤We put these in a duplex electrical box. The two outlets had to be moved a tad closer to install the duplex cover plate. The circuit breaker blew. One screw is used on either side of the wiring connection. Series wiring adds a bit of thickness to the connection. The screws project out further when this happens. The screw on the right side of one comes into contact with the screw on the left side. I can slap a bit of electric tape on the screws, but it's not code or safe. The back of the outlet will be used for the wire inserts. That may be a challenge since the receptacles are large. I saw that another reviewer had a similar problem with the metal box. Plastic boxes are hard to find.

👤The ELEGRP 30W 6.0 Amp 3-Port USB Wall Outlet, 20 Amp Receptacle with USB Type C Type A Ports is perfect for my needs. Many new outlets have safety shutters that block foreign objects from entering the receptacle. It may be difficult to insert a plug the first time. Make sure the shutters are in contact with the plug prongs. If you do this a few times, the shutters will loosen up. High speed charging can be provided by theusb outlets. I plugged my phone into the outlet and waited until it was fully charged. When my phone battery was the same as the previous test, I plugged my fast charge into the regular electrical outlet and waited until fully charged. This was close enough for me to use a more scientific method of testing. I am very pleased with the outlets.

👤The majority of reviews are from people who think we live in the 1950's and are trying to wrap wire around the screws. You don't need to bend your wire to wrap it around the screw anymore, you just need to push it up under the plate and tighten it. There is no need to bend the wire. The unit works well. It is easy to install and shallow enough to replace an old 2 prong plug. You should order the right version, either 15 or 20 Amp. The switch on the breaker box is where you're going to replace the plug. The switch will have a number on it, 15 or 20 and this tells you which one to order. The face plate is small so you may need some paint.

👤The test was damaged when I pushed it into the electrical box. As you push the receptacle into the electrical box, the #12 wire will fold onto itself. This design isn't up to the task. I did not see any evidence of damage, but it failed after I changed the install. The items in the downstream outlets got no power after testing with a nightlight. The return was accepted by Amazon. I found an equivalent Leviton receptacle on Amazon for a couple dollars more than I paid for the Faith receptacle. The Leviton model number is GFNT2I, and it is very helpful in a small electrical box.

👤I had high hopes, but it failed after only 1 light on dusk to dawn was plugged into it. No burn marks or visual evidence will reset. I bought two. The second one should last at least a year. If "Faith Electric" makes it right, I will update.

👤The switch worked great after I installed it a month ago. I could not figure out why it kept kicking off. I looked at everything I could to see what was going on. There was nothing plugged in to the garage outlet. I replaced it and it couldn't be the GFI. I thought the GFI might go bad after a month. I read the reviews and they seem to be a common problem with the company's products. I bought a Leviton GFI and solved the problem after spending an extra 3 dollars. It works perfect. I would stay away from this product and spend the extra money on a good brand name one and forget about it.

👤I'm not sure if it's a brand or a brand with a GFCI. I put a 20 Amp circuit on a dedicated circuit for a freezer with a thermostat that will switch it on and off. It would travel every three days. I put a 15 Amp inside the garage and it will cut power when you plug in devices. Sometimes the world works but the whole box is unpowered because the GFCI didn't trip. There are new short run circuits. I think it's the manufacturer.

👤I spent hours looking at every junction and outlet box, isolating the problem to two of them. They would give error messages, such as open neutral and reverse hot and ground. Enormous waste of time. I ordered three others of the same name brand and they all worked well. Would not recommend them.

👤Be careful with this item. Wall plates are universal in the US. I ordered a few packs of these and they came in two different sizes. It worked out for me as different rooms.

👤The wall plate covers are smaller than normal. I can now see the cutout on the side of the mounted plate because two of them were not able to completely cover it. They are a very bright white, which really stands out. I wouldn't recommend them.

👤These are essential things that you need now and then. We need to replace some of the outlets that have child-proofing on them. These fit perfectly. You can't say much else. I am very pleased with how these work. Amazon will donate to your favorite charity. Amazon will donate to the charity of your choice when you make a qualified purchase if you use Amazon Smile. You can check out how Amazon Smile works at https://smile.amazon.com. My shopping is giving to my favorite charity at no cost to me. Awesome!

👤I bought these because I couldn't find compatible screwless plates. These are easy to install, with some flexibility, so they don't crack as easily as the very cheap options that you can get in Home Depot or Lowes. They don't adequately cover the outlet cut out because they are not as wide as most plates builders use.

👤It's easy to make your house look more up to date. There is a small gap between the wall plate and the outlet. I would like it to surround the outlet correctly, but it could be that our outlets are old and need to be replaced. I would definitely recommend this product.

👤There is value in this product for the quantity and process. We sold our home so I need to swap plates for fresh ones. If you're looking for a long term quality plate, I would not buy it here. There is a good chance you will crack one as you install. They are below the grade of a builder, but if you need them, they may be fine.

👤I'm replacing the electrical outlets and switches in my house with flat white covers because they are old and yellow. Remember to purchase the outlets separately from the box of wall plates from Amazon.

👤I ordered 10 boxes of plates and ordered a house full of them. Each plate is wrapped individually and has a small baggie for the required screw. Thank you! They are plastic, not metal, for anyone who might need to know. I didn't care. I was able to get the screw to bite and hold because the outlet in my old house was a bit recessed. There is a A quality check email was sent by this company. Nice.

👤Normal recepticle covers don't bend like shown. Under pressure, these will break easily. I still use them, but buyer beware, better off going to a hardware store to make sure you get what you need.

👤This is a good deal. It sits on plugs in. The plug sticks out and the stick in.

👤The outlet is decent for the price. It runs very hot at the claimed load of 6A.

👤It's hard to get a plug into the regular part of the outlet. I thought I had a bad outlet, but I tried another couple and they were all the same. I got it to work after I forced a hard plug in. It was a bit easier to insert the second time. It behaves normally after a dozen or so iteration. It is very odd. The high output of theusb outlets is great, but it is difficult to put the plugs in.

👤The charging station in my kitchen has become an outlet. The hardest part of the installation is getting the wires on the lugs. I watched a video that showed this being installed in parallel. One wire is hard, so I would think that two increases the difficulty. The wallboard cutout around my receptacle is too big. The wall plate that comes with this outlet does not allow room for that. They don't tell you the actual dimensions of the cover plate. I am guessing it is a standard size. I put it against a standard plate and it was a fraction smaller. See the first two pictures. The dimensions of the receptacle box inside the wall are similar to the cover plate. If your receptacle opening is too big, you will see a gap at the edge. I used a Leviton R62 0PJ26-00W from The Home Depot to finish my installation. It is very similar to Leviton. Both are cover plates. The cover plate was installed in the second picture. The cover plate is the first picture. The description says that the ports are fast charging. They are not. My phone is charged at a rate of 1% per minute. The outlet charges my phone at 1% per minute. It would take me 40 minutes to get my phone fully charged with a fast charge. It takes 65 minutes to get a full charge from this outlet. This outlet does not offer protection from the ground fault circuit interrupter. I would advise you not to use this to replace a GFCI outlet at the head of the line. I have no concerns because my charging station is at the end of the line. I was considering getting a bigger cover plate like the one that came with the outlet. I kept staring at it. It doesn't look right. The cover plate was deducted one star. I deducted a star for not being able to charge up. I will probably get a different brand in the future. I will decide in a month whether to return it. Maybe I will do that next week.

👤Good product. When I removed the old outlet, I noticed that I had two black wires and two white wires instead of the traditional one and one. There were two black wires and two white wires in this outlet. Sometimes outlets only have screws for one wire. It was easy to transfer all the wires over because this wasn't the case. It's difficult to put the three-prong items in because of the child tampering/resistance feature. It charges my accessories with ease, and no more looking for tiny wall plugs to charge my accessories. If I ever need to quickly charge something, I have the convenience of having a place to easy charge my items, because I like installing these where there are counter below or above the outlets.

It provides continuous ground fault protection, detecting and trips on actual ground fault even when self-test is being conducted. The status indicator light provides simple, intuitive feedback on power and protection status. If a ground fault can't be responded to, the patented lockout action prevents a reset. It is easier to install in shallow electrical boxes. It is easier to install in shallow electrical boxes.

👤I'm pretty sure it was a knock off. The outlet was malfunctioning. 120v hit the screws. Plug something in to the top. The bottom outlet tripped when it was unplugged. Someone else checked my wiring as well. Went to HD and picked up the same item. It worked perfectly when wired in the same way. There were many different markings on the store bought packaging. Amazon had the same colors, but they were blank for most of the time. It's good that Amazon is good with returns.

👤The outlet seems to be a good one. Instructions are clear on the device. Load/line and hot/white wire connections are labeled. The old outlet and box was being replaced with this one. The install was difficult due to the outlet. The wires were long enough to reach the screws with little give, very rigid to move, and it was 40F out with my hands. I undid the old outlet and reconnected it the same way as the one before it. Everything is clear there. The secondary outlet downline was also connected. There was a sticker on the new outlet that said what the plugs were. After attaching the cover plates to the house, I turned on the power at the breaker. I have a load tester that can confirm that electricity is flowing in the wires all the way up to the outlet. The tester has no lights, and the small light on the outlet is not on. The TEST and the RESET buttons don't do anything for the GFCI, and it doesn't feel like they're tripping like a normal GFCI would. The hot wire goes back to the circuit breaker, so there is no chance of another GFCI before you do something. It's really frustrating. I'm going to disassemble and double check the connections tomorrow, but likely going to HD to find another outlet and return this one.

👤I trust Leviton's quality and installability and purchased two of these outlets. I don't recommend following the instructions if the device was wired on the previous outlet. I wired it wrong the first time, but when the green light didn't come on and I couldn't reset it, I knew I had messed it up. The first outlet only had two wires so it was easy to fix my mistake. The second outlet I had to connect had four wires, and I thought I followed the directions, but it turned out that the two white wires and the two black wires had to be switched. The directions are correct, but you need to pay attention to how the outlet looks in the directions--it's upside down, so everything needs to be reversed. The green light didn't come on until I reversed them. The green light came on after I reset the outlet. I added a waterproof outlet cover to protect it from water and other debris since these outlets are outdoors. It would have taken about 10 minutes to install each outlet if I hadn't messed up. Make sure to turn off the electricity at the electrical box.

10. Indicator Tamper Resistant Weather Resistant Receptacle

Indicator Tamper Resistant Weather Resistant Receptacle

It's easy to install. Side and back wiring is supported. There is no need to loosen the screws counterclockwise before wiring. It is in a wall box. Can replace existing outlets. It is compatible with standard wall plates. There is more space for maneuvering and reducing stress on the cables. Premium high-impact resistant thermoplastic materials and rational structure design ensure superior strength and durability. It is a single gang electrical box that supports a standard duplex, grounded receptacle and the safe electrical GFCI outlet tester has TEST and RESET buttons. The Anko GFCI is a 20 Amp, 125 Volt, 60HZ,usb outlet. Young children are not allowed to put objects into the outlets. An automatic internal test is conducted by the GFCI to confirm that it can respond to a ground fault. Weather resistant is constructed with advanced UV stabilizing engineering to provide superior protection against aging and discoloration. In kitchens and bathroom, ground fault circuit interrupter outlets are required to prevent electrical shock in areas with a lot of water. Self Test - Two Indicator Light gives simple, intuitive feedback on power and protection status. If the indicator is green, you have installed the correct receptacle. The red light blinks once every 40 seconds to make sure the GFCI is working. The red indicator will turn on when the receptacle ends its' life and remind you to replace it. The installation of the GFCI receptacle is easy if you follow their detailed instructions. Installation instructions, screws, and unbreakable polycarbonate wall plates are included.

Brand: Anko

👤It was just awful. The creation of a couple of new cuss words took nearly an hour. You can't hold something in your hand first when you buy it. I have switched many outlets before without a problem. If you look at my photos, you will see that the older GFCI outlet has a lot of space around the screw terminals to easily feed the wire over the screw top and then slide the wire around the screw and tighten. If you want to get the wires around a terminal screw, you should not have to make any changes to the wires. The tolerances around the plastic that surrounds the screws combined with the limited length the screws will "loosen" means normal US power wiring is extremely difficult to fit between the plastic housing and screw terminals. You have to wrap the wire with pliers in the smallest space known to man. It's incredibly cute! There is a reason why the back terminals are shown in the photo above, not the screw terminals. If you ignore my warning and purchase this terrible outlet, you'll end up like me. When you tighten the screws to hold the wires firmly in the back terminals, they pop out easily. This is a fire hazard. If it's approved for sale on the American market, I'll be buying an outlet that has more room around the screw terminals than this one does.

👤I bought these white units to replace my old "ivory" ones. None, really. A very bulky form factor was only one of 2 Cons. The depth of 1.34" is something to pay attention to. The back of the plaster ear makes it look thinner than it is. This is the deepest GFCI I've ever purchased. The LINE terminals were placed oddly. If you mount the duplex outlet with the ground prongs down, LINE and Earth will attach to the unit. All of my brands of GFCIs have LINE terminals that are close to the top of the box. A. Even with a new driver bit d, the heads of the termination screws are easy to strip. I had to tighten the screws to the max before the wires would not pull out when tugged, as I always test the integrity of my connections by giving all my wires the 'tug test' before trusting the connections. The 'back wired' terminals will not grab two wires of the same gauge. I needed to connect a 12ga and a 14ga wire, both, in the two back wire holes provided for each terminal). I had to change one of my cables to make sure the terminal wouldn't fall down. The Earth(GND) terminal is difficult to connect with 12ga and 14ga. The screw head needs to open/back out far enough to get the conductor under the head. h. I installed both of these units in a single box, but only one of them started to flash a red light. The red light blinks once every 40 seconds to make sure the GFCI is working, according to the Amazon page. The red indicator will turn on when the GFCI receptacle ends its' life, reminding you to replace the outlet in time. There are three things wrong with this, I didn't know I had a flashing red light 24/7. I and my wife are at night. It is not a smoke alarm flash. The flash is bright and very noticeable. Even if you are reading a book, it will catch your attention. Only one of the two new units actually flashed, so think carefully before purchasing. I don't want a factory telling me that I need to replace my GFCI at some arbitrary date, so I assume that the other one is broken, after carefully following the Test/Reset cycles, several times. This date is unknown. If there is a red light on the unit, why don't you use the test button weekly? It seems redundant to me. Why do I trust the Test Button or the Self Test? What does this mean to me? It means that I don't install electrical equipment. For a full refund, return both units. It took me almost two hours to install the wires and terminals. I have to un- install them before I can use Leviton. Very disappointed.

11. Leviton GFNL1 W R02 Gfnl1 00W Self Test Receptacle

Leviton GFNL1 W R02 Gfnl1 00W Self Test Receptacle

It's easier to install because it's slim, shallow. Automatic on/off is provided by the sensor. The guide light uses energy. No bulbs to replace 1 watt of electricity. The need to use an outlet for a plug-in night light saves space. An automatic internal test is conducted by the GFCI to confirm that it can respond to a ground fault. If a ground fault can't be responded to, the patented lockout action prevents a reset. It is easier to install a shallow design. Wallplate was sold separately. Wallplate was sold separately.

Brand: Leviton

👤I hope someone at Leviton sees this. This works as an electrical outlet. It's rotten as a nightlight. I would return it if I hadn't paid the electrician to install it. I try not to have cold color lighting in my home. They are lousy as night lights because blue light tends to wake people up. It's bright. I'm not sure why someone would plug something into an outlet in the dark, but the fact that it lights the slots up is cool. My advice is to buy something without this kind of illumination. Leviton, change the diodes to a warmer color.

👤I'm very pleased with the product. One of my outlets stopped working and took down two other outlets. It should've been easy because I'm quite confident about being able to work with house wiring. It's hard to work with thick gauge solid copper. I thought I would just transfer the wires from the old one to the new one. I underestimated the room I had in the electrical box. The first one I ordered was too big to fit in the box. I found a slim model of Leviton. I got it back into the wall. It didn't work immediately. I had a white light but no power. The wiring instructions had the outlet upside down. The ground was on top of the diagrams. I was wiring my old outlet and every other outlet in my home that had a ground plug at the bottom. After moving the wires around and trying to cram everything back into the wall, it finally works. I'm surprised they were able to fit into a slimmer package than other brands because of the automatic nightlight.

👤The second unit has behaved the same as the first. It is wired correctly. The wires are in perfect alignment. I can't reset the unit because of the solid white light in the corner. I can't change the ones I bought.

👤Works well... If you flip the lights off, it will turn on instantly. It makes good light. The neutral and hot plugs reflect light. It has a lot of safety features. The ship is in the ripped position. Once you turn the power back on, you'll have to reset it. If it finds you wired it wrong, it won't reset. If you wire the hot line-in to the hot load side, it will not reset, so make sure you understand the Line and Load Side. It would be nice if it had an infinite dimmer, it's too bright sometimes, and you're looking straight into it because of it's placement. When your vision is adjusted for night, there's a deer in the headlight problem. It's ideal if you can face it away from you when you enter the room. I didn't have to place a piece of translucent tape over my location to mitigate the brightness. YMMV

👤I replaced it with a test that I really liked. I ordered more. The nightlight works well. I am an amateur radio operator with an antenna in the attic and every time I would transmit between 20 watt and 100 watt on any band a few of my original builder GFIC would trip or chatter/hum. Not all of them are the same. The problem is gone after I replaced them with these. These are not sensitive to RF and have been re-engineering over the last 15 years. All my GFICs were the ones that trip all the time. I now have more nightlights. I would recommend these to any other radio amateur. November 5 is Yankee.
