👤My daughter always wants to ride her scooter to the park so I bought a red scooter. Since the Pandemic is going on, I am her companion. When I was looking for a scooter, my daughter suggested that I get a red color since she was riding a pink scooter. I was surprised that the box was a retail one. I had forgotten how a retail box looks like, because I had been shopping online for so long, but it was advertised nicely. You're ready to go when the scooter is in the box and you pop the handle up. The 2 grips don't wiggle while operating and the handle bar clicks in tightly. The handle grip is made from rubber, unlike foam that gets destroyed after a few months. There are benefits to using a rubber wheel. Silicone wheels have no traction in the rain, whereas rubber wheels have better traction in the rain. The rubber wheel has more stop power than silicone because of its traction, if you use too much force it will wear down the wheel fast. These scooters are made for leisure, so you treat them. It will last a long time. I'm 5'9 170 lbs and have a scooter that can hold 200 lbs. I did not have to hunch my back while riding it. The platform is large enough for me to rest my feet on. When I need to carry the scooter, the sling is always ready to be used. This will give you some insight to make your decisions when buying a scooter.

👤It snapped in two pieces after ten days of play. My 12 year old was the rider and he weighs less than the maximum weight. The manufacturer contacted me today and told me that they would send me a replacement at no cost and that they would also refund my purchase price. It seems like it was mispackaged by Amazon and that's why it was damaged. The person I spoke to was very nice.

👤My 16 year old nephew is 5”7 and weighs 160. He is able to do all his jumps and maneuvers. He puts on his mask and goes to the corner store. We were so happy to purchase it.

👤Being an auto mechanic, the last thing I want to do is hike a quarter mile to my car after fixing cars for 10 hours. I don't like the quarter mile hike in at the start of my shift or the half mile hike round trip when trying to find something to eat. I don't enjoy hiking, but I would rather walk two or more miles on a day I haven't been standing on concrete floors for a long time. A walking commute which would add five minutes to my intended start or subtract ten minutes from my lunch is no longer an issue with this gem. I have the last laugh when I'm riding my scooter by my coworkers and I'm going towards my car. They're dragging their sore feet back to their car as I'm laughing my way home towards a cold brew and a hot steak. This scooter has everything you could possibly need. Light-reflective stripping attached to the wheels, a solid grip-tape on the deck, three position height adjustments on the handle bar, intuitive and comfortable push braking, and a solid grip-tape on the deck are all included. Solid grips on the handle column and a brake mounted rear light reflectors make this a very comfortable ride. To fold or compact the scooter it will first need to be on a solid surface, after which loosen the retaining clasp will allow you to lift a small plastic lever attached to the base of the front deck. Simple and easy, just don't attempt to operate the release while it's in the air.

Brand: Razor

👤My daughter's 11th birthday is when I bought this scooter. At first glance, I thought, "Ugh." This is too small for her, she is about 90 lbs. She was too big on it. She took it for a test drive, and it had some get up and go. She loves this thing. I would not allow a child under 10 to ride this scooter independently around town as it gets up to 15 mph. We live in a town that is very hilly. There is not much riding. It works to get up big hills when I am 130 lbs. It makes it, but it is working hard. If I was riding it on a flatter path, it would be fine for me, but if you have a hilly terrain, you would be pushing its limits. The item is best suited for 10 - 13 year olds who weigh under 120 lbs.

👤I only had to change the battery's a few times because the first one lasted 10 years. Each day I ride to the beach and back for about a mile and a half. I am 75 years old. At my age, I could not care less about it, it is a great product at an amazing price. It was easy to put on the front wheel because it was delivered to my door. They have not invented any words to describe how pleased I am with your service. Jim Zinger is aCSP.

👤We love these scooters. It took my 6-year old a while to get used to it but now she is all over the place. I can ride this.

👤I was curious about why this item had been returned, I bought it after it had been returned. The installation of the steering bars on this little scooter is a bit tricky, unlike the installation of the steering bars on the motocross bike that I bought a couple of weeks ago. Don't give up! It takes less than 30 minutes to assemble the scooter. The steering pole should be removed from the bottom before it is put in, the red line on the pole may not be real, and the "Safe Zone" etching on the pole is not real. It's possible to change the screws holding the white panel in the entryway. This is not difficult. If I could do it, you can too.

👤Thank you Razor! It is possible to trick honest customers. Thescooter is heavy to return by the time you realize your mistake. The building process requires you to insert parts and feel around in the dark for a fit. I was barely under the weight limit, and was unable to reach a speed faster than I could walk, and came to a halt at the slightest uphill grade. My younger brother lost interest in the machine within a minute because it was so slow and was not interesting. This item, for a very high price, looked so grand, and then had a kid lose interest in it. Do you remember Awesome toys that had a chance of losing interest for hours? No chance. This is not good. It is difficult to tell when the item is charging or not, even when you change it many times, and it will always show the item as being out of charge even after you have unplugged it. I am sad that my childhood memories of Razor have been destroyed, and that no young ones will ever have the chance to build new ones.

3. Yvolution Fliker Lift Scooter Size

Yvolution Fliker Lift Scooter Size

The assembly is flimsy. Only three bolts are needed to start riding. Ready to ride out of the box. Yvolution is the Original Flicker Company that has become the standard for measuring self-propelled scooters. The Y Fliker Lift A3 is their ultimate with a lightweight frame and super grip-wheels for insane stunts. There are wheeled things and wheelbarrows. The LIFT mechanism lets you pull off crazy wheelies and even drift sideways on two wheels. Simply lean back and feel the LIFT system engage while you leave everyone behind. It is foldable. The frame of the scooter can be folded down to make it easier to carry around and store in the car or home. Two decks instead of one and anti-slip footplates are designed to provide a strong grip for kids and more secure ride. There is a quick-response brake.

Brand: Yvolution

👤Our 13 year old has a neurological condition. Some of his friends have special needs. The kids had a blast. Our son cannot ride a bicycle, so this was an amazing experience for most of them. My husband is on a ride.

👤The first one broke and we purchased the second one. The 2nd one broke in the exact same place as the last. The metal pole had a metal bolt on it. The appropriate weight for the product is 80 lbs for my son. The company has a definite product issue after seeing the same issue twice.

👤It was hard for my husband to keep up with our 6 year old when he was on his scooter. He is 61 years old. We never imagined we would have so much fun. It is sturdy and well built. Once you get that hang of it, it's easy to handle. We didn't know it was for tricks. The first time I tried to turn a corner, I was about 6 feet off the ground. It was fun and scary at the same time. My grands and my daughter love it.

👤The one with the metal frame is for you. They seem to be stronger. The ride was very smooth. The kids love them, they are 6, 9, and 35 years old, and they were bought for family and neighbors the next day. These will last a while. The best place to ride on large hills is flat ground, the kids have to walk up them.

👤The build strength of the item impressed me. I'm not huge. I'm a normal male with 158 lbs. The handle bars are not much different than they were when I was steering and moving. I found that I could propel the skooter up minor inclines using the "swishing" motion alone, without the need for too much pressure on the handle bars. I found the standard skooter foot propulsion to be the best on more steep grades. The shape of the tricycle makes it easy to balance on your feet. I find the workout is perfect for my age, because you do get a workout, which you wouldn't get on an electric. It's easy to jump off in an emergency compared to a bike. It's good for people who are afraid of injury due to losing control of a bicycle. I am very pleased with the operation, ease of transport, ease of assembly, and workout potential of the Flicker skooter. You will have more fun on a smooth sidewalk than on a rough road. At our local park, I enjoy this a lot. I wasn't as happy on my road near my house. I didn't get to enjoy gliding on smooth concrete because of the bumps. I have owned this item for 2 months and have ridden it on at least 6 times. It seems like he is in good shape. The product should be recommended.

👤These things are awesome. Each of my boys received 2 for their bday. I was worried because the boxes do not conceal the product. They were badly damaged. The boxes fell apart and things fell out when the man tried to get them to the door. I was going to send the pictures back for being damaged or missing. However... The package that had all the tools survived without any major damage, just a few scratches in the paint and one Allen wrench fell out, but the other package still had all the tools. Everything was still in tact. The adults have been playing on them all day and we put them together this morning. It's fun. They go faster than I thought. If they can survive the beating they got during the delivery, then they will survive my two 10 year old boys. My older daughter wants one now, so be prepared to buy one for everyone.

Brand: Razor

👤My girls have had power wheels from an early age and have gotten into the Razor series of battery power ride ons. At 10 years old, they stopped riding all of it. I was looking for a big surprise Christmas gift. It was expensive at $700 at the time. I was surprised by the size and weight of them when they showed up. They were heavy duty and seemed well made. There are lots of metal parts. It was very easy to put a handle bar on. Ride time has been great. At least an hour. That is a long time in their world. I ride well in the grass and hills. It feels like an upgrade over the other battery powered options. So far, durable. The steering linkage had 2 bolts come loose. Simple maintenance could keep that from happening. Some may have concerns. Yes, you can. I weigh in at 215 lbs. If you turn it sharp, I will ride it on 2 wheels. I haven't seen them do that yet, but my older daughter did scare her. We are on grass most of the time and I don't think helmets are needed there. It was a good purchase for us.

👤As our daughter grew her old razor, we got her a quad. I knew exactly when the 2 charming guys were going to come so I called ahead to let them know. Unboxing was easy. Lift the box with the 4 wrapping straps. There was very little trash. 99% of the material was recycled cardboard. Nice! Is it an assembly? It was easy to attach the handlebars. Setting the angle to my daughter's preference took 4 minutes. The quad was ready to test. My daughter yelled and yelled as she opened the throttle. An 11 year old is cursing at his mom. Yes. As they zip around, it's pure joy! The quad can handle adults. It worked just as well for me as it did for my daughter. They lose their ability to hold the same charge over time if they get a spare battery. There is no rush. The smaller version took 4 years to be replaced. This quad is for sale. The online reviews are good. If they let you on it, your kid will have fun.

👤The quad was only used for a short time. A loud clacking noise would not go away. I had to repeat the whole story to a different person every time I called the insurer. I was told to get a hold of them again or I would have to start over again. I sent an email to them and they said that the part was not available and that they would contact me when it came in. I gave the item to my grandson in the middle of May after I purchased it in March. He only used it once a week. I wonder how long it will take and what part they will send. Still waiting. They sent them online to copy the part after a call. The motor was brand new. Now working well. It was pretty impressive that they knew this part made a loud clacking sound.

Charging time can take 3-6 hours and can support weight up to 260 lbs. The steep hills are easy to tackle.

Brand: Hurtle

👤The scooter arrived in about 4 days. The box is large and can be lifted by one person. The handle bars are manual. The scooter is large and requires removal of a bunch of foam padding, so be prepared to vacuum after. Once you get everything out, 4 screws are required to mount the handles and 2 handle bars are easy to install. Plug in the power cable and charge it, you can adjust the brake lever as you please. The scooter's power led is not on the scooter, but on the charging transformer itself. I put it up for a fee. I took this scooter outside after I got overly excited because it was still charging based on the red light. Going up and down a flight of stairs is not easy but doable because of its heavy weight. When I powered it on, I saw a screen with a number for MPH and a battery bar that I assumed was a full charge. This thing is easy to use and fast, I'm a large guy and I weigh 260LB. I haven't ridden a bike or a scooter in a decade so I was a bit nervous at first but I got the hang of it. I tried all three modes and it was fast. The fastest mode goes up to 18MPH and the slowest at 8 MPH. The scooter will "beep" if you hit the max MPH. The scooter has a red rear light and a white bright front light that requires you to press the power button three times to use. The actual review part is here. I grew up in a time when kids rode bikes and played outside in groups until the sun came down. This scooter brought me back to that time. My wife was outside and couldn't believe how excited I was when I saw that this was not a toy but a very well built, rugged, fast and very well built vehicle. The brakes are built to last and even without them, the scooter drops speed fast. This scooter was without a kick or push start and it accelerated from a dead start. You can put your weight on this and it will go. Had to have bought this sooner. I wrote this review on my own and have not been contacted by anyone. I researched other scooters before buying this one. I haven't tested the app yet.

👤I got a boy and an electric scooter. I'm not disappointed. The set up for this scooter is very easy. It is basically few screws and all the necessary tools are included. Make sure to screw the right handle on the right side and the left side on the left side if you want it to go easy. I went up to 19 mph and added my 5 year old son to it, I weighed 220 lbs and went up to 17 mph. The charges last for a while. It's rare that you get more than what you expect.

6. Folding Kick Scooter Adults Kids

Brand: Serenelife

👤Fantastic. The rides are well. I ride with my child when they are on their bike. My daughter has special needs. She is about 170 lbs. She can ride it just fine. Sometimes I don't bother breaking it down because it's not easy the first time, but I love the kickstand, I think it folds up and down reasonably well. It goes fast, the break is easy, and I love the big size of the floorboard. My daughter's foot is a size 9. It was easy to put it together. I could do it myself. I wish I had done that a long time ago. I have had fun in a long time. Get one!

👤This is a top quality scorpion. It's very sturdy, has a strap to carry it, and even has an awesome kickstand. Beautiful design! My kids are 8 and 5 years old, so I like that they can use it. I can ride with them in front if the bars go low enough. The breaks light up. I love everything about it!

👤It was a birthday gift for my son who loved it. I thought it would be an upgrade from his Razor, that still works great but has seen better days after 5 rough years. Quality issues are the reason I'm not a fan. It looks great, rides well, and has great features. The features that sold me on it were disappointing. The kickstand wouldn't hinge up after the first ride because the spring came off. I returned it and received a new one. The strap broke as I picked it up after I removed the plastic from it. The strap has to be removed or connected to the top ring only. My son loves this one and I will not return it. I don't think this will last as long as the Razor. I will not purchase another one.

👤I bought this scooter because it had the largest deck. I thought a good length on the deck would make it easier to place my feet. The area where your foot can reach is the same as all others. I can only fit one foot on the deck, and the other has to either hang off the deck or hover over the brake. The unit is sturdy and rolls well. The graffiti finish is a sticker. You cannot turn off the rear light because it is actuated by movement. You get used to the weird grips. The scooter is a good buy.

👤I've been looking for adult scooters since my girlfriend wanted a scooter for her birthday. I ordered it because it seemed to have great reviews. The package was on it's way when I saw the bad reviews about the scooter tearing apart at the base of the handlebars. I weigh 190 lbs. I stood on it and bounced lightly to make sure I didn't fall. The metal was out of the box in 5 minutes. I went to Lowes and picked up a metal plate, 40 bolts, and 2 large washers for $9, instead of sending it back because I don't have the time. The scooter should be spared from ripping itself apart. I will replace the metal plate with the same width as the scooter. This needed to be done on a brand new scooter.

Brand: Vbestlife

👤Be careful! The order of the wires is not correct. I thought my first unit was dead, but it wasn't. One of the other reviews casually mentions that the pinout in the throttle connectors doesn't match. If you want to remove the contacts from the throttle connector, you have to use a screwdriver or a pair of tweezers. It works great now.

👤I would have given this 0 stars and a return if it wasn't for the other reviews that said the throttle wiring was backwards, now I am giving it 4 stars because it works great for my razor mx350.

👤He came as I advertised on time and it was exactly what I needed for my electrical bicycle.

👤Do not work.

👤This controller is great. The throttle is very well made and adds great Torque to my e scooter.

👤The plugs are not labeled.

👤You need to translate the wiring diagram with the help of the internet. The only thing you need to do is connect a battery pack to thicker red and black wires, motor out to thick blue and yellow, and add a switch to short the red wires. Finally connect the two. It's easy to switch the wires pins on the esc or throttle harness if you use a paperclip. The brake lever input is 2 pins yellow-black. Even though esc doesn't have the capability of charging, the red black input was labeled.

8. Hover 1 Aviator Electric Folding Scooter

The built-in reflectors ensure a safe ride in the dark. The scooter is stable and skid-free because of the disk brake and electronic throttle. The fun e-scooter is reliable and enjoyable for all. They recommend wearing proper safety gear at all times.

Brand: Hover-1

👤I used the scooter a little longer to make sure my decision to return was solid. I like riding this scooter and it looks stylish. The suspension is not very good on bumps. Again, it is the cheap scooter. I'm thinking of going back to get a more expensive scooter. I like the color. I would like to see more scooters with a variety of colors. If you have to go uphill and ride on different types of road, the scooter battery will give you a solid 4 miles. It makes barely 5 m/h when you ride uphill. The speed is on a small hill. I had to help push the scooter with my foot because of the bigger hill on the street. The beautiful scooter is only a toy, but it will not allow you to commute in the city. I got it to replace my car when I need to go to the grocery shopping or my work, but quickly realized that it won't be transportation. I bought the Mi365, which is more reliable and less pretty.

👤The brakes on the scooter went bad a month after I bought it, so they went under the 90 day warranty, and I had to cut wires from the motor and send pictures, and they would send me a new scooter. I bought a scooter with cut motor wires and no response from the manufacturer, so I am very disappointed in this purchase.

👤I received two scooters for Christmas after purchasing them in October 2020. My kids loved them and used them lightly. The scooter's throttle broke this weekend. I submit a ticket through the website and they write it off as out of warranty. I asked if they could help me figure out which parts I need to order. There was no response. I've called the number several times, no one answers. I've tried to find a place that will look at it and can fix it. I've searched for tips on how to fix the issue on the websites, but no luck. I have a piece of garbage that is very expensive. It would be great if the company gave some guidance to its customers instead of leaving them high and dry after the warranty period.

👤The unit failed. The scooter will run for a short time than the brakes will stop it and shut the display off. It will work again after about 10 minutes of sitting. It doesn't feel hot or warm.

👤I love this scooter. I've purchased other ones before, but nothing beats this one's quality... My daughter received it as a gift and she is obsessed with it. It has a smooth ride, and she can't get enough of it.

👤The first scooter I bought was fine until the first fall, the main cable harness was damaged, it was covered by thin plastic, and the first one was working fine until the first fall. The fall was due to the handle bars, you need to add lock tight to make sure kids can't ride without them. The second scooter had a problem with the front wheel locking up, so it had to be returned. I'm not sure if they're good because the scooter looks beautiful and my daughter liked it. I tried to purchase parts to fix the first one but there is no support for the second one. I'm not sure.

Brand: Razor

👤I had to stop riding my bike because of a knee injury. I commute to work from Santa Cruz. I take my scooter with me on the train from San Jose to SF, then I ride the scooter to the ferry building 2 miles away and catch the ferry to Sausalito. I get dropped off at pier 39 by the trip back. It's an 8 mile round trip, dodging people the whole way, and the Razor doe's it with ease. I fell 18 times on this. My only complaint is that you never know when you're going to run out of battery power, so I added a meter.

👤RANGE: The scooter is advertised as going up to 15 mph. The range is about 10 miles. I didn't think the scooter would go 10 miles. My route is almost completely flat, with a total of 20 feet of elevation gain and 13 feet of elevation loss over the entire route. The tires are inflated to 45 degrees. BRAKES: Razor was unable to provide any support other than offering to mail me a new brake lever assembly because the brakes were non-functional on delivery. I was able to figure it out. It takes a long time to stop even when adjusted. The brake adjustment nut appears to be made of soft aluminum. The scooter did not slow or stop as I was coming to a red light because the nut on the brake lever snapped while I was on a ride. There are some things that are TIRES. It's difficult to fill a tire. The poorly designed tube valve extender does not seem to last very long. The rear tire is difficult to inflate. The rear gear assembly was where the valve extender became stuck.

👤I am a 20 year old woman with a 155 pound body who lives alone and is 6 miles from work in Phoenix, Arizona. I used to ride my bike to work and ask people for rides, but my boss became so scared of me riding my bike at midnight-1 AM that he recommended I buy a Razor Electric Scooter. I decided to invest in this puppy instead of buying a Pedego Electric Bike because I was saving up for it. This is the best investment I have ever made. It came exactly the day I was told, and I just had to ask my uncle to put the handlebars in place and leave it to charge overnight. It took me an hour to an hour and a half to get to work on my bike, but this thing got me there in fourty minutes. I was not sweating in the 103 degree weather. The ride was smooth and perfect, the brakes worked well, and I was getting a lot of curious looks. I recommend eye protection for the wind. I am very pleased. I was worried that my last few electronics purchases on Amazon had been duds, but this renewed my faith in buying electronics online. Everyone I know that can't or doesn't drive will be recommended.

👤Small is not good for a young person. The handle bars can weigh up to 120 lbs.

👤My 6 year old grandson had previously ridden non-motorized scooters. He loves it. I waited to write a review to see how it goes. It has been a few months and it is working well. They have not had any problems with it. The scooter fits my grandson well, he is a little on the small side. He has been on motorized things from a young age and this was a no-brainer for him. I don't know if it would be appropriate for other kids. It depends on the child. Helmet and knee/elbow pads are required. I would buy it again.

👤I was excited to give my daughter a scooter for Christmas, but it looked like it was made for a person who was 3 feet tall. I returned this junk because I was very disappointed. The reviews gave it 4.5 stars, but it's not even close to a 1 star. I hope I can find something to make up my daughter's Christmas.

👤My sons received 2 scooters on the 27th after I bought them on May 23rd. It was easy to assemble and work well. One of them broke down. The warranty on these things is terrible. You only get 30 days to return the product for a new one on Amazon, and the part is 3-6 weeks on backorder. I spent $150 plus tax on a scooter for my son, but it sat in the garage for the rest of the summer. The first set of razor scooters we purchased had issues. We will not buy from them again. Shop elsewhere if you want to save yourself some serious frustration.

👤He really enjoys it. Seven years old bought this for Christmas. There are many electric toys we have had. His favorites are this and the hoverboard. It takes a while to charge, but ride time is good. I keep the battery charged. I want to buy an adult size for myself so we can ride together.

👤When it arrived, the box had been opened and re taped. The scooter was dirty and had no charge in the box. I am not a happy person and this was a return from the previous buyer.

👤The first electric scooter. My 7 year old loves it. It's important that he's happy and not too fast for the parents to watch. The kids have a hard time picking up and moving around.

👤I got this for my daughter's 8th birthday. Her first attempt was shaky, but she was 800-273-3217 If your child is taller, the handle bars might be a bit short.

👤The battery life is good and I rode it home with the little one because she wasn't very enthusiastic. It is powerful enough to haul us up a decent hill, and it goes forever, so you would expect it to be stronger. It was actually anazed for what it is.

👤I haven't ridden this scooter in a while. I am enjoying every second of it. I've ridden Bird/Lime rental scooters before so I have something to compare. The main advantages of renting scooters are slightly better power and range, but at the cost of being heavier, not to mention that you never really know what condition the scooter will be in before riding; the battery level, brakes, other adjustments may be less than ideal. I can see why people like this because it's a low commitment option compared to having your own scooter. I prefer having my own place where I can maintain it myself and always know it's ready to go. Like any machine, there is some self maintenance that is unavoidable. I am a 160 pound rider. On my last ride, I went through a college campus with lots of elevation change, starting from a full charge. The scooter performed well with good acceleration and only struggled on the steep hills, it's difficult to walk up these hills for a long period of time. The brakes worked well and I felt in control. I had 3 out of 4 bars, even though I think it may be approaching 2 bars. The handling was able to move around other pedestrians with ease and still hold up at higher speeds. Even though I didn't get a reliable top speed measurement, I was able to reach about 16 mph without full throttle, even though I wasn't able to find a stretch of flat road that was long enough. Rider weight, hill angle, and battery level will be the main factors in determining top speed. TheBattery gauge could have more bars to help show battery level more accurately. It will dip down temporarily while going up steep hills, and then back up once you get to level ground. This is normal. When there is a high demand for electricity, every battery powered device will do this. You are fighting gravity going up hills and it takes a lot of power. It is hard to engage the cruise control with theThrottle being very sensitive. If you want to enable cruise control, you need to hold a steady speed for a few seconds and then remove your hand from the throttle. If you want to disengage, turn the engine on. I didn't know about this feature before I got this scooter, but it is nice to have. If you are going on a long ride, I would use this pin. It's not necessary, but it gives me a bit of mind knowing there's an extra piece of steel in case I don't want it to folding up. It's annoying to have to do it frequently. The next design should have a safety pin. When I realized that the magnetic brake and disk brake were controlled by the same brake handle, I added another brake handle on the other side of the vehicle so that I could control them separately. I used a standard bicycle brake handle and it worked well. They probably went with a simpler design to make it more comfortable for the rider, but I like having the option to use either brake independently or together. The magnetic brake works well overall and provides good stopping power, but it works less and less as you slow down. When I need to come to a complete stop, I only use the disk brake at lower speeds. * If you are comfortable with making such modifications and know that your safety is your own, then you should do this. One thing that annoyed me was the implication that there was a gear system included with this scooter and that "gear" 1 would climb hills better while "gear" 2 would be better for top speed. I could be wrong, but I am certain that this is B.S. and the 1 and 2 refer to an electronic power limiter. I think this feature is great to be able to change it to 1 for someone who is learning and/or a young rider, but I think it's misleading to call it that. I don't plan on opening it up to confirm this, but I have tried going into "gear" 1 to go up hills better and have noticed that "gear" 2 is better for both hill climbing and top speed. There is a weird resonance that happens at a specific speed. It is strange to go from almost completely silent to a louder vibrating sound, but it doesn't bother me. I think it's possible that this is a thing that happens with variable electric motor bikes. If anything else develops, I will update again. I'm still enjoying every ride on this scooter and commute daily. The tire pressure was low. I had to pump them up. The front one is hard to get just right. The tire valve adapter that comes with the scooter is hard to remove quickly enough to not let air out of the tire. I had to practice for a long time to get it. If you can, I would recommend pumping it up to 50psi and then removing the adapter as quickly as possible. It will allow some air out and hopefully stop around 50 psi. I squeezed the back tire with my hands and compared it to the front to make sure it was close enough. The scooter rides differently depending on tire pressure. I feel more bumps when I go faster with normal pressure. Lower pressure will give you a smooth ride, but limit your speed and range. If you release air for more than a second, you will likely already be too low and need to pump it back up. I can fill up the whole tire in a few pumps.
