👤I bought two of them. Our 2k bikes were recently stolen, so I thought they were theft proof. I want my money back. You cannot claim something is theft proof if it is not true.
👤I decided to get a lock on our bikes after they were stolen twice. This lock is great. I think it is impossible for anyone to cut or break it, it is very strong and folds very small, I can attach it to my bike with a holder, and it comes with 3 sets of keys, which is great since I have a duplicate code. If this product keeps me from replacing my bike, it is worth the price.
👤I've been a fan of my Foldylock since the beginning and I love the way it folds up. It's easy to lock up my bike. I found out this past weekend that there was an attempt to cut it off. It kept the thieves away. I'm grateful that the Foldylock held up and I still have my bike, because I live in a city with a lot of bike theft. Highly recommended!
👤If you spend the extra$15, you can get a U-lock. My bike was stolen in broad daylight by someone using an electric saw, after 2 weeks of using the FoldyLock in NYC.
👤This is the worst product I have ever purchased. The thieves broke the lock and took my bike. There is a It is unbelievable that a product promises high security for your bike. $100 was dropped to the trash after buying this product, and $400 of my bike was stolen. $500 was lost.
👤I only used this lock for a week, so my opinion may not be worth much. 1. My bike has not been taken. That is a definite plus. 2. It seems to be well constructed. I would not be able to break my bike with a tool that I own. I do not own any steel cutting tools. I am not a bike thief. Another plus. 3. It is light and connects well to the seat post. Another plus. 4. It was long enough to wrap around a slim post. You might need two people to like each other. I live in Texas. We have big oaks. There is a minor issue. No points. 5. The key and lock are high quality. Not a locksmith, but formidable. 6. If you park next to a guy who locks his bike with something he used with his Huffy, you should be fine. They will look at your lock and take your bike. I am not a bike thief, but I would do that.
👤I'm glad I found this lock after searching. The quality is top notch. The lock is very smooth. It's strong for its size. A quality steel like this can easily stop someone with a medium bolt cutter, which is usually the max size thieves carry. I believe that the best lock is one that you have with you all the time. I usually have to leave the thicker steel kryptonite at home since it's so heavy to carry. I can lock the back wheel and frame with this lock, but not the front wheel and frame. It's not long.
16mm Hardended Max Performance Steel Shackle Resists Hand Tools and Attacks. The dimensions are 4 x 8. If you lose your first 2 keys, you will be able to get a free second one. Up to $4,000 Reimbursement for 1 Year is included in the Anti-Theft Protection Offer.
👤A video shows how easy it is to pick this lock. The insurance guarantee for my bike was null and void on both occasions when it was stolen because the thief took the lock with him. Don't bother buying this lock because of the guarantee, it's not going to help you at all. If you're buying this lock for security, don't bother, your bike will be stolen in broad daylight on a major street sidewalk full of pedestrians who do nothing to stop the thief. I refuse to buy this lock until they guarantee that their new locks have false gates and fixes for easy lock picking.
👤I bought a lock and cable to protect my bike. One of their selling points is that they have theft insurance that you can purchase for an additional cost. I bought it. I filed a claim after the bike was stolen. They took more than two months to process the half page claim form, and then denied the claim because the thief didn't leave the evidence behind. The evidence was left behind by the thief. It's clear that Allegion is engaged in underhanded tactics to avoid paying. They offered to send me a new lock.
👤The product worked well for a while. It rained, the "stainless steel" lock rusted, and now it causes me 5 minutes and a lot of power to remove it from it's sockets. Very disappointed. I'm trying to wash as much of the rust away as I can, but it's not showing well. I don't recommend this product to others. This will be the last lock I buy. The only 16mm locks on the market are not as secure as the 13mm locks, so I would rather use the 13mm locks. My bike has never been taken. My review was changed to a single star. The locking mechanism is not working. I was able to get this piece of garbage to work by yanking it around for about a week, but after spending 30 minutes to get my bike unlocked, I'm not sure if I'll ever use it again. I'm done with this. If the area you live in has no rain, then you should not buy this. There was no sand. Don't buy it. It's garbage.
👤The lock has stopped many robberies. I have a camera on my bike that is locked up outside of my apartment in Brooklyn, and it has survived against crow bars and hammers. I didn't think the price was worth it. This is the longest bike I have owned. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. I have had other parts of my bike stolen because I was not allowed to enter the U BAR.
👤I live in a city that's prone to bicycle theft, so getting a sturdy lock was a priority, and this lock does the trick. Some of the other customers don't mind the weight or size. I bought this because I wanted something that was theft-proof. The lock jams frequently after three months. It is difficult to pull apart a bike. I think there are other people who have this problem. This shouldn't be a problem for a lock like this.
There is a multi-PURPOSE. The cable is 4 feet long and can be used to lock a bike to a tree, fence, railing, or thick pole. The lock can be used for many things. 10mm steel loop cable is for additional security. The cable length is 4" If you lose your first 2 keys, you will be able to get a free second one. Up to $1,750 Reimbursement for Anti-Theft Protection Offer.
👤Don't watch out. If you buy this lock on AMAZON, you can't register it for the anti-theft service through the website. The key on this lock is a "P", which means it's not a series 2, even though it's listed as one. Since the lock doesn't match the key type on your itemized receipt, you can't register it with the same name on the website. It was important to register the lock for the anti-theft program because many people have had their locks broken for security reasons. The lock and key don't match up easily. I had the lock for less than a week because it takes about 15-20 seconds for the key to get into the hole. Four years ago, one of my family members bought a lock that had issues. I thought the experience was normal and that if the lock was a flaw, it would be fixed for the newer models. I was wrong. I don't recommend buying a lock from Kryptonite.
👤I registered the keys at the website after receiving the product. The key number has a letter in it. The website asked me to pick the key prefix, but I didn't choose it. P. I thought it was not a Series 2. I have to give 1 star because the product name on Amazon is false, but I'm sure that this lock will function for some time.
👤I don't think you understand what a lock is, a lock is just to deter the thief, you can break any lock, so stop giving it a 1 star when your bike gets stolen.
👤9x4 inch locks are a great choice for locking up one bike. I tried a mini lock on my bike, but it didn't work because the lock didn't go through the frame and wheel. If you only ever need to lock your bike to a particular rack, those locks might be ok. There are at least two pictures on the site that show a mini lock around the frame and rack. Hmm. I have always been able to lock my bike up at my destination with this lock. The bigger locks are better for one bike. The idea of having to make two cuts through the lock to cut it off is appealing to me. The wirecutter.com review said that is true. The keyway was at one end of the bar where it was easy to see and get to, but the new design puts it in the middle of the bar. The new position is harder to access when the lock is hanging on my bike's rack because it is less visible. I've never used a frame. The key can be difficult to turn. The red tag says "don't force the key", which seems to be a realization of this. Sometimes it's so difficult that I just want to leave my bike unlocked and go somewhere else. This is my fourth bike lock and I have always used it. Maybe I need to work on my technique. I wonder if there are any studies that show that the extra fraction of a millimeter reduces theft. I'm tempted to say nothing would make a difference, but I think double deadbolt would be the difference. I have reduced my rating from four starts to two because it is difficult to turn the key. I've had other people try the key and they all agree it's an epic struggle. It turns out to be the most secure lock I've ever owned because I've been leaving my bike safely at home and walking the half mile to the grocery store rather than having another epic struggle with the key. Sometimes it fools me by turning smoothly, then the next time it won't. If I use this lock, I won't be able to open it with the key again.
The Titanker combination bike lock cable is easy to set and carry. It is easy to set your own personalized number combination with a smart 4-digit resettable coiling cable lock. The cable can be used to lock your bike to a tree, gate, fence, railing, or any other object. It's ideal for skateboards, gates, grills, lawnmowers, sports equipment, tool boxes and ladders. Good performance cable. Flexible steel cables for strong cut resistance help prevent scratching. Never leave your bike locked outside for long periods of time. Especially in high crime areas. There is no bike lock that is 100% secure.
👤A bike lock that makes a thief laugh is fantastic. It's a nice way to start your weekend. You won't be biking to work as your bike has been stolen, and this POS lock did nothing to stop the thief.
👤The bike lock is not very good. After I received the product, I locked it to a bike rack and rode away. The code didn't work when I came back out. I tested the new code before using it and followed the directions to set the code. A maintenance guy drove by. I asked him if he could cut it off with a hack saw, and he did it in seconds. The tubing gives the illusion of being larger than it is, but the actual metal is only about a quarter of the diameter. I wouldn't recommend buying this product.
👤Excellent length and a great bracket. I want a lock that is big enough to do the job but small enough to not get in the way. I want a lock that is easy to attach and detach, and that is held tightly and securely. Many bike locks are too long. Being too long is annoying because the lock will be heavy and bulky and it will be hard to put it back on. His length is the right length for securing the bike to a pole or rack. The brackets are sturdy and well made. The button on the brackets works well. The lock that is attached to the brackets is a good size and sturdy. The combination rotates nicely and has no play in it that would allow a thief to try different numbers to determine the combination. After owning a lock for 18 months, I'm going to buy two more for myself and my wife's bike, and leave this review. Highly recommended.
👤The cable-lock seems to be ok but the carrier brackets are poorly designed. The plastic is weak as soon as I tightened the screws, the corner of the brackets snapped off. The company's customer service sent me a third photo of the redesign. Since I made my own, I have not used the one sent to me, but it appears to be a stronger design than the one that broke. I think their customer service is great. I have bumped my review from 3 stars to 5 stars because of their great service.
👤Although it could have been cut, I was okay with it because I ordered it from UShake. It was difficult to bend when it was cold. I clicked the plastic piece back into place after the side of the lock that was not covered came apart. I was going to unlock it yesterday, but it broke in half. I was surprised. I can't recommend this product or any like it because of my issues.
👤These are better than most I've seen, but no cable lock is high security. The action is smooth and reliable, and the numbers on the dial are high visibility, which is a huge bonus. My family uses them interchangeably to lock their bikes up to a single mountpoint in the garage, because I bought six of these things and set them all to the same combo. It works well. The six foot version has enough reach to lock two bikes at once through their forks and around a shackle, rack, or pole. The lock mount is useless when riding the bike. Only on a full sized adult bike can it fit, and only if you don't have tail lights, or a shock absorber in the seatpipe. That knocks it out for the bikes in my family. If you want to ride with this lock instead of leaving it at home, you'll need to toss it in a saddlebag or backpack, or just lock it looped around your fork. It is easy to bag-pack, even in a small saddlebag, because it is coiling up into a tight loop.
It's secure and portable. The key can only be pulled out when locked up. The bike lock has 2 keys. You can either take one of the keys to use in daily life or leave another at home in case you lose one. Their bike lock is made of heavy-duty steel and has 6mm thicker security chain links. The lock's service time can be prolonged by Lubricate the lock hole and keyhole regularly. Chain is enclosed in a protective cloth sleeve, which protects it from rusting and scratching. Never leave your bike locked outside for long periods of time. Especially in high crime areas. There is no bike lock that is 100% secure. The chain lock is about 3.3 feet long. The links are long and thick. The lock weight is 1.76 pounds.
👤It was really heavy. What really matters is how long it takes to break the chain. I got this chain about a month ago and I have been riding my bike in the street since. I'm assuming people don't notice the chain and leave my bike alone. I parked my bike near a bridge with a little store around and it was kind of a high crime area so the chain did a good job.
👤Since I had my bike stolen, I feel more secure leaving my bike. When I ride my bike, I wear a neck accessory around my neck in case I run into a bad character.
👤I built an e-bike to get back into riding. I mostly use it on shared use trails by my house. I like to ride to the store or other quick errand. I am amazed at the number of people who leave their bicycle unlocked. I bought it. A lock isn't a guarantee that your bike won't be stolen. It is only a deterrent. No matter what name is on the lock, it can still be cut, picked, or pried open. My bike is parked by unlocked bikes. The thieves would take the easiest one and leave me alone. The lock is heavy and rattles when I hit it. The lock side cover has pulled back a bit. While I am locked up, I have heard people snicker, but I still have my bike. Isn't that important?
👤It hasn't been taken, so that's good.
👤The bike lock looked great and had a thick chain, but it stopped working after a month of use. The lock is stuck in place and won't let me open it anymore even though I use it frequently. It was a very disappointing purchase.
👤My son will be going to school this year. He loves it! The locking system is very good and the key doesn't come out until you lock it down. He keeps it wrapped around his bike and says it works.
👤It is very convenient to use. Good quality.
👤I was very impressed with the weight of the chain when I received it, after reviewing many different locks on Amazon. I used it to keep the chain link gate from being opened. I was concerned about how it would hold up in the weather, but I read some reviews that said there were no problems with that. It worked well for the first three weeks after which I saw signs of someone trying to pick the lock. The key was harder to turn and lock when the plastic case cracked. The lock would no longer work after the entire case came apart. The lock should not be plastic and the chain should be heavy duty. Disappointed.
No bike lock is the most secure. Don't leave your bike locked outside for long periods of time. Especially in high crime areas. This is a simple locking mechanism. It is designed to be locked with a bolt. The lock cylinder is made of high quality material, which is durable and wear resistant. The lock cylinder structure makes it hard for thieves to open it with master keys. There is a tangle of steel wires inside the lock, and it is covered with a green coating on the surface. The lock is safe, wear-resistant and anti-rust. The size is 1/2 and 4 Feet. The lock cylinder has a waterproof and dust-proof cover, which can prevent sand, rain, etc. from entering the lock core. The bicycle lock has a spare key that you can keep at home, and one that you can carry at any time. No need to worry about your key being lost. The bicycle lock has a spare key that you can keep at home, and one that you can carry at any time. No need to worry about your key being lost.
👤False advertisement! The metal is very thin. I'm guessing 5/16. Not 1/3. They are trying to count the rubber as 1/2. I wanted a heavy duty bike lock. Resist Reality is an acronym for Resist Reality.
👤A lock with a clever design. The lock is solid and long. Not long or short. There are two keys.
👤The bike was stolen on the first day of use.
👤I like the fact that my bicycle is protected. The material is strong. It was good.
👤This product works well for money. The one I received is not 4 feet long as advertised, it is 43 inches long. I only give it three stars because of that.
👤I've always had to take off my bike to lock it up because the bicycle lock got in my way. It's not a big deal, but it's annoying when I have to uncoil the chain. The design is very clever. The bike chain can be attached completely out of the way with the help of a clamps. If you push a button, the bike will be locked. When it's done, it snaps back into the clamp. Couldn't be more convenient and I've enjoyed not having to think about it anymore.
👤The lock works well. I bought a 4 foot lock and some places I need to lock up my bike do not have a bike rack. There have been times when I needed to lock my bike up to a pole or a table, and 4 feet has just been short. If you spend a bit more you can get the 6 foot lock.
👤The little lock is great. It is portable and fits on a bike. Looks good. If you want a good theft deterrent, I would leave my bike at the train station and lock it up for the day.
You can get your 16mm SigtuNA Bike U lock with 1200mm Flex Cable + Mount Bracket tomorrow if you click "add to cart." 12mm hardened steel shackle resists hand tools. The dimensions are 4 x 8. If you lose your first 2 keys, you will be able to get a free second one. Up to $500 Reimbursement for Anti-Theft Protection Offer.
👤The lock is useless. I had my bike stolen after using this lock. They cut through it with a knife. I am so angry. The name of the brand doesn't mean it will protect your bike. Look somewhere else.
👤My husband and I have a lock. We were worried about the reviews complaining about the lock jamming, but we thought they were just complaining. Both of us have had issues with jamming, but messing for a minute or so with a slight wiggle usually fixes it. We assumed that was what the reviews were about. I couldn't lock my bike because of the jamming issue. I tried for a while. I tried to change the lock on the bike, but I couldn't get it to lock. Thankfully, I was able to bring my bike to my office. I waited and tried again in the afternoon. I was able to get it locked again after messing with it. My husband has never had an issue like this, but I used my lock daily. Maybe the cold was the issue. A lock that doesn't lock is garbage. You can buy a different one.
👤The lock is easy to use. Can someone cut this lock off with a battery operated sawzall? Absolutely they can. They can cut through the lock with the same method. I use this to lock my electric scooter when I go into a store for a few minutes or when I go to the gym. locks only deter lazy theives If someone wants your bike, they will take it.
👤The instructions for the Kryptonite Keeper don't explain how to mount the lock to the bike. I didn't know how to install the mounting hardware. The screws that came with the bike lock were so cheap that the openings for the screwdriver became useless. The quality of the bike lock is questionable due to the poor quality of the screws. I returned it. A bike lock should have mounting hardware that is of the highest quality.
👤When closing the lock, it becomes a problem. The lock needs to sit on the U in order for it to work. That alone isn't enough to close it. The key won't budge when I turn it. I have to pull the lock as if I'm going to remove it, but I only move it up a fraction of an inch, after this the key turns easily without applying pressure. The process is easier if I hold it from the side that has the brackets. If you're forcing the key, you're doing it wrong.
👤It would have been better to make this lock with one of the tines angle so that thieves wouldn't use a jack to break it. The lock mechanism is difficult to use. My is. I'm pretty sure the manufacturer didn't deburr some of the components, so it has a hard time locking. I was expecting a better quality lock. I would happily spend $20 more to get a better lock from a different brand.
Up to $2,500 Reimbursement for 1 Year is included in the Anti-Theft Protection Offer. The vinyl coating is protective. This award winning bike U-lock is made of 16 MM High- Performance Steel and has an 85/100 Security Rating. Sigtuna Locks has the best security available. The bike lock combination has a Double Deadbolt locking mechanism that is very effective and certified against leverage attacks. You should make the right choice and give thieves no chance. The bike lock combination comes with an easy-to-use bike lock mount and 3 laser-cut Abloy Keys. You get security and convenience with this lock. If this U-lock is not the favorite you ever owned, just send it back and get a 100% refund. The companyFkaFka stands for its products. Their customers love that and they know you will too. You can get your 16mm SigtuNA Bike U lock with 1200mm Flex Cable + Mount Bracket tomorrow if you click "add to cart."
👤I had a lock less than 3 weeks that prevented my bike from being stolen. The lock was only damaged by Bolt cutters. The thief tried to open the side of the lock. The security of 16mm steel makes it worth the extra weight of the lock. It hangs from my top tube. The top tube is not a round shape, so it still holds up. The plastic feel of the brackets seems to be well built. I'm very happy with the purchase since I still have my bike. Should I replace my lock? Is this still usable?
👤The bike lock mount makes it much easier to use, the lock is a little cumbersome but the price is the best. Value against price is unbeatable.
👤I was initially concerned that the U-lock was large enough to fit around my frame, rear wheel and a solid object such as a parking meter, bike rack or other such item, but it appears that if the solid object isn't too big it should fit nice and snug with. It was easy to install the U-lock on my bike. I connected the cable with a carabiner to solve the problem because the cable ends would get in the way. The U-lock and cable on my bike are out of the way so they don't interfere with my riding. I believe that the lock is adequate security for most areas, except for high crime areas such as some inter-cities or other high crime areas. There should be additional security measures taken in that case. I believe that the Sigtuna U-lock provides as good of security as some of the more expensive locks, as the U-lock diameter is a bit larger and would require additional force to cut. The locking mechanism seems to be solid and should be resistant to being forced or picked. If you need to secure your bike in a high crime area, then consider some additional security measures.
👤Since I needed a solid bike lock, I decided to take a chance. The lock feels solid and sturdy out of the box, it's looking like a good buy. I should have known I was in trouble when I opened it and locked it in the living room. After a day or two of testing the lock in my home, I was able to open it consistently, even though the lock was jamming and wouldn't open right out of the box. I regret buying this lock. My bike is locked in the parking garage because the lock is jammed after two days of use. The locking mechanism in the US is not affected by the key twists and turns. I will probably need someone to cut it because no amount ofWD-40 has been able to save me. My bike is not going anywhere.
👤Don't buy! I used this lock at least 3 times and it never got wet. The lock was jammed when I used it again, but it was nice out. I followed the recommendations in the question section but didn't get it unlocked. The lock manufacturer didn't respond to my email for over a week.
The 18mm Hardended Max Performance Steel Shackle Resists Hand Tools. The dimensions are 25" x 6". If you lose your first 2 keys, you will be able to get a free second one. Reimbursement for 1 year is included in the anti-theft protection offer.
👤Someone tried to steal my bike, so I beat them with my lock. It is durable.
👤If you didn't register your New York Fahgettaboudit lock within 15 days of purchase, you should start saving for a replacement bike. A friend came back to find it gone after he met it in Chinatown. The policy of Kryptonite is tough. I know legalities. It's different when you can't stand by your product because it's 3 days beyond warranty registration deadlines, which aren't even clear or broadcasted. If you want a lock that does the job, I would suggest you look at the delivery guys in NYC. 100lb chains and quick reflexes.
👤After my lock broke down, the warranty department didn't respond to my emails for a couple of months, maybe they will see the negative review and finally respond.
👤The design of the keyhole cover is terrible. It's so flimsy that it arrived broken out of the box. There is no excuse for the design on this. The cover should be riveted to the metal and then sealed with a yellow covering. They cheaped out so badly that two screws on the outside went through the yellow covering. They drilled two additional holes that expose the internal mechanism to water instead of just the keyhole. The problem is worse. The screws do not screw into the metal of the cylinder, but into a cheap piece of plastic. This lock is more expensive than a child's toy, and they rig the plastic around the keyhole worse than a toy. This will let water in and cause the mechanism to rust. obsolescence is planned
👤I'm away from them and need to secure high dollar bicycle investments. I use different lock/chain/u-locks in order to maximize deterrence and slow down thieves the most. If given enough time, a determined thief will eventually defeat any security measure, so I chose to go with the New U New York Fahgettaboudit Mini in conjunction with the New York Disc Bike Lock. I use American Lock A700 and Master Lock 931 padlocks to secure my other bikes. The 25 year old bent-end Kryptonite long-shackle U-locks in my collection have been used to secure my extension ladders and utility boxes. The toughest U-lock in the world will be on my list of locks to acquire by the end of 2019. The Abus Granit Extreme is 59. Replacing the bikes will be worth it, even though it is pricey. A small investment may prevent a big expenditure in the future. Bike thieves, thanks for reading and for sharing your stories.
👤I've had a bike lock for a long time. I have never had my bike stolen while I ride around Brooklyn or Manhattan. A few years ago, I found the lock and steel completely unaffected, even though the rubber casing had been cut open. The thief was stopped. Thought it was expensive. It costs me about $8 each year for it, and it shows no sign of slowing down.
👤It's the best overall lock you can buy, especially when you live in NYC. Any bike is the closest thing to safe as far as locks go, and an expert bike thief is going to take your bike if they desire to. The color scheme is immediately recognized and deters thieves with amateur tools. The lock on the "U" needs to be severed. One end will not swing open. The key seems to work well so far. It's heavy and compact, but there's no way around it. The lock does not fit around my rear tire, a thick pole, and my seat tube because of the compact "U" design. The lock around the rim/pole/seat stays is improvised. I don't intend to ever have my bike locked up for long periods of time so this lock is very satisfactory, but 2 different locks that would require different techniques for a potential thief is your best bet.
Refer to the battery care instructions. 16mm Hardended Max Performance Steel Shackle Resists Hand Tools and Attacks. The dimensions are 4 x 10. If you lose your first 2 keys, you will be able to get a free second one. Up to $4, 000 Reimbursement for 1 Year is included in the Anti-Theft Protection Offer.
👤I put the lock on my bike on the bike rack outside of my apartment. My bike was taken four days later. The thieves were able to open the lock. It seems like they tried to judge by the marks on the lock. I tried to put the lock back together but it didn't fit back in since it was technically locked. Their warranty is not valid for used bikes since they require a receipt. I don't recommend this lock to anyone. Terrible product.
👤I have a mini-u-lock and chain from Kryptonite and will probably use that one instead of getting another U-lock. The one was cut with a power saw. There is broad daylight in the middle of the street. The lock is done, but I managed to get the bike back. It's not better than any other, maybe it slows down the cutting by a minute or two?
👤The frames of our bikes are thick, and the first two locks aren't long enough, so I bought one of these to try out. I've had a bike stolen, and I've been very cautious since. We have two of these bikes and this is the second lock that I've bought. The locks will only go from the frame to a stationary object, when used to lock the bike to that fixed object, but at least they will do that. A long version lock is more expensive than one which is similar. This is probably heavier. We need to add other protection for the wheels, but at least this is a start. It won't stop a determined thief with the right tools, but at least it would slow him/her down, and make stealing our bikes less attractive. If my review helped, please click the button.
👤The bike mount is junk and you cannot ride it because it is a strong lock. You can't put it on the bike because the lock knocks against your legs, the tires, or the spokes. I cut it off and threw it away because I had no tools to use. Don't be frustrated.
👤If you own an electric kick scooter, you know that bike rack locking can be a pain. I thought I'd only use it in the roughest neighborhoods when I bought this lock. I found the convenience of this lock to be very beneficial. It's not a cure all, but it's a good size for many bike racks. The scooter is protected across the deck. The only security flaw I can think of is that thieves can see your scooter in half. I am really happy that I own this lock, it weighs almost 5 pounds and hurts the battery on your scooter, but I think it's worth it.
👤This is my second New York U lock, the other being the smaller one. Before you buy, make sure you look at the weight. You know what you're getting into. The smallest U lock works for your bike. The smaller NY Fahghetaboutit is enough for a road tire, frame, and a normal bike rack or meter post. You don't want space in there, it allows for a jack to be inserted to break the lock. The bigger one is needed for larger tires. I have a 700x52c tire for my bike. This is the best I've seen for slowing them down, or at least sending them to an easier target, because a determined bike thief can get through any lock setup.
The cable of the bike lock can be used to lock your bike to a tree, a fence, or a railing. The cable bike lock can be used for a lot of things. The bike cable lock is suitable for kids, girls, boys and women, and is available in 10 different colors, including black, blue, pink, purple, green, orange, baby orange, baby pink, grey and white. A bike lock with a smart 4-digit resettable coiling lock is easy to set. It's a combination lock and it saves you a lot of trouble, like carrying the keys all the time. Flexible steel cables for strong cut resistance help prevent scratching and keep the bike lock more durable. It's easier to place the lock with the upgraded mounting brackets. Warm tips: This bike lock is best used for basic security. Don't leave your bike locked outside for long periods of time. Especially in high crime areas. There is no bike lock that is 100% secure.
👤I liked this lock at first. It did its job. It was easy to setup. It's lightweight. I used this lock while biking to work. The bike was gone after my shift. The lock was still in place. The wire looks like it came from the dollar store. Someone had a great idea to put a tube around it and attach a combination lock from your 10-year-old's diary, then paint it different colors to appeal to the buyer's eye. This security slinky could be torn apart by a gardening shear. If you don't want your kids getting into your secret magazine collection but still want your lock to be great, invest in a better lock.
👤The lock on the cable was pulled out. Do not buy a cable lock if you want to prevent your bike from being stolen.
👤I love my hair! I have two now. They are easy to set and the soft plastic cover on the outside does not scratch my expensive bikes. Thanks!
👤If it was difficult to get it locked up, I used this a number of times. I spent half an hour trying to get it to open, but it didn't. I had to finangle the scooter out from the lock and still tried to get the lock to open. I had nothing to cut it off, so I left it where it was. If I couldn't get it out, I would be very upset. I looked on here for a way to reset it, but there was nothing. This is a very common issue and it's not cool. Bikes and e-scooters aren't cheap so this is completely unacceptable. I looked at many of the reviews and saw nothing that was related to this, but when I looked in the question section, I saw this problem. The lock turned out to be a total loss to me very quickly.
👤Great lock. It was easy to use. It's strong and long enough to fit around a gate.
👤My son got a new bike for his birthday. His bike is black and orange. He was very excited that I found a lock for him and that it was very easy for him to do. It clips onto the bike. When ordering, I missed that detail. It has a special attachment that clips onto your bike and your child doesn't have to try to keep it away from their feet while pedaling. I love this product. Will purchase again next time we need a lock.
👤The holder was easy to assemble. It's nice that your bike won't get scratched because of the rubber inserts. It's very easy to set your lock combination. I'm very comfortable leaving my bike locked up while I shop or hike. I chose orange because it is very vivid. I would recommend this lock.
👤I wanted a lock on the front bike wheel that would deter front wheel thieves, they are opportunists, but lately with all the loot happening around the country, I am concerned. I have a cheaper 6ft cable lock that I use to keep saddles from being stolen, but it's not very strong for a front wheel and can be cut with a pair of hands. I can put the Titanker on my top and down tube and take it off quickly. I like that I can set the combo, as I already have too many. I already have another Titanker U-lock for the last year and am pleased with it, so I am considering replacing my current U-lock for a combo instead, I have forgotten to bring my keys or lost them before in my. It's 4 feet long, light weight and perfect for what I need it for. I would buy again. If this fails within a year or two, I will update the review. If you have a key lock, make sure to close the key cover when riding because road dirt can easily jam it. The combo dials are made of plastic and can be broken and locked up. I want this combo cable lock to deter front wheel theft, but I also need to use it when there is no bike rack available, or my current U-Lock is difficult to lock securely, so I will use the cable and Sorry Titanker. I had to change my rating to 3 stars. If I hadn't had 5 bikes stolen in 25 years, thieves jumped a fence, entered through a side door, and stole the bikes from my garage. I am a little uneasy. I will look for a better product and pay more. The process of using my steel cable looped through front wheel and hooked on Titanker U-lock is a little more time consuming, but it's worth it for the sense of security. Back to the drawing board.
