👤I bought it because I no longer have to make sure I have gas on hand and I can not use something that I have to plug in because I live in the country side. If you live in a small area, this may work.
👤I have been using BnD battery powered lawn equipment for 20 years. My wife was safe from them. They worked well and were easy to deal with. Yard tools have a risk. I only used it once and it may not be a fair test. I wouldn't let my wife use it. The super string they want you to use broke 3 times and was hit by one. The two that broke off were in the hub. If you're over 60, you'll need a magnifying glass for the instruction text size. The shield is not as big as the old ones.
👤My husband and I tried to put the guide wire in the black holes using the written instructions. There are no black holes. The pictures in the instructions are not helpful. I called the toll-free number and was put on hold. I had to hang up. Please help!
👤So far, it's very light and compact.
👤The battery on my old string trimmer was about $50. The trimmer had a spare spool and cover for the string, two batteries that could run for a longer time, and a little more. I have only used it once, but it was a pleasure. Powerful, easy to use, and long running. I'm not getting any groovies for this review, but they already included all the extras I would want.
👤It took me a while to put it together. It works great once you learn how to set the edger. The edging is very nice. I zoom in on the sidewalk.
👤It's for a small yard and I need a bigger mower because I have an acre of weeds.
👤I have had weed whackers from Black and Decker before. The brand is junk. The twine feed is the only thing that works on it. I tried to use one battery. I shipped it back to Amazon. Junk is pure.
The warranty is limited to 5 years. You can easily convert from a trimmer string to a wheel edger in just seconds. The Command Feed system has a push button. Free Spools for Life. Do it all with the same battery. Worx Power Share is compatible with all Worx products. The batteries for the 20V Power Share MaxLithium can be used on any other tool in the WORX PowerShare family. You can get to tough-to-reach places on sloped terrain. Straighter lines and cleaner cuts can be given by support and guide the edger. You don't damage plants, landscape features, and lawn ornaments while you're trimming. 7600rpm no-load speed, 12” cutting diameter, 5.3 lbs. The cutting line length is 0.065” and the machine weight is 10.
👤I have an unfortunate amount of yard work. I gave up on the gas-powered weed trimmer that was leftover from my marriage. I spent more time figuring it out than trimming. My back and shoulders were killed. With gas powered yard machines, I don't know how much oil to mix, what kind of gas to put in and so on. I'm not a mechanical person. My quest for an easier and lighter weed trimmer began. I landed on this Worx Trimmer because of reviews on Amazon and other marketplaces. After three mowing cycles, I have used the weed trimmer. No regrets so far. It's economical. The second battery is very useful because I have almost an acre of yard. If I decide to get a third battery, I can get one for about 40 dollars. I took out the four-year warranty for less than five bucks, which was an added bonus for the mechanically challenged. How does it perform? I like it. A friend of mine stopped by and said how nice the yard was. I have a health issue that causes chronic pain and the trimmer is lightweight. The lack of weight is a huge relief compared to the amount of weight the gas trimmer has. I have enough to take care of my yard, even though the batteries will lose steam. A child could easily feed line. I need to say more. I went back and forth with this brand and another that starts with a B. I didn't know about this brand. So glad that I chose the Worx. It will work for you if it works for me. If you found my review helpful, please click/tap the yes icon. Thank you so much!
👤It's great for a small property. The string that came with it should be changed. It's weak and needs to be fed. I use the.80 string from DeWalt and it is better than the.worx string that comes with it. You just have to tap it quickly, while running, it will pause. It will advance a few times when you need more string. The batteries could last longer, but they only give you two of them. It's not a big deal. It would be an issue if they gave you one battery. The edger feature gives you clean looking lines. Keeping that line straight is not the fault of the tools. It's very flexible in terms of comfort, so you can make it fit your body size. It's light enough. This is a great tool for a person with a small property, as long as they have some heavier gauge string. 99 dollars is a good price for a decent weed whacker. I have a corner property in the suburbs so I have plenty of grass. I can edge it all with one battery.
👤This isn't a gas mower. You can enjoy the benefits of this gem once you get that in your head. I've always had gas trimmers. I hated the destruction of fencing, siding, and edging. I have never liked getting hit in the shins with rocks and mulch chips. I don't like ringing in my ears or vibrating hands, they are not on my list of fun things. The little 20V trimmer is able to address all those issues. It cuts the grass, even though it isn't as powerful as a gas trimmer. What more do you need? It is a lot lighter. It has less noise. It is very quiet. The lack of power is a benefit. It's much easier to control a more detailed cut. The flip over edging feature is great for lining out your natural edges on landscaping beds. I know what you are thinking, how long do the batteries last? I have a quarter acre with large beds, a fence, curbs, a fire pit, and five trees to trim. This thing does them all and has enough in reserve to run my Worx blower on all the surfaces now covered with grass. Would I buy this if I were a commercial landscaper? Nope. Would I buy it if my yard was bigger? I only use one battery now. It comes with two. I have no regrets. The gasser is at a garage sale.
The Powerworks XB batteries are compatible with the blower. This blower does not work with Powerworks 20V batteries. A 48-11-1880 battery is included.
👤The sale page says an HD9.0 battery. They didn't bother to give me any money back after I received a XC8.0. The battery is at least 65 dollars cheaper. You have been warned. Sellar says that there is a mistake on the page. That means that all of them are getting different batteries. This was done to make a profit. Don't support it and go somewhere else. They might try to scam you in other ways.
👤I bought this trimmer on Amazon because it was cheaper than my local store. There is a The one at the local store only sold the trimmer with the XC 8.0 battery, so I went with the one that was listed at a lower price, and it came with a HD 9.0 Ah battery. Better deal? I opened the box and found a XC 8.0. Ah battery. I feel like I was lied to. The higher capacity battery would last longer if the 1.0 Ah difference is correct. I can't complain about comparing the two items. I saved some money. The device is quieter than a gas powered one and it still does a great job trimming on the low powered setting. I used half of the battery to cut for about an hour of continuous use on a fully charged battery. I bought this and would recommend it.
👤Compared to gas trimmers, it was quiet. The battery lasts a long time for my borders. I can go twice. Gas trimmers are good for grass, but not so good for young brush shoots. milwaukee tools are built to last and are not the lightest. The shoulder strap should have been included. A happy customer. The batteries from my other tools work with this.
👤The weed eater had a bad battery.
👤This is a thing that I love. It's much easier to deal with a gas powered weed eater. I keep my battery charged and I'm ready to go whenever I need to. It has a turtle and rabbit. It's great for tidying up around the yard. I've made the best investment in lawn care products.
👤Better than expected. The cutting string that came with it didn't break when I hit the weeds and grass, it was very powerful. It lasts for all of my yard and helps balance the tool well if you have an HD 12 battery.
👤It's easy to maneuver and the battery life is good.
👤This thing works better than my Weedeater. My wife will use it because it's light and she doesn't have to worry about cranking or gas.

The battery powered weed eater's length can fit different user needs. The handle can be adjusted up and down.
👤I was hoping for something that was easy to use and effective. It is not very fancy. The blades won't work near the fence or the house. Or a metal fence post. The replacement blades are not effective and will break quickly. I wanted to find metal blades. It is good for short people and someone who can't hold on to a trimmer. The trimmer won't work long enough to get tired. I am very disappointed that it is being sold for a high price and can't be returned. I think a product that can't be returned is not effective. I will be more cautious when buying things without a return policy.
👤I posted this on reviews because I didn't know where to turn for help since my product doesn't show up on the product support page. There are no instructions on how to charge the battery. I see a place where the charger fits but I would like to know how long it takes and what the red buttons are on the thing. I don't think someone who has charged a battery before knows these things. The model number YY-GCJ00 is not visible on the box or on the trimmer, even though the instruction booklet lists it. The number next to it says it takes 30 minutes. It says the battery is 12V-98VF. No-load. The time is about 2 hours. There is a 36T max V written on the battery that came with the trimmer. I couldn't find any information about how to charge this battery. There is no web address in this booklet that I can use to access more information. I want to try it before I return it. Is anyone able to give advise? I decided to fit the charging point into the only place it appeared to fit on the battery and let it charge until the green light came on. I put it on the trimmer and it lasted only 15 minutes. The plastic blade that was for grass broke when it nicked a rock. The metal blade was installed after I charged the battery again. It worked, but not very well. I extended the shaft as far as I could, but I'm only 5'5". It would be a problem for a taller person. I got a reply from the seller telling me how to charge and install the battery, after I figured it out myself, and I was offered a video showing me how to use it. I decided to return it because I don't think it will work for me. The nut holding the blade loosened a bit after less than 10 minutes. Of use.
👤The product does not work as advertised. It is a piece of junk. They are not easy to replace when they break. Look elsewhere.
👤Light weight could easily be trimmed on the side of a hill.
👤This is not a lawn mower or weed eater. There are some clever features in this toy. I like the way the unit adjusts for angle and height. The batteries are working. The drawbacks are overwhelming. The grass cut is about the size of a hand and less than half the size of a string-operated weed eater. None of the blades are real quality and they don't hold up to minimal resistance to vegetation. They break easily and are not as effective as expected. They work when there are a few blades of grass sticking up but the unit lacks enough power to cut through normal growth. Don't waste your money. This is not ready for prime time.
We have you covered. The Snow Joe is behind your new grass shear/hedge trimmer. New, powered products will be valid for two years from the date of purchase. There were no questions asked. Contact Snow Joe. The line diameter is 0.065 inch. The power drive transmission has increased Torque. There are two speed control for more power. The maximum initial battery voltage can be measured without a workload. TheNominal voltage is 18. The easy feed allows you to advance your line with a push of a button. Part of the MAX System is endless tasks. For your style, power. The POWERCOMMAND Family of tools helps solve common user problems when using outdoor power equipment. LB2X3020 20V is included with the LSTE523 20V MAX Cordless Trimmer/Edger. The MAX extended battery has a Charger, a Spool, and a Guard.
👤The LSTE525 has a pair of 1.5 Ah batteries, but the LSTE523 has a single 3.0 Ah battery. I have a bunch of 1.5 Ah batteries for my other Black and Decker 20V. There are devices with a max capacity. The 3.0 Ah battery has a 400mA charge, whereas the normal charge is 200mA. This is the model to get if you want a higher capacity battery to use for other devices. I was able to clear my yard of weeds and even edge the front lawn with one of the 1.5 Ah batteries I had, because I ran my LSTE523 in Mode 1 and used one of the 1.5 Ah batteries. I'm not sure why others said their batteries only lasted 20 minutes. I was able to run it for more than 20 minutes. The front and back yards are battery-operated. The unit is easy to use. It takes half a second to switch to edger mode. The unit takes 0.065 string and has a small amount of clear trimmer line. I didn't need to extend the line. The power of the motor on the lowest power setting was what impressed me the most. It made short work of thick grass that my mower couldn't reach. I hated using the gas trimmers. They were heavy, hard to start, and smelled terrible. The 3.0 Ah is the best for the bigger battery and faster charging.
👤The weed eater is easy for women. You don't have to worry about it. You can weed around your house and flowers. Push the button and leave. It's very easy and it's the right weight. I should have bought it a long time ago. I have one charge and weed everything I want. Here are some pictures to show you how easy it is.
👤I read all of the reviews and bought a Black & Decker corded string trimmer. 1. I tried to use the battery, but it was fully charged. I've done both front and back yards without charging it back up. I want to know how long I can go between charges. 3. The lower power/longer run time setting is strong enough to trim along the borders of the grass. 4. The button works well. A tap is all you need to get more string. 5. I found the exact same model of string trimmer at Lowe's for less than I paid for it. This was a win for me.
👤For a month and a half, everything worked well. It will no longer turn on after about 5 uses. The battery charges are fine, but it won't turn on anymore. This happens 2 weeks after the return period. The customer support person told them to bring the unit to the local service center. I looked up the address and found it had been closed down. B&D support only works M-F 8-5EST, so should have looked it up before the weekend. Will have to wait until Monday to figure out what to do next. The product failed so quickly and there was limited support. I would love to return the product and get my money back. I feel like I'm going to be out $90+, which is really unfortunate. Will update this post if there are any changes.
The combo kit allows you to keep your walkways and driveway clear of weeds and grass. The power of 12” shredding mower is through the toughest grass and weeds. The auto feed head is for quick and easy line advancement. The leaf barrow has a 390 CFM air flow and a speed of over 120 mph. Control of air flow is provided by a variable speedtrigger with cruise control. Light weight design and superior ergonomics allow for reduced user fatigue. Push button start is easy to use. The battery can be charged in 60 minutes. The leaf blower and string trimmer is maintenance free, with no gas, oil, or emissions. It starts immediately, is quiet, and has the power you need.
👤The cord wore through the grommets on both sides. How this got past R&D is beyond me. It is almost impossible to find a replacement part for the combo pack. Green Works gave me the part number after I called them. The expense to replace is mine because Green Works considers wear and tear to be normal. The Weed eater is only about 4 months old and this happened on the first spool of cord. I will have to buy a new weed eater because this part is attached to the pool housing. I have never written a review about a product before. I made a mistake buying this.
👤The brand is junk. The blower only runs for 4 seconds and shuts off for 10 seconds, then starts again and runs for 4 seconds, until you want to throw the POS back across the pond to China. The trimmer worked well until the battery refused to cooperate and it only worked for Charing. I contacted greenworks and they said their policy is too much work. I get better results by using the blower for 4 seconds at a time. Good luck to consumers.
👤Assembly was easy. The battery came to a full charge in less than an hour. I don't have to mix gas or deal with the gas trimmer not starting, it's not much lighter than my small gas trimmer. I trimmed everything I trim with my gas trimmer half a charge because of the battery charge indicator. It would have taken 1/3 of a tank of gas to power my gas trimmer. It's not as good as my small grass trimmer when it comes to cutting the heavy stuff along the shore of the lake, where grass is a couple of feet tall. You have to start at the top and work your way down. The cutting power diminished as the battery charge increased. It was fine. This isn't going to work for the entire charge. I think it will work at 1/3 charge. When moving from one area to another, I kept the Trigger depressed. The line seems to be more durable than the stuff I use for my gas trimmer. The advertisement doesn't tell you which replacement you need. I bought a dual line feed at Amazon that said "fits all dual line auto-feed Greenworks trimmers" but it doesn't work with this trimmer. I can't find the one that works with this trimmer on Amazon. The correct part number is 31101724.
👤I put the product in use immediately after receiving it. My learnings are here. My yard is 1/3 of an Acre with a pool, trees and obstacles. This is a deal. The yard is prepared for summer and the power is adequate with a 2.0Ah battery. Light trimming and edging will do my yard. Only for the 2.0Ah battery. The Blower will do a good job for a small area. If the grass is 12 to 15 inch high, the trimmer can handle it. Still good. I have a lot of tools and equipment. I don't know how long it will last. I will update in a year. I recommend combo for normal size of yard. I will be buying a battery for a trimmer. It is easy to clean and maintain. You need to get handle of the auto string feeding. I like it so far.
The state of charge indicator is on both units. Products are compatible with their system. The Outer Rotor BL Brushless Motor direct-drive system has high power and increased Torque. Automatic Torque Drive Technology mode shifts from 3,500-6,500 RPM for extended run time or added power. There are 3 speed options for power management. The swath is for increased productivity. Includes a trimmer head loaded with a quiet line.
👤If you have used a string trimmer before. You would be hard pressed to find better. I love my Makita tools, including the drill, impact driver, and reciprocal saw. I am a 65 year old great grandmother. The trimmer is easy to use. Push a button and quietly trim it. The motor is on the end of the trimmer. The tap and go trimmer mechanism is on the other side of the trimmer. I have been using a gas powered dolmar trimmer for a decade. The trim head uses a single strand of string. The recommendation is.08 to.09 string. The string that came with the trimmer was like trying to trim grass with pasta. The string pops out when it gets low. The length of string that is not usable is the same length as it is required to do my 2 acre lot. I believe I read that Makita bought out Dolmar. If that is true, Makita probably owns the rights to the trimmer head. The one strand trimmer head would be a better option than the tap and go. I love the trimmer. The tap and the trimmer head are things that I don't like.
👤I will write a detailed review over the next couple of months as I use it more. It's easy to assemble and sturdy construction, with batteries it's not as heavy as expected, balanced and easy to use in tighter places. The glasses are not sharp. Give me something to look cool and not a cheap plastic pair for 350. There are stickers on the outside of the box. The item was not in my box. Nothing missing. The price is steep. It ran for 45 minutes on the 5.0 battery. I would try the 6.0 battery. I think they would get the job done in one place. This one is easier to use than the gas version I owned. No more mixing or storing fuel. You won't wake the neighbor on a Saturday morning because of the low noise.
👤I watched a lot of videos comparing weed trimmers. I already own a chainsaw. It is great. I decided to get a Makita trimmer after watching a few videos and seeing it came with 4 batteries. I have used it for several days and it has enough power to cut weeds. The lowest speed works well for most trimming. I used the highest speed for the thick stuff. The battery life is good. I trimmed for over an hour and a half using a variety of power levels. Any job can be done with two extra batteries. I enjoy picking it up and turning it on. There was no gas, rope pulling or noise. The noise from the trimmer cord is very quiet. Four batteries, long run time, plenty of power, and low noise make this a winner for me.
👤There are great features, automatic, reverse, 3 speeds and balanced. I'll update this review in a few months, it's early in my ownership. It works so far. I did a yard clean up to see how it works. Well balanced. The automatic feature lets the trimmer decide which speed is needed. As demand increases, the speed increases to match the load. It feels comfortable to use. It was a great deal with the batteries and double quick charge. I can use the batteries with my tools. It's very convenient to not have a special battery or charging station. This is my favorite weed wacker I have ever had. I will not buy a gas weed wacker again. I also got a 36 Volt blower.
40V 2Ah Li-Ion battery and charger are included. Automatic Feed Spool technology of the edger/trimmer eliminates bumping for hassle-free line feeding that helps you work without interruption. The grass cutter's powerdrive transmission and 6.5 Amp motor give it maximum performance when trimming through the toughest weeds. The wheeled edge guide converts from lawn trimmer to wheeled edger. The lightweight design has height positions that provide maximum comfort and control. Accidental cord disconnection is prevented by the cord retention system. A 14-inch path is used to get the job done. Rpm is 8000rpm.
👤I ordered an electric trimmer and mower to use this summer. With my husband deployed to the middle east, I decided I needed something easy to use that was still functional. We've used Black + Decker's brand in the past with smaller power tools and felt they were a good investment. I'm happy to say I'm not disappointed after one use. They were easy to assemble and I trimmed our yard in a few minutes. My husband is going to have to fight me to use these tools when he gets back because handling things alone is less daunting.
👤The unit I bought was to replace a dead gas-powered trimmer. As long as one remembers a couple of admonitions, it runs very well. 1. It is not made for swamps and underbrush. It's for lawn and landscaping. The motor has a rating of about 1/2 horsepower. It's not designed for lumberjacks. 2. The head should not be put in the middle of the patch to be trimmed. Slowly move it into the area. Don't force it into the grass or weeds. Let it do what it does. Stressing it can lead to failure. Don't expect miracles. It's 50 bucks. Pricing the beasts used by the pros is a good idea.
👤I finally got tired of pulling on a gas one and didn't want to deal with maintaining batteries. I chose the largest Amps. The trade off is pulling an extension cord as I edge the yard. The roller is permanently fixed and I use it to guide me around my fruit trees. The no bumping auto feeders were easy to use. The initial 30' of cord lasted only an hour, because the unit uses 0.065” cord and a lot of it.
👤Even though the length of the shaft is adjusted, I still end up hunching over to use the trimmer. I'm tall. That is more of a defect than the trimmer. The autofeed works great, it eats most everything I throw at it. The motor is powerful, so make sure to wear eye protection when cutting up against a wall or rocks. Or other difficult things. When trimming against the house, I learned to bark through my nose.
👤Light weight and well balanced, great weed whacker. I got 2 years out of the last one. The longer guarantee was bought by me this time.
👤I've always had gas trimmers. Very impressed with it so far. I was surprised at how well it cuts. It's easy to use. After using for a long time, there was no shoulder or back pain. The wheel makes it easy to edge. Since it collapses down, it's easier to store.
👤The ease of assembly and use on this thing is amazing, but it broke after a day of use. You will wonder why it has been so hard to replace the trimmer spool. The problem is that the auto string dispensers rely on a flimsy little latch that will break as soon as dirt or debris gets in it. I wouldn't count on it if you were only doing the lightest work. The ground cover weeds that grow up between the pavers broke when I was trimming them. Nothing that should have killed it.
While you're working, the cord retention system protects against accidental unplugging. The electronic weed eater without string comes with 2* 21V Lithium batteries, which can run continuously for about 45-60 minutes for cutting thin weed. It is not fully charged during shipment for safety so please charge before use. When not in use, keep the battery fully charged. There are three types of blades for the weed wacker, plastic, metal and steel. The Cordless brush cutter is supported by a reliable motor that delivers 450W high-power and a superior run-time of 18000rpm. It's easy to use and weighs 3.6 pounds. It can be used by both men and women. TheCordless weed cutter has a long telescopic shaft which is on-demand for all. The rubber handle is comfortable. Double switches require the user to press the safety button and start simultaneously, which avoids misoperation and potential risks. A spacer avoids contact with rocks. If you have a problem with their product like battery issue or blade replacement, please feel free to contact them and they will reply within 24 hours. They are here to fix the problem.
👤I like the tool. It's battery is so low that you can understand. It did perform after running for a while. You have to take your time. It will get the job done if you work little at a time or slow feed. I have a battery issue. One does not hold full power strength and the other does not. The quality of batteries is not the same when I switch to second battery because the RPM's are faster and can take more pressure. I had to get rid of IVY patches for the first time, but it was not very strenuous. I backed off and did not go down again. ivy vines have a max of 1/4" branches. Any thickness is most any. If you're not using a professional landscaping tool, it's worth the buy, but for little projects and maintenance, it works well.
👤I used the battery life for about half an hour and it held up. Do you know about the longer time frames?
👤It's lightweight and has a handle. It's handled neglected yard trimming well and would recommend ordering extra batteries and charging stations for larger yards. It's disability friendly due to the light and quiet. Definitely recommend. It has helped me to help with yardwork again.
👤This is my first stringless trimmer and it is so much less work than fighting and string reloading.
👤I wouldn't buy something they take battery again only because I have a large area to work on and both of these batter only last me 30 min not worth it.
👤This tool worked well for a while. The saw blades are useful, but there is not much Torque with a battery-powered tool of this type. Under heavy use, the battery life is limited. The plastic holder for extension is too fragile for the required jobs and broke in short order. This needs to be strengthened. I had to put it in place with duct tape. Really!
👤The seller is responsive to concerns, which is appreciated. The product works as advertised.
👤The button that needs to be pressed to start is fine for right handed people, but I have to change hands a lot. It's in an inconvenient place. The button in the bottom or in front is more convenient. I like keeping my yard trimmed, but I have to do it in stages. I'm very happy with the purchase and price.
Easy fatigue-free operation with multi-fingertrigger pull. 12 in. The path has a dual line auto feed head. When you need power, there is a variable speedtrigger. It was designed for superior balance. The auxiliary handle has been adjusted for added user comfort. It is compatible with the Greenworks G-MAX 40V. The Li-Ion system can be used for longer run time and higher efficiency. The battery and charger are included. Your investment is protected by a 4-year tool warranty and a 2-year battery warranty.
👤I like the line trimmer. Not having to mix gas and oil is a plus. Their lack of support is the reason for the one star review. The battery has a charge indicator. I called support because it did not work. You never knew if you had been disconnected when you were on hold for 10 minutes. I sent an email to their support group. I hit submit and was told it was unable to submit and try later. I tried two more times. I am on the phone again with the same results. If I'm on the phone too long, I'll pack the mess up and send it to Amazon. This is not fair to Amazon and a PITA for me. I hope Greenworks corporate will see this and give me a better solution. I might up the rating if that happens. There are many manufacturers of line trimmers that want my business. There is an update. I talked to a person on the phone. She explained that the BCI feature didn't work, and then talked to her manager, who said they wouldn't replace it because the battery held a charge. This would be like buying a refrigerator with a light that didn't come on and being told that it still gets cold so we won't fix it. Customer service has value, I hope someone in corporate knows that.
👤I bought a Greenworks 20-Inch 40V Mower, it's ok, you can read my review here. I decided to kill two birds with one stone after buying a gas powered trimmer. The trimmer is great. I can mow the perimeter of the house using 50% of the battery, which leaves me enough juice to complete the mowing. The auto-feed works well. The main complaint I can see is that the shaft is a fixed length and someone shorter may have an issue with it. I can't complain that it works for me. The trimmer is very powerful and gets the job done. I bought it on sale and can't complain anymore. Five stars. The trimmer is still awesome after a year of use. 👤This is a real WEED WHACKER. The bomb does not play around. Be warned, it whacks everything in its path. I love it because it cuts my work time in half. I bought a new machine because of the $150 replacement battery, and I'm glad I did. The double line makes a big difference, and the battery lasts two hours. I've been using it for about 3 weeks. I used to have to stop and take things apart to get them out of harms way, because lillies with heavy leaves can pull at the motor and shorten its running time. It is long, but I can reach under bushes easily. I'm a 71 year old woman with not very strong arms, but I can handle it. The GreenWorks product is A+ in my book.
This product is in line with customer requirements. Only one hour charged can meet your working requirements. The edger is easy to convert from trimmer to edger in seconds. The string trimmer has a cutting diameter of 10 inches and a line diameter of 0.065 inch. The blower has a rotating speed of 180kwh and a no-load speed of 13500rpm. It's suitable for clean leaves, dust, garage, porch, driveway, terrace and other areas. It can be used to blow Lesser Snow.
👤It's light and does a good job. It's not as strong as my gas powered one, but it's great on grass and weeds. It doesn't sling dirt and grass as much because it's a little weaker. It's what I wanted. The batteries charge up quickly. In the past, I've burned out electric weed eaters because I'd run them too long, so there's an advantage in having battery powered ones, the motor and I both get a rest when the batteries run out of power. I thought I'd be less pleased with it.
👤The weed whip took down some tall weeds. I was able to weed whip some tall grass and I am 20 weeks pregnant. It definitely gave me the shakes for about 2 hours after I finished. I had a great laugh when I told him how it went.
👤I used the weed trimmer all summer. My expectations went down the tubes. This was bought in May. I smell something burning in August. The head is smoking. The leaf bower has a cheap table fan. I am done. The review was original. The weed trimmer works well. A portable without a gas engine. The leaf blower doesn't discharge the battery until it's time to call it quits. When the battery charge replenishes the batteries in minutes, I found that out. In short. The thumbs up and thumbs down are for the trimmer and blower.
👤I don't like this purchase. The set was black anddecker. The unit is short and difficult to handle. I am a woman, only 5 foot 4 and it is too short. The blower and trimmer are heavier than they need to be. Not user friendly. The battery life is not great. I used to be able to edge my whole yard with the same battery, but now it's half that capacity. I didn't buy the B and D again.
👤I used the blower to purchase this. I was not happy with the trimmer. The instructions are worthless. Most of it is not hard, but the metal guard. I didn't use it. It doesn't seem that long. I'm 5'11 and I found myself bending over. The quality is low. It seemed to cut ok when I used it. My back was killing me after 30 minutes. The instructions seem to be useless for most of these things. I regret buying this. I wish I had paid more.
👤The product was great. I can't find a replacement. I ordered the combination blower and weed eater and it had a replacement pack in the picture. The replacement caulks do not fit the Weedeater very well. If the picture shows the combo package plus the replacement spools, it would fit together. The weed eater is not listed on the POWERSMART web site. If you can only use it for a short time, it's not a good product.
👤I liked the combo and thought it would be a great purchase. The blower works. Powerful enough to do the job. The battery lasts okay, but I wish it would last longer. Simple quits when it runs out. I'm very disappointed in the trimmer. It worked great when it did, but the string would cut off and I had to open it to get more out. Work for 2 seconds and stop. I bought replacements after I thought I had a bad spool. It worked for about 30 minutes and then boom, cut off. I'm going to throw this thing away. It's so frustrating. Can't finish the job. The three stars were due to the trimmer. The blower could get a five star rating.
