Brand: Powersmart

👤The battery lasts long enough to do our front yard. On a quarter acre lot. But- No cord to worry about! No worries about gasoline! It is very light and cuts well.

👤I used "Black & Decker" in my search terms on Amazon, and the page that showed 49 B&D products had this one "Sponsored" product also listed. I think I would try it out because I blame Amazon for slipping it in. The installed line was not tough enough for edging, which is what I bought it for. The line would snap off in the middle after about 3-6 feet and had to be manually lengthened. I couldn't tighten the shaft enough to keep it from rotating. The B&D can be obtained if you spend $90.

👤I wanted a weed eater that was easy to use. Plug the battery into it. Pull the button. Couldn't be harder to use. The guide made it easy for me to trim along my yard edgers. I have never used a weed eater that was so easy to use. It has a small battery, but it works for me.

👤This seems powerful enough, but you'll have to pull out the string manually, and the string wouldn't come out with the button, I would skip this one.

👤I have had a gas powered weed eater that has always been hard to use and heavy. I am amazed at how easy it is to use and lightweight. I love it so much. It makes weed eating easier. I don't dread doing this chore anymore. The battery lasts a long time.

👤It works great and I have no complaints about it. It works the same as a corded weed wacker. I like it because it's battery-operated.

👤Unless you want to rewind the line yourself, make an other product choice. I bought this trimmer because I wanted to be able to buy replacement spools easily. One was on the product page. They were too big for that one, so they had to return it. No one to talk to, I called the company for help. I was told to order parts online. There was no part for the product number given in the instruction manual. I looked on the internet for others who were selling the string trimmer. It reviewed the questions about replacement spools. There are no available due to the odd size. I am returning the item for an incorrect description and suggest you consider the information before purchasing.

👤Don't buy! This thing is garbage. Poor build quality. There is no life indicator on the battery. I was trying to attach the edger to the trimmer when the wheels fell off. They can't be re-attached because there's a missing part. The instructions are not useful. I look like a hunchback using the thing. It seems like it's made for people. The worst trimmer I've ever owned. I think it will fall apart in a couple of weeks. It should not be possible to sell a product like that. It should be removed from Amazon and anyone who made a mistake buying it should get a full refund. The tool no longer works after the charger stopped working. The angle adjustment of the head is loose and won't hold the position well. I agree with the timelines for this thing to give out.

2. BLACK DECKER Trimmer Sweeper LCC222

BLACK DECKER Trimmer Sweeper LCC222

The blower is only 4.4 lbs with the battery attached, and the trimmer is only 5.3 lbs. Both are light enough to operate. The 2in1 design allows you to use a string trimmer and an edger at the same time. AJUSTABLE HEIGHT AND SOFT-GRIP HANDLE. Control and comfort for extended use. Automatic feeding of trimmer line without bumping for seamless trimming. The sweeper is ideal for clearing grass clippings, leaves, and other debris. Quiet operation. It keeps noise to a minimum. The string trimmer/edger and sweeper are light. The power connect batteries ensure a consistent charge.

Brand: Black+decker

👤I wondered if I'd make a wise purchase after reading the initial reviews. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we've ever made. My husband was skeptical when he first took the tools out of the box because they were much lighter. His first comment was "are these toys?" The leaf-blower is weak according to some of the reviews. If you intend to use it as a professional landscaping tool or if you have a lot of trees that drop mounds of Autumn leaves, it would not be a good choice. It's perfect for cleaning up after mowing and trimming. Our driveway is wide behind our house, and we have a large porch. The blower cleans them quickly and perfectly, not a grass clipping, a chunk of dry dirt, or small stone in sight. The blower is perfect for the tree that drops small leaves. A person needs a trimmer to keep fence-lines neat and pretty, and to edge the sidewalk and garage. My husband loves these because they are much quieter and have a better battery life. We had four batteries that had to be changed in our small yard. He can do it quickly with one battery. He likes the trimmer so much that he edges the sidewalks of the two houses to our left and right. The neighbors love him. Overall, we are very, very glad we chose this set, it was a good price, easy to use, and quiet... What more could a person want?

👤The unit was covered in grass clippings when we opened it. It was probably returned after being used. There was a request for a replacement.

👤The edger does a good job and I don't see any problems with grass, weeds, or anything else. Some of the reviews say it can't handle the load. It's true! If you are looking for something that is light-weight, easy to work with, and electric, then this edger is a good choice. It's pretty much what we got. The blower can't handle wet grass. Unless you are blowing very dry, the blower consumes a lot of power. It works well in that case.

👤I am a 50 year old female and this product is easy to use. The battery only lasts 30 minutes in my yard, so I'm glad I got the 2 battery option. It takes hours to charge.

👤I own a Honda 4-stroke string trimmer that can cut a farm field and a corded blower that can clear leaves from a large lawn. Why did I purchase these? The cord is a pain, the Honda is heavy and a pain, and sometimes my wife wants to just touch up my grass cutting along the side of the house and the trees. She preferred the battery-powered Black and Decker that died. She will only use the Honda if I start it. We spent an entire $88 to buy this string trimmer and "sweeper", they won't call it a blower, for good reason. It's $88 for two tools. Light trimming along the house walls and sidewalks can be accomplished with the string trimmer. It has an edger-bracket that pops out. I wouldn't call it a strong edger. The line feed is automatic. No bumping. It works. It comes with two battery packs. Each person will run the trimmer for a while. I haven't tested the battery life of thesweeper yet. The "sweeper" does a great job of clearing the patio and sidewalk. The "sweeper" is quieter than the corded blower. It only has one string and the speed is not very high. This is not the tool for clearing thick weeds or brush, or cutting a patch of grass on a hill. The sweeper is not a leaf blower. Not even close. The tool set is outstanding for light-duty jobs. I am going to use it on my own after most grass cutting jobs. I will use the Honda or corded blower for tougher jobs. You don't really expect a package of string trimming and leaf-blowing to cost $88?

3. BLACK DECKER ST4500 12 Inch Electric

BLACK DECKER ST4500 12 Inch Electric

The components included are: a trimmer/edger, a guard, and a feed Spool. While you're working, the cord retention system protects against accidental unplugging.

Brand: Black+decker

👤I bought this for my Light weight and it works great, I took it out of the box and plugged it in, I am a 63 year old woman.

👤I used the weed trimmer for the first time. This thing does a great job, I can't believe it! If you don't feel like bumping it on the sidewalk, you can just turn it over, press the middle part, and pull gently. The line does not seem to break off every two seconds, so I have better luck with this type of weed trimmer. I know that sometimes the dual line head sounds better, but I had better luck with this single line trimmer yesterday than I have had with a dual line, and this reminds me of when the weedeaters first came out. They were similar to this one. I had the best luck with them and the new trimmer. Even if I don't push on thetrigger, the automatic feed trimmers keep the line moving. I spend more time with an automatic feed trimmer than I did with the bump feed. Sometimes I can't do the job with the automatic feed, and I wasted more line with the automatic feed trimmer. The trimmer is so light that I can do this job without hurting my back. I am too small to handle a gas powered trimmer and the dual line automatic feed electric trimmers are too heavy. It feels like this particular trimmer was made for me, and I am very happy that I found it. I hurt my back a year ago, had surgery, and a lot of physical therapy, and am just now getting to where I can do things like light trimming. This trimmer gets an A+ from me.

👤This is the first weed trimmer I have ever used, so I have nothing to compare it to. I bought the trimmer to take down the weeds in the overgrown yard and then for regular edge trimming after that. I am 61 years old and have not much upper body strength. The pros are 1. I can use it for almost an hour before I give up. 2. I didn't want to depend on "rechargeable" batteries or the starter on a gas machine, and this just needs an extension cord and it starts. 3. The grass and weeds are cut. The cons are 1. It's short, I have to bend forward slightly for the entire time, but after 30 - 40 minutes it causes back pain, which isn't a problem for a few minutes. Is this model cheap because it is short or is it because it is? I'm not that tall, so I can't be the only one with this problem. 2. Some of the time, the bump mechanism works. I have to feed the line through and put it back together after cutting off the line for 20 minutes. 3. The cap is difficult to remove. "Press tabs to remove" can only be done with strength and dexterity. I chose this model as my first trimmer/edger because it's lightweight and good for learning how to use it. In the future, I will look for one with a longer handle and a line cap that is easier to remove.

4. BLACK DECKER BESTA510 Electric Trimmer

BLACK DECKER BESTA510 Electric Trimmer

40V 2Ah Li-Ion battery and charger are included. Automatic Feed Spool technology of the edger/trimmer eliminates bumping for hassle-free line feeding that helps you work without interruption. The grass cutter's powerdrive transmission and 6.5 Amp motor give it maximum performance when trimming through the toughest weeds. The wheeled edge guide converts from lawn trimmer to wheeled edger. The lightweight design has height positions that provide maximum comfort and control. Accidental cord disconnection is prevented by the cord retention system. A 14-inch path is used to get the job done. Rpm is 8000rpm.

Brand: Black+decker

👤I ordered an electric trimmer and mower to use this summer. With my husband deployed to the middle east, I decided I needed something easy to use that was still functional. We've used Black + Decker's brand in the past with smaller power tools and felt they were a good investment. I'm happy to say I'm not disappointed after one use. They were easy to assemble and I trimmed our yard in a few minutes. My husband is going to have to fight me to use these tools when he gets back because handling things alone is less daunting.

👤The unit I bought was to replace a dead gas-powered trimmer. As long as one remembers a couple of admonitions, it runs very well. 1. It is not made for swamps and underbrush. It's for lawn and landscaping. The motor has a rating of about 1/2 horsepower. It's not designed for lumberjacks. 2. The head should not be put in the middle of the patch to be trimmed. Slowly move it into the area. Don't force it into the grass or weeds. Let it do what it does. Stressing it can lead to failure. Don't expect miracles. It's 50 bucks. Pricing the beasts used by the pros is a good idea.

👤I finally got tired of pulling on a gas one and didn't want to deal with maintaining batteries. I chose the largest Amps. The trade off is pulling an extension cord as I edge the yard. The roller is permanently fixed and I use it to guide me around my fruit trees. The no bumping auto feeders were easy to use. The initial 30' of cord lasted only an hour, because the unit uses 0.065” cord and a lot of it.

👤Even though the length of the shaft is adjusted, I still end up hunching over to use the trimmer. I'm tall. That is more of a defect than the trimmer. The autofeed works great, it eats most everything I throw at it. The motor is powerful, so make sure to wear eye protection when cutting up against a wall or rocks. Or other difficult things. When trimming against the house, I learned to bark through my nose.

👤Light weight and well balanced, great weed whacker. I got 2 years out of the last one. The longer guarantee was bought by me this time.

👤I've always had gas trimmers. Very impressed with it so far. I was surprised at how well it cuts. It's easy to use. After using for a long time, there was no shoulder or back pain. The wheel makes it easy to edge. Since it collapses down, it's easier to store.

👤The ease of assembly and use on this thing is amazing, but it broke after a day of use. You will wonder why it has been so hard to replace the trimmer spool. The problem is that the auto string dispensers rely on a flimsy little latch that will break as soon as dirt or debris gets in it. I wouldn't count on it if you were only doing the lightest work. The ground cover weeds that grow up between the pavers broke when I was trimming them. Nothing that should have killed it.

5. MAXLANDER Batteries Detachable Replacement Lightweight

MAXLANDER Batteries Detachable Replacement Lightweight

Two years is dedicated to building tools that are reliable for a long time. Their commitment to quality is reflected in their warranties. Any questions will be answered within 24 hours. The MAXLANDER Cordless String Trimmer can feed garden and yard weeds, but also be used to feed weeds on the edge of the flowerbed and the Corner of hours. MAXLANDER powerful weed wacker own 2Pcs 20V 2.0Ah battery and fast Charger. There are batteries and a quick-charger. The 2.0Ah fast charger can be fully charged in one hour, and the battery can last for up to 30 minutes. The rubber handle feels better when used. This design can provide you with the most comfortable operation and will not cause you to be tired for a long time. Lightweight and Detachable- This is a MAXLANDER 10inch. The weed wacker can increase the amount of Torque, which is good for clean, fast cuts. Less than 6 pounds. The power drive and low noise are related.

Brand: Maxlander

👤I had to buy this because I was so sick of mixing gas for my old weed wackier. The old gas guzzling Weedwhacker was difficult to use. They are loud and heavy to use. The electric Weedwhacker makes yardwork and chores easy. It is late with the battery. It was easy to put together and came with six back up spools. I will never buy line again. I would buy it again and again. I hope this helped.

👤I like this trimmer. It's easy to use and it's stronger than I expected. I can't find a battery. I can purchase the whole thing again, but I want an additional battery. I don't have to stop using the trimmer until the battery runs out. I'm sure there is a place to find just the battery without having to buy another one. I can't say anything bad about the tool. I like it.

👤The trimmer seems to be a quality product and does the job as expected. It's perfect for trimming around the yard. It's not made for heavy duty cutting in large areas. The thicker grasses and weeds only took a single pass to be cut. This is excellent and highly recommended for its purpose and price point.

👤Extra strings, a battery, and a charging point are included in the package. It doesn't have the same power as a corded mower and you don't need to maneuver around an extension cord to get to those tough spots.

👤There are a lot of uses for this type of grass trimmer. I am sure. Roadside weeds are not one of them. I bought it to help control the horsetail that grows on the land. I thought I could just get out of the truck and use it. Horsetail is an average weed, but it struggled immediately. One thin string was not enough for it to be fully charged. Couldn't imagine trying on thistles, the brome grass near the cabin, and the P.lettuce.

👤It doesn't have a lot of power. If the grass isn't too tall then multiple passes are needed to cut to desired level but that's a 20V. It is a good value for $60. The real negatives. The metal guide is useless when trimming around a metal pole or damaging a plant. There were no holes for the trimmer to attach to. The guard that has to be used is easy to remove. The string will wrap around the spool without the guard. Grass will cause one to take the time to clean around the spool. If the guard is attached more firmly, this won't happen. I duct taped the guard to the trimmer. The battery has a good life. Next time I buy a 40V, I'll look for something else.

👤It wasn't tough enough to weedwhack English ivy and the battery ran out too soon. We needed something quick and reliable to perform. Returned.

👤You will receive 2 batteries according to the advertisement. You can't order an extra battery. The machine works well, but the battery runs out in 20 minutes and it takes an hour to replenish. I can live with that if I have an additional battery, but it seems that they are not available. A representative from MaxLander told me that I could buy extra batteries for my leaf blower or other product. I was not impressed with the customer service. There was no second battery. Don't buy it.

6. BLACK DECKER LST522 Lithium 2 Speed

BLACK DECKER LST522 Lithium 2 Speed

The 0.065-inch single line auto feed is very fast. Automatic Feed Spool feeds edger/ trimmer line as needed without bumping. The LBXR2520 battery has more battery capacity for longer. You can extend the life of the lawn trimmer with 2-speed control. The power drive transmission increases the power at the string. It is possible to convert from trimmer to wheeled edger. Premium soft grip improves comfort and control. The 20V MAX System has one system. There are a lot of tasks. For your style, power. The maximum initial battery voltage is 20. TheNominal voltage is 18V.

Brand: Black+decker

👤I only used this once and it did a great job of handling the thick viney weeds in my yard. I used power level 2 a few times but most of it was doable at level 1. When I finished, the battery had more juice left. I bought this model in order to get the better battery. I can tell you that the included battery is the only difference between the various models of this trimmer and I've posted a chart of the available batteries to save you some time. I spent a lot of time on Amazon trying to figure out if I should buy a set or individual purchases for the string trimmer, sweeper, and hedge trimmer. I bought the model string trimmer to get a better battery. The hedge trimmer and sweeper have batteries. Even if it's the lesser LBXR20 battery, an extra battery and charger can't hurt. CONVENIENCE: I bought a top-rated string trimmer last year. It was too heavy for me to use on my steep yard. The extension cord was limiting. I can take this little B&D anywhere in my yard. It seems like a great solution for me, and I hope it performs well for a long time.

👤I've used gas blowers and electric trimmers for 40 years. I was unsure about battery trimmers and needed to replace my string trimmer. Just do it, I'm here to let you know. I ran it on a full battery for about an hour and still went on the same charge. I cut back a lot of tough Boston Ivy with the 0.65 thickness string and it did not miss a beat. I was worried about my weight. It is not as heavy as my old electric trimmer. I am looking at other devices from Black and Decker. You won't be disappointed if you get one of these.

👤I've been a homeowner for 45 years and have two gas abd electic models from different manufacturers. I liked the quiet operation of those models. I didn't like mixing gas and oil and winterizing gas models. Few started quickly. The Black & Decker is a dream. Very quiet, lightweight, auto feed line, and instant start. I can trim the primeter and all around the house on a single charge. I look forward to using it.

👤I used to use a gas powered trimmer. The dude was strong. rotator cuff surgeries don't leave you with the strongest shoulders. My back screamed for two days after I did our yard. It doesn't help that I'm only 5'1. The little guy is easy to use and adjusts for height, but is not as strong as the gas trimmer. The battery should be charged long enough. The 2500ajj LBXR20 battery on Amazon is an upgrade from the one that comes with the trimmer. I have plenty of battery power to do my entire yard and I charge both my trimmer and battery.

👤I've had it for 2 years and only use it once or twice a month. The product is garbage. You have to wait a few seconds before it runs again after a routine trimming. This garbage is made in China and is not worthy of a Black & Decker name. Don't waste your money.

7. BLACK DECKER GSL35 3 6 Volt Lithium Ion

BLACK DECKER GSL35 3 6 Volt Lithium Ion

A cord retention hook is built into the grass cutting equipment. The carbon footprint of the yard can be reduced with the help of the electric lawn and garden equipment from Black+Decker. The hedge trimmer's 3.6V battery can be charged and ready for up to 18 months. The lightweight design of the trimmers for plants makes them great for trimming grass and shrubs or for people who want to save weight. It has a 6 inch trimming blade for detailedPruning of ornamental bushes and shrubs and a 4 inch grass shear blade for precision trimming of grass around flower beds, walkways, and posts. The handle has a soft grip. The user can see when the charging indicator is ready to use.

Brand: Black+decker

👤I am female. I don't like yard work. I just bought a house and now am responsible for all of my own maintenance. This little hedge trimmer is perfect for my needs. I'm the one using it, even though all the men who saw it laughed. It's what I needed. The button on the side of the handle is too far away from the safety feature and the handle is too thick for me to do the process one handed. I have to press the button on the side with one hand, and thetrigger in the handle with the other. I have small hands so that's my problem more than an actual defect, so that's what makes it a little more dangerous. This is a product intended for small gardening jobs, but that's not what I needed, so I love it. I don't think I'll ever need the other attachment for edging, but it isn't a bad thing to have options. The product is great for small yard maintenance.

👤I've used the Black+Decker Shrub Trimmer/Grass Shear combo for many years and I swear by it. If you think it will work like a hedge trimmer, then stick with the big ones. The ability of this small wonder to maneuver is amazing, and there is nothing you can't do with it to make bushes look better. They don't cut limbs, so don't try, it could ruin your trimmer. You can cut smaller stems and look like a ninja warrior. I use the different blades for my specific trimming needs, I love this trimmer so much that I have two of them. I got two more trimmers because they don't keep the battery life they used to. I think I'm set for life. This trimmer is great for sculpting. My senior hands work well. I'm sure you'll love this trimmer if you give it a try. Let it do the work for you.

👤There is a small flaw in this trimmer. I bought this trimmer to trim wisteria on my deck. I used to use a hand pruner and a large gas hedge trimmer, but they were not convenient. I just finished trimming 45' of wisteria, which was very overgrown, and it was easy. The safety button is the only issue. You have to hold it in before it gets depressed. Most people don't have the option to ignore the button in my shop. I think the reviewer was expecting to use the trimmer to trim Thier hedge row. It is a light duty hedge trimmer. I threw a pile of wisteria down my steps. After 10 minutes of use, there was no battery loss.

👤Save your money! It's a piece of trash. The small battery does not have enough power. The blade is calling off. The power of the Trigger requires a lot of strength. Ten bucks is not worth much less than thirty. Thank you for letting me post! Dan.

👤The GSL35 was purchased to replace an older Black & Decker hand held grass trimmer that was no longer available. The clipper blades are easy to install and the GSL35 is very light. I did not attempt to use it for hedge trimming. I found that within minutes the clipper blade would seize up and wouldn't move back and forth after trimming grass and similar vegetation. See the video. The manufacturer didn't respond to my email for about 2 weeks and then provided a video that showed the same problem I encountered as well as the limited and inadequate utility of the product. The grass was wet. Unless one is cutting straw, there will always be some water in the grass, particularly in grass high or thick enough to need a device like this. This problem did not occur with the older B&D hand held electronic grass clipper that was purchased to replace it. I have been assured by the manufacturer that there will be a full refund when I return the product within 30 days of purchase, after I received authorization from Amazon.

There is a grass trimmer, a battery, a cutting blade, goggles, and a small screw wrench. If you don't know how to assemble the product, please contact them through Amazon and they will give you a satisfactory solution. The life of the brushless motor is increased by 10 times, which maximizes the efficiency and longevity of the motor. The control and head adjustment is low speed and high speed. The head adjustment angle is 0, 22.5, 45, 67.5, 90 and the rear handle rotation angle is 90. will meet user comfort needs The trimmer line is coiled and easy to load and unload, and the innovative push-button system feeds line when you need it. More trimming is done in less time with the 14" cutting width. The powerful battery can be charged in about an hour. It has a good amount of power for an electric trimmer. What you get is 40V. A battery pack, a charging dock, a mowing wheel, and a user manual are included.

Brand: Hychika Better Tools For Better Life

👤The instructions on how to put this thing together need to be written in an instruction manual. It's not good for a short person to use. I'm 5'1' and it's not me. I will not come back after getting most of it together. I hope my taller granddaughter uses it for me. Have not used it yet and may be back to give it another rating.

👤Its design is very well designed and uses good materials. I was very satisfied with all of the products. There are two factors that diminish my enthusiasm. The prices are increasing quickly. Non standard consumables are hard to find and expensive. The trimmer head is unavailable. When the head is worn, do I put this machine in the landfill? The price for my chainsaw is rising because it is only available from the store that sells it. The customer service from hychika is excellent.

👤It is. The cuts are fine. I haven't used it on high. It was not nice to have to use both batteries at the same time. They included a second battery so you could keep one charging while the other one was used. It only takes about 10 minutes to run. I haven't found anyone who sells replacement batteries online. Have never seen a double charge. The line feed is something that I really dislike. It feeds line out when you let off thetrigger and squeeze again. So far, the product is a good one.

👤I waited a long time to get one of these. I've been reading reviews and I understand that people have issues with assembly and it lasts a long time when used from full charge. I have had no issues with it so far. I never opened the instructions, the assembly was very easy to assemble. I understand that this might not be the same for everyone, but if you are technically inclined you should be able to do a quick job. I ran in under 10 minutes. I took it outside and whacked it away through the front yard. I was very happy with the results. I may post a follow up post when I get around to doing a yard day. I know of some posts with issues with refill and how to do it. I don't know if I've looked at it yet.

👤I try to give things the benefit of the doubt because I'm broke most of the time and price point can be a deciding factor. The cap that held the string in place broke the second time we used it, rendering it useless. It ran for about 45 minutes. It wasn't too heavy. I have never used one before. I was able to figure it out without looking at the instructions, so I think it was user friendly.

👤The weed eater is cheap. The instruction manual doesn't explain a lot. It doesn't tell you how to pool the line. It doesn't tell you if you need to buy a new set. It doesn't have the ability to let fresh line out by tapping it on the ground, so you have to stop what you are doing and press a button on the bottom side of the spool. It was light weight and only had one thing going for it. I will send it back when I finish this review.

9. BLACK DECKER MTC220 12 Inch Cordless

BLACK DECKER MTC220 12 Inch Cordless

There is a collection bag and a mower. 3 tools in 1 can be used to convert from mower to trimmer. Automatic feed system ensures continuous work. The ideal property is 750 square feet. The power drive transmission prevents the vehicle from stalling. The cutting heights are 1.6 and 2.4 inches. The deck trimmer has a pivot handle. 60 percent 2.5 hours. Includes batteries for extended run time.

Brand: Black+decker

👤It is easy to use and lightweight. It's fun to change it from a string trimmer to a mower. The whole unit is lighter than the string trimmer I used to have, and it handles everything I need in my small front and back yards. In tight spots, I can just pick up the whole unit and turn it around. It is easy to hose down the mower dock. I love this thing.

👤I would love to give this 10 stars. There is a fish pond, raised boxes for veggies, and a walkway to the pool in my backyard. This mower makes it easy to take care of this setup. I don't need to change it to get the string out. I can switch from mowing to trimming by stepping on the lever. I bought an extra battery that doubled the use time. It's not a burden with that battery. I use the 2.0 and 4.0 batteries each time I mow, but still have power left when I'm done. I bought an extra because I have a screwdriver that uses the same batteries. You can go over things you couldn't do with a real mower. You don't have to be afraid of blade breaking. This is perfect for a small yard or elderly person who doesn't want to use a gas powered mower. It's an incredible product. There is a photo of my area.

👤I needed a small, lightweight mower that I could transport back and forth to my mom's house, so I bought this unit. I'm happy it came with two battery packs, but I only need one because my job is small. I can use it as a trimmer and edger and it fits my needs. My main concern wasOWER. I only have to mow a small patch of lawn. It's new grass, but it's grown for a long time. The mower did a good job on areas that it trimmed, but rows of grass got pressed flat by the wheels, so the blades did not get cut by the trimmer. I don't think the mower is to blame for that, because I can't see how a mower could reach those blades. As the grass blades stand up better, I will have less problem with that. In the interim, I mowed like I was pushing a vacuum cleaner with one hand and raking the grass with the other. The blades that were cut were even to the ground. The platform can be adjusted but not in the manual. I only knew about it because of a sticker on the platform, but it's not clear how to do that. You have to pull the axle. It comes set on high. I like the default setting. The handle has telescopes. I played around with it and figured out that they don't want short people to use this thing. Pull the handle out instead of releasing it like you want to tilt the head. Changing from mower to edger and back is very easy. It's one of the best things about this combo. The action of the trimmer is excellent. I don't have any complaints. Ditto for the edger. It cuts like a dream when it converts from edger to trimmer. I wouldn't recommend this as a mower for large areas because I have to push like a vacuum cleaner. It would be too inefficient. I have small areas that are fine. If you want something primarily for trimming/edging, I highly recommend this unit.

👤I have an unfortunate amount of yard work. I gave up on the gas-powered weed trimmer that was leftover from my marriage. I spent more time figuring it out than trimming. My back and shoulders were killed. With gas powered yard machines, I don't know how much oil to mix, what kind of gas to put in and so on. I'm not a mechanical person. My quest for an easier and lighter weed trimmer began. I landed on this Worx Trimmer because of reviews on Amazon and other marketplaces. After three mowing cycles, I have used the weed trimmer. No regrets so far. It's economical. The second battery is very useful because I have almost an acre of yard. If I decide to get a third battery, I can get one for about 40 dollars. I took out the four-year warranty for less than five bucks, which was an added bonus for the mechanically challenged. How does it perform? I like it. A friend of mine stopped by and said how nice the yard was. I have a health issue that causes chronic pain and the trimmer is lightweight. The lack of weight is a huge relief compared to the amount of weight the gas trimmer has. I have enough to take care of my yard, even though the batteries will lose steam. A child could easily feed line. I need to say more. I went back and forth with this brand and another that starts with a B. I didn't know about this brand. So glad that I chose the Worx. It will work for you if it works for me. If you found my review helpful, please click/tap the yes icon. Thank you so much!

👤It's great for a small property. The string that came with it should be changed. It's weak and needs to be fed. I use the.80 string from DeWalt and it is better than the.worx string that comes with it. You just have to tap it quickly, while running, it will pause. It will advance a few times when you need more string. The batteries could last longer, but they only give you two of them. It's not a big deal. It would be an issue if they gave you one battery. The edger feature gives you clean looking lines. Keeping that line straight is not the fault of the tools. It's very flexible in terms of comfort, so you can make it fit your body size. It's light enough. This is a great tool for a person with a small property, as long as they have some heavier gauge string. 99 dollars is a good price for a decent weed whacker. I have a corner property in the suburbs so I have plenty of grass. I can edge it all with one battery.

👤This isn't a gas mower. You can enjoy the benefits of this gem once you get that in your head. I've always had gas trimmers. I hated the destruction of fencing, siding, and edging. I have never liked getting hit in the shins with rocks and mulch chips. I don't like ringing in my ears or vibrating hands, they are not on my list of fun things. The little 20V trimmer is able to address all those issues. It cuts the grass, even though it isn't as powerful as a gas trimmer. What more do you need? It is a lot lighter. It has less noise. It is very quiet. The lack of power is a benefit. It's much easier to control a more detailed cut. The flip over edging feature is great for lining out your natural edges on landscaping beds. I know what you are thinking, how long do the batteries last? I have a quarter acre with large beds, a fence, curbs, a fire pit, and five trees to trim. This thing does them all and has enough in reserve to run my Worx blower on all the surfaces now covered with grass. Would I buy this if I were a commercial landscaper? Nope. Would I buy it if my yard was bigger? I only use one battery now. It comes with two. I have no regrets. The gasser is at a garage sale.

👤I don't know how I didn't notice, but this doesn't auto-feed string well. Most trimmers have a simple option which this unit does not. I assumed all trimmers had auto feed. You have to start/stop the trimming many times to make the string feed. It's pretty annoying and doesn't seem to work. I already had 4A, 24V batteries. I was a little worried at first, but this unit does a great job. The battery lasts 45 minutes or so and I have plenty of time for my small yard. The edges and trims are perfect. This is a great option for smaller yards. I would have had to run through two or three full charges to complete the yardwork. It will take more time if you want to go this route. If you don't want to chop down your flowers or plants, the guard is useful. It is easy to flip to an edger once you are in that mode. Extra string and cover is nice. If you only have one battery, the batteries charge quickly.

👤I will return this thing first. My lawn mower is battery operated. I was looking forward to the features they boasted about. Nothing about the string assembly makes sense. I don't want to spend half my day clicking the power on and off to advance the string. It is a weak, thin string to begin with. It is pointless to trim and edge because it wears down so fast. I gave up halfway through my yard. My old 12V Black and Decker ran circles around this thing. Don't buy it!

👤I gave this string trimmer two stars because it is strong. The loose lower handle can't tighten further but constantly falls off, and it takes a lot of pressure to keep the handle depressed, so I knocked it off for three stars. I don't recommend this trimmer.

👤I bought this item for my husband to replace our gas weed eater/trimmer when we replaced our gas powered lawn mower after the repair would cost more than a new mower. The weed eater has not let us down. I am very happy with this purchase. The weed eater has a rechargeable battery that doesn't make it uncomfortable to hold, and it's a battery-operated weed eater. If you already have a weed eater, I wouldn't recommend it. I would have preferred to get the slightly larger one so that the battery was interchangeable with our lawn mower, but this one is a different battery and charger. GreenWorks offers several smaller items like the drill, and this battery fits them. We haven't had to replace the weed eater yet, but we've been using it weekly since mid April and haven't had to replace it yet. There is a guide for the string and a guard on the weed eater that you can use to edge without hitting flowers. The weed eater is light enough to be used for a short period of time, and the battery lasts for about 45 minutes. The low end is when we use it in larger patches of weeds. The weed eater we replaced was heavy and expensive. GreenWorks is a good quality built product, and it wasn't nearly as expensive as we thought. I'm a lifelong customer and I'm impressed.
